Feb 08 20:00:24 unfortunately no Feb 08 20:00:44 just a README saying how to install it, but not to use it :) Feb 08 20:01:45 my angstrom device has usually root with no password as wirelessdreamer says Feb 08 20:33:50 Is angstrom.org down? Feb 08 20:34:01 yes Feb 08 20:34:27 Blastur: OK, thanks :-) Feb 08 21:04:14 !logs Feb 08 21:04:15 Channel logs for #angstrom are archived at: Feb 08 21:04:16 http://hentges.net/tmp/logs/irc/%23angstrom Feb 08 21:04:17 Live-logs are available at Feb 08 21:04:19 http://hentges.net/tmp/logs/irc/livelogs/%23angstrom.livelog Feb 08 21:04:21 See ?? help-logs for usage instructions Feb 08 21:05:57 Any news on when the site will be back up? Feb 08 21:12:30 I guess there's not Feb 09 02:26:10 Is anyone here? Feb 09 02:26:39 I am for another 4 minutes Feb 09 02:26:44 have a quick question? Feb 09 02:26:51 yes kinda Feb 09 02:28:05 I've been trying to get wpa-supplicant to work in openzaurus 3.5.4.1 on a sd disk and it doesn't ever associate. I joined #openzaurus and it directed me here is wpa-supplicant known to work with wpa or wpa-radius enabled in angstrom or 3.5.4.1 openzaurus for a dlink dcf660w? According to my reading it is but I've had no luck as yet. Feb 09 02:28:52 hmm...wpa-supplicant itself works great in angstrom 2007.12 here Feb 09 02:29:07 I have *no* idea about the radius part though since I just use WPA-PSK Feb 09 02:29:40 Ok I visited the web site and I don't get a web page just blank. Is the site having trouble? Where can I get more information on angstrom and download zimage and initrd and such? Feb 09 02:29:51 ok on the radius I can figure that out if i can just get wpa-psk working. =) Feb 09 02:30:18 wow! Feb 09 02:30:21 it worked yesterday Feb 09 02:30:28 I use noscript and cookiesafe but gave temporary permission for the http://www.angstrom-distribution.org web site but nothing. Feb 09 02:30:47 yeah, it worked for me yesterday and I grabbed a new image for my collie Feb 09 02:30:54 Front page I followed a link from google and I have a directory listing of unstable/images but there is nothing for collie. I have a 5500 Feb 09 02:31:06 unstable or stable? Feb 09 02:31:10 very unstable Feb 09 02:31:14 doesn't boot all the way Feb 09 02:31:16 which path would you recommnd off the root of the web server? Feb 09 02:31:19 oh Feb 09 02:31:21 but enough to get a shell with init=/bin/sh Feb 09 02:31:46 ipkg seems to be broken (seg faults) so I might try an older one when I get a chance Feb 09 02:32:13 for collie: http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/autobuild/collie/ Feb 09 02:32:37 so is there a stable angstrom release or is it just at unstable/beta at this point? Feb 09 02:32:40 for machines that had a 2007.12 release (fairly stable): http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/releases/2007.12/images/ Feb 09 02:32:53 you're quicker than me :P Feb 09 02:33:12 I'm sorry? Feb 09 02:33:30 hmm? I mean you asked if they had a stable release right before I pasted that link Feb 09 02:33:36 Didn't get what you meant there? Feb 09 02:33:38 oh ok. =) Feb 09 02:33:59 do you only have a collie? or something else as well? Feb 09 02:34:11 I believe c7x0 is collie right? Just a 5500 Collie. Feb 09 02:34:32 aaah, c7x0 is a couple machines: corgi and some others Feb 09 02:34:39 oh Feb 09 02:34:42 5500 / 5000 is collie Feb 09 02:34:52 c7x0 is one of the best supported machines Feb 09 02:35:00 ok so I don't see that under releases/2007.12/images Feb 09 02:35:23 Where are any Linux pda's still being sold or are they? I'm not familiar with all the different platforms out there. Feb 09 02:35:53 Nokia's "Internet Tablets" run Linux and X11 with a somewhat customized GTK Feb 09 02:36:36 anyways Feb 09 02:36:40 So is the 5500 Zaurus not well supported then? Would the Nokia tablet be the best bang for the buck at this point? Feb 09 02:36:41 I need to head off to work now Feb 09 02:36:44 oh Feb 09 02:36:50 ty for your help thus far. Feb 09 02:36:59 an N800 is a pretty good deal if you don't need a keyboard Feb 09 02:37:06 I'll browse the tree of the web site and see what I can find out. It's the main page that was not working for me for whatever reason. Feb 09 02:37:14 ok Feb 09 02:37:39 look around at maemo.org, internettablettalk.com/forums and poke at #maemo on freenode Feb 09 02:37:46 all the nokia info you could want :) Feb 09 02:37:47 'later Feb 09 02:37:53 ok. ty l8r. =) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Feb 09 02:59:57 2008
