**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Jul 23 02:59:56 2008 Jul 23 03:01:51 I'm experimenting with a Zaurus SL-C3000 and have tested both X11 and Opie. X11 takes too much resources, and I much prefer Opie, but where is the web browser? I cannot find any packages that look like a web browser. Is there an alternative which doesn't require hours of compiling and customization? Or am I better of with an old version of OpenZaurus? Jul 23 08:06:49 bonsoir Jul 23 20:57:48 hi Jul 23 22:06:26 Jay7: hello Jul 23 22:06:30 ant_: hi :) Jul 23 22:06:45 I'm almost finished with u-boot frepackage Jul 23 22:06:54 -f Jul 23 22:07:00 good ;) Jul 23 22:07:41 can partition sizes be set from local.conf? Jul 23 22:08:06 ;-/ Jul 23 22:08:14 :) Jul 23 22:09:08 during your try, did you change #define NAND_LOGICAL_SIZE 0x700000 ? Jul 23 22:09:16 in u-boot? Jul 23 22:09:25 you can set some placeholders in patches (akita.h) and then sed it in oe_configure Jul 23 22:09:34 no, left as is Jul 23 22:09:40 ah Jul 23 22:09:49 even when you resized? Jul 23 22:09:56 but logical is left too :) Jul 23 22:10:07 I've tries that Jul 23 22:10:20 yes, just to be sure you've changed both Jul 23 22:10:40 btw, it should be changed in nandlogical then too Jul 23 22:10:45 do you think I should embed mtdparts in the u-boot sreings? Jul 23 22:11:11 now it's only way Jul 23 22:11:33 so ok, I'll post the patch in 5 min, please review one more time... Jul 23 23:08:48 no sector :-) Jul 23 23:09:07 dunno if it's true for zaurus Jul 23 23:09:37 http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/NAND_bad_blocks Jul 23 23:11:58 may be.. Jul 23 23:12:13 or may not :) Jul 23 23:12:34 hmm +#UBOOT_LOADADRESS_akita = "0xa1000000" Jul 23 23:12:38 ? Jul 23 23:12:56 #UBOOT_LOADADRESS_c7x0 = "0xa0800000" Jul 23 23:13:24 both are commented but you know... Jul 23 23:15:27 ok, I'll remove these and let -(home) as it was previously Jul 23 23:15:48 no matters I think.. Jul 23 23:16:12 yaea, but I cannot remember where I got the wrong info... Jul 23 23:16:21 ;-D Jul 23 23:17:02 you did mkimage -C none -A arm -O linux -T Jul 23 23:17:02 kernel -a 0xA0008000 -e 0xA0008000 -n "Linux 2.6.23" -d ./zImage-2.6.23 uImage Jul 23 23:17:05 but with '-(home)' we can configure only rootfs size in local.conf :) Jul 23 23:17:09 on akita too... Jul 23 23:17:17 yep Jul 23 23:17:39 yes, as you write in oebug Jul 23 23:17:59 only kernel was 2.6.24 Jul 23 23:18:03 why did I found 0xa1000000 ... Jul 23 23:18:08 where ?
