**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jan 25 02:59:56 2010 Jan 25 03:07:55 Hi All, I was able to compile my toolchain 4.2.2 for my dm644_evm. But, after getting an update I couldn't compile the toolchain anymore... I am always getting -I. -I. -I/stuff/build/tmp/work/armv5te-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc-cross-4.2.2-r16.1/gcc-4.2.2/gcc -I/stuff/build/tmp/work/armv5te-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc-cross-4.2.2-r16.1/gcc-4.2.2/gcc/. -I/stuff/build/tmp/work/armv5te-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/gcc-cross-4.2.2-r16.1/gcc-4. Jan 25 07:14:42 I'm trying to use my Overo Fire to running Angstrom to record/play music. I'm looking at the mixer but I don't see anything that looks like a stereo source (either in or out), and I can't select a recording source using alsamixer. Does *anyone* have this working and if so... how??? Thank you. Jan 25 07:58:50 Someone see if they can build from source a file for me? I don't have my hardware yet Jan 25 07:59:12 Actually I guess really just tell me if tcl compiles on angstrom currently Jan 25 18:50:01 I'm trying to get a WiFi dongle to work on a Beagleboard under Angstrom; dmesg mumbles stuff about zd1211b_up and zd1211b_uphr not loading - altho' I see both in /lib/firmware/zd1211 Jan 25 21:22:59 I'm trying to boot my BeagleBoard with the GNOME-based image that the online builder created for me, and after a bunch of "mmcblk0:..." errors, it gives me a message about a "root=" boot option, then a kernel panic. Does anyone know what's going on? Jan 25 21:24:18 mmcblk0 would be an SD card Jan 25 21:24:30 If you have a different card, try that. Jan 25 21:25:55 While not the same machine (I'm slowly getting my collies closer to working again, I think I'm down to just the touchscreen...) of my 3 SD cards, my two older Lexar (64 & 128MB) didn't work and gave me lots of errors on mmcblk0, but the 3rd (a 1GB mini-sd) is working fine. Jan 25 21:27:16 Speaking of which, anyone know why in the later kernels ucb1x00_ts no longer builds, I see something called callie-ts supposedly built in, but it doesn't work at all. Jan 25 21:28:27 I've verified that this card works with a demo image (http://code.google.com/p/beagleboard/wiki/BeagleboardRevCValidation) and I've used the code in http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/demo/beagleboard/ successfully, but I wanted a different build. I'm using the same bootcmd and bootargs I was before. Jan 25 21:29:50 The online builder made an SD card image for a 1GiB card, but I put it on a 2GiB card and resized the ext3 partition before putting the filesystem on. Jan 25 21:30:14 Hrm, have you tried it without resizing? Jan 25 21:30:44 lemme do that... Jan 25 21:36:29 Also, when the image was built, the page showed a red "X" next to angstrom-task-gnome. Is that bad? Jan 25 21:37:27 Means it wasn't included, I think Jan 25 21:39:24 The description for angstrom-task-gnome wasn't very... descriptive. Do I need it? Jan 25 21:42:00 Depends on what you are going for Jan 25 21:45:07 I'm not entirely sure as I haven't used gnome gpe, much at all. Jan 25 21:45:55 ...un-tar-ing... Jan 25 21:51:24 ...still un-tar-ing... Jan 25 21:52:48 sd can be *slow* Jan 25 22:04:58 Well, some of the filesystem made it to the SD card, then I got lots of "Cannot open: No such file or directory" errors, then a bunch of "No space left on device" errors. Jan 25 22:05:50 So many errors that xterm won't let me scroll back to see where they started. Jan 26 02:26:01 Does anyone know how to specify a different kernel (I'd like to try 2.6.26 on collie, which seems to be the last one with ucb1x00_ts **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Jan 26 02:59:56 2010
