Nov 08 13:50:08 i'd like to use OE to generate the angstrom distro but don't know what machine to choose.. Nov 08 13:50:58 do i have to choose beagleboard ? Nov 08 13:57:15 What do you want to know? Nov 08 13:57:49 hi DJWillis, i want to install Angstrom into my devkit8000 board Nov 08 13:58:34 i don't known what target machine i have to choose when using OpenEmbeded or narcisus on the website Nov 08 13:58:56 devkit8000 is not mentionned as a target machine.. is there any reason ? Nov 08 13:59:04 octopus: I don't have a DevKit8000 but is it not just a rebranded BeagleBoard? Nov 08 13:59:42 octopus: A lot of the Beagle 'clones' are not mentioned as they just suck in the upstream BeagleBoard support and don't tend to push anything back (IMHO) Nov 08 13:59:47 yes it is.. but won't i have missing kernel modules or options if i choose beagleboard ? Nov 08 14:01:04 octopus: just looking at the spec, I guess there would be, ask the guys in #Beagle as they would know for sure (depends on how the extra stuff is setup as the BeagleBoard kernel can recognise some 'expansions'). Nov 08 14:01:40 ok i'll ask them Nov 08 14:02:09 you're right devkit8000 has a analog video acquisition input Nov 08 14:02:28 that's the reason why i use it Nov 08 14:03:16 octopus: and ethernet, not sure if they are custom or just hooked up to the defined expansion points in the Beagle design ;). Nov 08 14:06:40 .. don't know.. just discovering this board Nov 08 14:11:18 octopus: Understood, is there not a lot of demo images on there site etc. to get you started? Nov 08 14:33:16 DLWillis : thank you for your help **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Nov 09 02:59:57 2010
