Jul 19 12:51:12 t0bi: something must be wrong with your configuration... Jul 19 12:51:18 t0bi: what is DISTRO set to? Jul 19 12:58:39 mhm, it seems to work now... do i _have_ to be root to build it? Jul 19 13:12:43 hmpf, cannot run bitbake as root.. Jul 19 13:27:00 bluelightning: where can I see which DISTRO is set? Jul 19 13:27:23 t0bi: yes, don't run bitbake as root, very bad idea Jul 19 13:27:38 I just used the three commands from the howto: Jul 19 13:27:42 MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh config beagleboard Jul 19 13:27:42 MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh update Jul 19 13:27:42 MACHINE=beagleboard ./oebb.sh bitbake virtual/kernel Jul 19 13:27:51 it should be in conf/local.conf within your build dir Jul 19 13:28:44 there is only local.conf.sample Jul 19 13:29:58 there should be conf/local.conf under the directory you ran oebb.sh from Jul 19 13:31:10 t0bi: can you post your full error output (using pastebin) Jul 19 13:32:46 sure, just a moment please, I am cleaning up and doing a fresh run Jul 19 13:54:56 erm, strange Jul 19 13:54:58 works now... Jul 19 13:55:04 thx for your support bluelightning Jul 19 13:55:13 t0bi: no problem Jul 19 13:55:27 t0bi: btw why did you want to run the build as root especially? Jul 19 13:58:36 just tested because it did not work as user...stupid, i know, but i wanted to check if its got something to do with user restrictions Jul 19 14:14:40 t0bi: ok Jul 19 14:15:01 that will never be the case, if it somehow happened to be, it's either broken permissions in setup or a bug Jul 19 15:48:06 angstrom: 03testlab 07yocto * r68ee47db79 10testlab/beagleboard/eglibc/systemd-image/ (4 files): beagleboard: systemd-image configured for angstrom v2011.07-core using branch master and revision 22827cd35935abd894a95f829b66e44140d351e6 Jul 19 18:56:09 hi everyone. I'm trying, for hours, to create a jffs2 image using the online narcissus builder. it does everything well (green check on every task), but at the end, it tells me that something went wrong and that the image was not found. Jul 19 18:57:30 trying to build a h5000, a fairly old ipaq with not really good angstrom support as of the 2007.12 release. but that's fairly old and I'd like to try a newer rootfs. Jul 19 18:57:55 *trying to build a h5000 image, I meant Jul 19 18:58:07 !logs Jul 19 19:02:02 building .tar.gz image works Jul 19 19:07:50 but I have no idea on how to convert tar.gz to jffs2 Jul 19 20:43:54 hi Jul 19 20:44:09 I installed angstrom on my pandaboard Jul 19 20:44:25 everything works fine except of X Jul 19 20:44:48 And I don't know what I have to configure to get it working Jul 19 20:45:01 I edited the bootargs Jul 19 20:45:20 but when execute xinit Jul 19 20:46:23 it says that some modules (dri, dri2, record and glx) couldn't be found and /dev/fb2 either Jul 19 20:46:45 I think that there is something wrong with the driver Jul 19 20:46:56 but don't know what to do Jul 19 20:47:13 does anybody have an idea ? Jul 19 22:23:52 another problem...configured via menuconfig, now this error on bitbake virtual/kernel: http://nopaste.info/86c874ddbf.html Jul 19 22:24:58 since usb_gadget is THE module because of which I tried out the beagle-board and angstrom, this is bad...
