It doesn't look like I can lock the device down like they want with Android but it seems it would be possible with Linux. Can anyone tell me if this sounds reasonable? Does Angstrom completely Jul 27 18:42:29 replace Android? Jul 27 18:51:31 from my point of view angstrom is a fully functional linux Jul 27 18:51:41 so yes, everything you just mentioned is possible with angstrom Jul 27 18:51:47 but also with android, I think Jul 27 20:12:26 in: for that you will have to enlist the help of archos Jul 27 20:12:51 in: as the recovery menu gives you the option to wipe out whatver you installed and install something else Jul 28 00:41:46 dm8tbr: thanks that's what I was thinking. We're trying to see if the client has a checkin phase where we could boot from an SD drive and have it rewrite the internal flash but it might be that we need a firmware tweak from archos. Presumably if we buy enough tablets they'll help (one hopes). Jul 28 00:41:58 And thanks to you too tobi1 for taking the time to answer. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Jul 28 02:59:57 2011
