**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Oct 11 02:59:57 2011 Oct 11 07:28:06 no way to change keyboard-layout ? Oct 11 10:21:30 is there somewhere a special gcc to compile natively on the target ? (gcc.ipk fails) Oct 11 11:09:06 lautriv: you need more than just GCC you also want some -devel packages. Oct 11 11:10:05 lautriv: have a read of http://blogs.distant-earth.com/wp/?p=106, I wrote that for the OpenPandora but it is relevent to 'on device' dev with Angstrom. Oct 11 11:14:05 DJWillis, i'm used to compile kernels and already installed the neccessary thingies like libncurses, make and such but i miss an executane cc1 which can't symlink to cc/gcc Oct 11 11:14:18 *ble Oct 11 11:14:38 lautriv: platform? Angstrom/OE versions? Oct 11 11:15:37 DJWillis, new created angstrom for qemu, uname -r = 3.0.4-yocto-standard+ Oct 11 11:18:56 lautriv: so latest oe-core based Angstrom for QEMU :), did you try a simple hello world, GCC --version, that sort of stuff, start simple etc. Oct 11 11:22:59 yes, gcc -v is verbose and long but it tells me also --build=x86_64-linux Oct 11 11:23:53 That's build, what is host? Oct 11 11:24:23 Well taget. Oct 11 11:28:06 Assuming it was 'built' on an x86-64 machine that is valid, it is the target, i.e. what GCC will generate code for, that matters (well and the fact it is the right binary). Oct 11 11:35:25 host and target is arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi. there is obv. a mistake (also talking in #oe about this) and opkg files gcc | sort gives -->http://paste.pocoo.org/show/490958/ where the last line shows gcc installed but no files :-( Oct 11 20:31:55 angstrom: 03testlab 07yocto * re9b00d435a 10testlab/beaglebone/eglibc/Cloud9-IDE/ (5 files): beaglebone: Cloud9-IDE configured for angstrom v2011.10-core using branch angstrom-staging and revision bba9b0541172d1d598aa7d7045b490d9312505a4 **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Oct 12 02:59:57 2011
