Feb 04 21:30:45 mindw0rk: not looked but anything of use in https://github.com/bluelightning/meta-handheld/? Feb 04 21:31:51 Oh hey, DJWillis, didn't see you were part of the angstrom channel! Feb 04 21:32:33 github timeouts :( Feb 04 21:34:06 mindw0rk: well meta-handheld brings most of the good leftovers from the old iPaq and Zaurus stuff in one place so somewhere to look later. Tied into oe-core but may provide a good lead for a kernel recipe to try. Feb 04 21:34:50 hm, ok thanks. Feb 04 21:35:00 familiar is totally dead... Feb 04 21:38:40 Yep, at least if we can get more machines into oe-core all the distros get the benefit. Feb 04 22:51:31 I have installed angstrom on a beagleboard and I'm booting it for the first time, is it normal to wait ~1h and still going? Feb 04 22:54:54 rr` Feb 04 22:55:13 rraf: nope, the 1st boot is longer but not THAT long. Is your SD good? Feb 04 22:55:38 rraf: what are you seeing output wise, serial etc. Feb 04 22:55:59 should be fine, I'm using serial output and it's still uncompressing Linux Feb 04 22:56:17 the led from the sd card keeps blinking Feb 04 22:56:37 rraf: what, after the uboot screens? Hmmm, if it has not even loaded up the kernel that's broken ;) Feb 04 22:58:05 http://paste.ubuntu.com/829429/ Feb 04 22:59:20 rraf: that's not right at all, my guess would be your SD extract is bad as that should have just worked. Feb 04 23:00:02 ok new sd card tomorrow Feb 04 23:00:47 rraf: just wipe it and start again ;) Feb 04 23:01:57 Could just be a bad extract but to be totally honest I have seen that issue several times. Feb 04 23:03:35 I remember havin issues with large extracts on the freerunner with cheap transcend cards Feb 04 23:03:46 could you give me an estimate for a first time boot Feb 04 23:03:51 on a beagleboard Feb 04 23:06:11 rraf: not really as my images are quite different from a Beagle stock image but lets sat 5-15mins ;) - You will see loads of 'setting up package x' etc. type stuff. And then you get whatever the sample image starts up ;). Feb 04 23:06:45 ah way better than 1h :P Feb 04 23:08:12 rraf: just a tad ;) Feb 04 23:49:45 shouldn't uboot get the kernel image from the fat partition? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Feb 05 02:59:59 2012
