I'm having sometrouble installing the mysql connector/c++ on angstrom. Please let me know whether my thought process is right. So I get a .tar.gz file and extract it using "tar -zxvf". I then get a file containing a "include" and a "lib" folder. I copy them to /usr/include and /usr/lib respectively. When I then try and link the library using "g++ -o xxxxx -lmysqlcppconn", it says Sep 06 12:52:50 that the library file is not recognized? Sep 06 13:17:18 please ? :) Sep 06 13:43:38 sorry, did someone answer my question? Sep 06 13:45:07 I guess no one is that familair with mysql connectros Sep 06 13:45:49 well, i think its kind of a general angstrom question Sep 06 13:45:56 cause its just like any other lib? Sep 06 13:50:27 where do you get the tgz file? Sep 06 13:52:08 http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/cpp/#downloads Sep 06 13:54:47 noth of those are x86, they will not work on arm Sep 06 13:58:52 ARGH Sep 06 13:59:01 so how do I get mysql? Sep 06 14:05:51 they are x86bit libraries? Sep 06 14:06:04 the file is called: mysql-connector-c++-1.1.3-linux-glibc2.3-x86-64bit.tar Sep 06 14:06:24 what does angstrom need? x64? Sep 06 14:55:45 Anyone here ever try combining meta-toolchain with meta-toolchain-qte? I'd like to have a complete sdk that includes the Qt stuff along 'bitbake -c populate_sdk console-image" stuff. Sep 06 14:57:47 Right now I'm having the work from two different sdk environments. angstrom and angstrom-qte. I thought about using diff to create a merge script to combine them... but sort of counter intuative for a "build system" Sep 06 14:58:16 I tried a couple of things from advice in #yocto, but they didn't work. Sep 06 17:14:56 Anyone here using Netbeans to build Qt applications for Angstrom ARM Linux using a Angstrom setup-scripts generated toolchain (meta-toolchain-qte)? That is to compile an Qt application on an X86_64 box for a ARM target? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Sep 07 02:59:59 2013
