However i have updated the proposal. https://elinux.org/BeagleBoard/GSoC/Deepankar Apr 09 05:08:28 I will make sure i am there next week. Apr 09 05:10:25 Since i dont have the beaglebone hardware now, may be i will work on making a schematic on eagle which i can later use and adapt to make a board. Ofcouse i am looking for mentors to guide me in making any changes on my proposal and schematic Apr 09 05:19:42 Also if any mentor have any suggestions what i should work on this week, i welcome that Apr 09 08:48:55 Hey Pac23 . I have examined the fx83-GT and have come to the same conclusion as you. There is no way cannabilsation will work and as such, I will have to reimplement the calculator's feature-set (which should not be too difficult). To make this process easier, I hope to pick a calculator with fewer features that is still mass-market (e.g. the TI-30XB Multiview). That way there is less that requires Apr 09 08:48:55 re-implementing. The timeline has been adjusted to accommodate this and these findings are listed in greater depth under the hardware section here (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1es_dgLEg7kznZgTjKKaFIrcZu9oi8MocS8TZ2-hrZfQ/). My current line of inquiry is how to maintain the same keyboard feel when gutting the calculator. It might be necessary to choose a calculator that doesn't use a rubber-type keyboard Apr 09 08:48:55 as these (to my knowledge) require proper carbon PCBs to interface with. In this regard, one of the HP calculators may be preferable. How does this all sound? Please let me know if you have any feedback. Apr 09 11:52:54 so the TI30x is very similar to the casio fx-82 +- one or two features which anyways are rarely used so yeah this would work.dont worry about he keyboard as long as the keyboard sits flush into the calc housing and from the outside the calc looks and feels the same underneath any kind of keyboard pcb would work Apr 09 11:53:05 its all about the discreetneess of the project Apr 09 11:55:18 any kind of pcb would work to interface with the pocket beagle dont need fancy stuff Apr 09 11:56:00 cc: hydraulicsheep Apr 09 12:01:29 Thanks @pa Apr 09 12:02:30 Thanks Pac23 . Otherwise, how does it sound so far? Any major issues remaining? I will work on figuring out the keyboard (based on that feedback) Apr 09 12:19:14 other than the keyboard i would love to see a schematic of the wiring, how everything will go into what ports etc of the bb how everything will be connection otherwise everything else is fine. Apr 09 13:04:39 Sure. Will do **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri Apr 10 02:59:57 2020
