Apr 28 18:54:33 but all i really use are the serial "profiles" due to too many serial modules/devices... Apr 28 18:59:17 I am a bit afraid we are trying to reinvent putty SSH here. This might be very time consuming. Maybe more than 80% for this project. This time could potentially be better spent developing more features for the beagle-config. More useful configurations options for instance. So maybe the "host" application could be seen more like an extension to this project. What are your feelings about this? I don't want to repeat something already good in its use. Apr 28 19:05:40 Thank you for shading light on it. One more thing is about the shell scripts vs the same using C code ? Should I implement a library for this or instead use existing shell scripts. If I use shell scripts how do I combine it with a single binary with UI frontend? Apr 28 19:06:17 not familiar with putty, but maybe it can be feasible to fork an existing ssh client and add the iptables stuff? Apr 28 19:06:46 * Thank you for shedding light on it. It can be "sh" to run a script, or any other app. For some linux operations, it is sometimes easier to use the shell. From C/C++, you can "easily" send and receive data from any other app. (By sending to their stdin, and reading from their stdout). Apr 28 19:12:18 I have a few projects using FTXUI and also interacting with other app. I should be able to show you. Apr 28 19:13:50 I need to go to dinner. Thanks sataker@ for this conversation. I will be AFK from now. Apr 28 19:14:02 But then again I guess that it becomes redundant i guess, it would have been different if i implemented it from scratch Apr 28 19:14:08 > <@archismandey:matrix.org> not familiar with putty, but maybe it can be feasible to fork an existing ssh client and add the iptables stuff?
