Apr 30 05:43:29 <_sundar_> :) Apr 30 05:43:35 no such thing Apr 30 05:44:33 <_sundar_> mranostay, not yet for you? different time zone huh Apr 30 05:45:16 yeah i'm in the center of the world Apr 30 05:53:43 mranostay: rome? Apr 30 05:58:08 <_av500_> beijing Apr 30 06:24:44 <_sundar_> no, he's just into the core of the planet!, journey to the center of the world :) Apr 30 06:41:36 <_av500_> ah yes, explains all the hot air.... Apr 30 07:14:47 <_tasslehoff_> koen: any idea if ogre should work in oe-classic (2011.03 stable branch). the sgx works fine, but ogre is a bit more .. hesitant. Apr 30 07:20:18 <_sundar_> can the xbmc be run without X11 support in beagle? Apr 30 07:39:11 _tasslehoff_: it used to work, haven't used it in a while Apr 30 08:24:15 <_tasslehoff_> hm. seems to be XOpenDisplay(0) that fails for me. I'll try to compile the beagleboard-demo-image and run from there instead. Apr 30 08:28:00 _tasslehoff_: xhost + Apr 30 08:44:13 <_tasslehoff_> koen: still the same (http://pastebin.com/PzWmRPhq). I'm running X with no display manager, and I wonder if that maybe messes things up. Apr 30 09:08:52 hmm, omap is totally f*. Apr 30 09:09:38 rebase from 3.3 to 3.4 failed because of an am33xx patch Apr 30 09:10:48 ah, no, I accidential was an 3.4-rc4 Apr 30 09:10:58 s/an/on/ Apr 30 09:12:03 sorry for the flame ;) Apr 30 10:16:25 anybody there? Apr 30 10:16:34 Hi Apr 30 10:16:38 hey again Apr 30 10:16:47 Same issue? Apr 30 10:16:57 yea Apr 30 10:17:13 I was starting to think that it might be a hardware issue on the bluetooth board Apr 30 10:17:23 so I plugged in a wifly board Apr 30 10:17:33 but I still can't get any communication to it Apr 30 10:17:42 do you have power going to the bluetooth board? Apr 30 10:17:49 yea Apr 30 10:18:18 the leds are flashing away quite merrily Apr 30 10:21:43 it's also a roving networks device, so I've tried sending the $$$ command to get to command mode Apr 30 10:21:52 varied the baudrate Apr 30 10:22:27 I think we should assume the bluetooth module works as it should Apr 30 10:22:49 So assuming the wiring is ok, we should look at the driver for the com port. Apr 30 10:24:53 that's not yet in my current realm of experience Apr 30 10:25:04 what should I do? Apr 30 10:26:36 I would wire up some leds to the com port, and try writing stuff to it. Apr 30 10:26:46 Just to test that it's actually being used. Apr 30 10:27:43 how to I write directly to the port? Apr 30 10:28:05 screen /dev/ttyS1 9600 Apr 30 10:28:26 then anything you send into the screen screen, will go down the serial port. Apr 30 10:28:38 could I toggle an LED with screen? Apr 30 10:29:03 k Apr 30 10:29:10 screen just opens up the port.. Apr 30 10:29:22 oooh Apr 30 10:29:58 so then I send something down the port and the led will flicker out the message? Apr 30 10:30:15 Yes. Apr 30 10:30:43 (sorry if I sound like an idiot, I've dealt almost exclusively with FPGAs) Apr 30 10:31:38 Don't worry, even when I think I know something, I find there's more to learn./ Apr 30 10:44:12 koen: about that ubi-utils-klibc, I've the r1 almost ready. Now, would it be confusing if I require/include the mtd_utils_.1.4.9_.bb recipe from oe-core in a mangled ubi-utils-klibc_1.4.9.bbappend? The prolem would come once oe-core updates the recipe. As it is now is 'monolithic', independent of oe-core. Suggestions? Apr 30 10:47:12 uups... s/bbappend/bb/ Apr 30 10:49:10 hi all, if you want to try developing for a beagle board, but don't have the kit yet, is there a VM you can work wit? Apr 30 10:50:15 i.e. to develop against a emulated version until it arrives, or if you don't have physical access to one? Apr 30 10:51:00 linaros qemu packages provide support for a beagle vm (which are easy to use on an ubuntu host, not sure if other qemu versions provide that too) Apr 30 10:56:25 hmmm… looks like there isn't an easy way for OS X / Virtualbox Apr 30 11:05:02 <_cjp> Hi. Anyone have any USB UVC experience? Apr 30 11:05:05 <_cjp> on BB? Apr 30 11:19:59 still there niro? Apr 30 11:20:41 Yes, any luck? Apr 30 11:20:45 yea Apr 30 11:20:50 feel like an idiot Apr 30 11:21:01 I'd done the muxing, but reset the board Apr 30 11:21:13 and thought that it saved it's mux Apr 30 11:21:14 did it show up with the leds? Apr 30 11:21:47 didn't have any leds handy, so I was going through all the steps again Apr 30 11:22:04 but I was able to get the command line and get info over the uart Apr 30 11:23:41 so it's working now? Apr 30 11:23:42 can you change the omap mux settings default value? so every boot up it goes straight to the uart? Apr 30 11:23:44 yea Apr 30 11:23:51 wifly is working Apr 30 11:23:59 good morning. Apr 30 11:24:05 guten morgen Apr 30 11:25:51 ant_work: I'd avoid hard dependencies, especially with Eric and me keeping master and denzil in sync Apr 30 11:27:46 430a here, I think I'm going to catch some sleep Apr 30 11:27:52 thanks a million niro Apr 30 11:27:57 np Apr 30 11:28:17 not sure how you'd save it. Apr 30 11:45:39 * koen has no idea what 'openembedded-release-2011.3' is Apr 30 11:45:50 * koen is fairly sure it's unsupported by angstrom Apr 30 11:46:13 goldpeer: why aren't you following http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom ? Apr 30 11:49:54 hi Apr 30 11:50:03 is there any one free Apr 30 11:50:10 ? Apr 30 11:50:55 all booked Apr 30 11:51:12 pull a number at the counter please Apr 30 11:52:16 if you're dutch you can skip the queue Apr 30 11:52:37 (and get escorted of the premisis as a result of that) Apr 30 11:53:07 * Crofton|work wonders if this has happened to koen Apr 30 11:54:29 i created an angstrom distro with gcc and opencv as suggested by community, it gets stuck while booting Apr 30 11:54:41 koen: I did follow http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom and i also built a version Angstrom v2012.05 (Core edition) Built from branch: denzil Revision: 5433da972f2994f7176597d89499ccb65f876f88 Apr 30 11:54:46 but the x-windows is broken. Apr 30 11:55:21 there is failed to load module "dri", dri2 and for omapfb(0): failed to open /dev/fb2 Apr 30 11:55:53 pradeep, where does it get stuck? Apr 30 11:56:05 i think somewhere needs to be modified. It would be at openembedd-core/meta/recipes-graphics/xorg-xserver Apr 30 11:57:29 however, I did try to open compile options at xserver-xorg-common.inc about --disable-record to --enable-record Apr 30 11:57:44 etc.. it was not included in rootfs. Apr 30 11:57:59 any clue to make x-windows work? thanks Apr 30 11:58:36 pradeep: it is normal. it will take about an hour to continue the first boot Apr 30 11:58:58 i would find where this booting process takes so long. Apr 30 11:59:48 it seems to me that font's configuration, some plug/play detections were freezing at boot? Apr 30 12:01:01 first boot is taking a long time mostly due to gtk-icon-cache Apr 30 12:01:57 it makes sense why we can't initalize gtk-icon-cache at rootfs, skip this long waiting time? Apr 30 12:02:01 it says something like running fast wait for 5 min again again Apr 30 12:03:31 mine was stopped after "recreate journal file ..." Apr 30 12:06:41 what do you mean with 'x-windows is broken'? Apr 30 12:08:21 gnome desktop is not started Apr 30 12:09:10 I can only run to console by systemd-gnome-image but I haven't got gnome desktop Apr 30 12:10:45 goldpeer: what does 'journalctl --no-pager _SYSTEMD_UNIT=gdm.service' say? Apr 30 12:11:42 it said empty Apr 30 12:12:14 let me try it again may be typo Apr 30 12:13:03 It didn't give me any information output Apr 30 12:15:10 It gets stuck with following error: No SGX hardware, not starting PVR Error, do this: mount -t proc none /proc cupsd: Cannot run as a setuid program! cups: unable to start scheduler. User button not pressed, not flashing NAND Apr 30 12:18:34 from journalctl I could see S98run-postinsts takes an hour to update MIME database Apr 30 12:18:44 can we just remove this update? Apr 30 12:19:00 goldpeer: no Apr 30 12:19:39 do this process take too long. any alternative solution to deal with MIME database update. Apr 30 12:22:53 can u suggest me in all what i need to select on narcissus? Apr 30 12:25:17 * koen wonders why software people seem to think that an checkbox will magically add hardware Apr 30 12:26:08 koen: I rebooted, there was still no X11. i think I did add Networkmanager into systemd-gnome-image Apr 30 12:26:19 was it impact on X11? Apr 30 12:44:40 Initially, I created one distro. with Opencv, i was not able to compile opencv codes as gcc was not there Apr 30 12:45:23 some one of u suggested to create with GDB and tool chain, this time it is getting stuck while booting Apr 30 13:02:58 pradeep: beagleboard booting is not related to opencv. so the problem is your image was not bootable. Apr 30 13:14:27 you could always use 'opkg install task-native-sdk' to install gcc on the copy you had booting with opencv support Apr 30 13:14:53 * mdp goes wild over the adafruit "new product video"…..a ps2 connector!!!!!!!!!! Apr 30 14:23:12 Russ, PS/2 is considered a core topic here :) Apr 30 14:23:21 highly desirable..not unlike OpenCV Apr 30 14:26:57 hi using beagleboard xm ubuntu with latest kernel 3.2.16-x10 Apr 30 14:27:06 anyone got the usb mass storage to work? Apr 30 14:27:17 g_mass_sotrage Apr 30 14:32:09 I have a problem with USB OTG. Apr 30 14:49:59 i found if you modify /etc/rcS.d/S98run-postinsts to opkg-cl --configure &, the beagleboard can boot without delay Apr 30 14:50:13 normally, broadcast and network haven't to be precised. They are deduced from the IP adress and the netmask Apr 30 14:57:40 any help with USB mass storage? Apr 30 15:04:26 koen: the pixel-qi kits will be in stock tomorrow Apr 30 15:04:34 koen: the regular kits are in stock now Apr 30 15:16:14 Is anyone know which module must be loaded to support ethernet port of the beagleboard xM? Apr 30 15:34:23 there's systemd if that's what you mean Apr 30 15:34:29 heh Apr 30 15:34:40 if you want you can install sysvinit or upstart, but you're on your own for that Apr 30 15:34:51 there's nothing sysvinit-like about systemd Apr 30 15:35:52 I guess it works diferrently compared to initd? no /etc/init.d/samba start? Apr 30 15:37:48 there's nothing unix-like about systemd Apr 30 15:40:54 I have a question about the beaglebone bonescript demo blinkled.js. It made my test led blink (along with USR3). So I added another on cpio1_2 (p8_5 in index.js). The modified script is here: http://pastebin.com/qyCSnMgK Apr 30 15:41:33 I can't get another pin to make a second led blink though. I tried other cpio1 pins as well. Apr 30 15:45:59 hmm, bitbang cpio over gpio... Apr 30 15:53:27 Is w1_bus_master1 necessary on the beaglebone? Apr 30 16:02:53 no Apr 30 16:02:58 that is what gets shipped Apr 30 16:03:31 ok, thx Apr 30 16:03:32 you can do a regular build from the angstrom page, which gets you oe-core + layers Apr 30 16:03:44 but that is what I would call experimental :) Apr 30 16:03:53 but have you use your kernel for the e100 hw? Apr 30 16:04:01 pretty much Apr 30 16:04:04 it has the driver Apr 30 16:04:14 I have heard of people forward protting the driver Apr 30 16:04:24 if you have specific needs, let me know Apr 30 16:05:18 * koen protts Crofton|work Apr 30 16:05:42 koen, is linux-mainline-3.2.16-r119a the next branch to move to if I used to follow your linux-ti33x-psp-3.2-r* branches? Apr 30 16:44:29 (I just want to read from device and trash the data) Apr 30 16:45:14 you can set the dma to write everything to the same address Apr 30 16:46:04 mru, The address being virt_to_bus(&some_garbage_variable); Apr 30 16:46:08 ? Apr 30 16:46:51 yes Apr 30 16:47:26 Thanks, I wasn't sure if that was safe since ldd3 advises aginst it Apr 30 16:47:45 then maybe it's not safe Apr 30 16:48:05 if not, looping over a slightly larger block should be fine Apr 30 16:48:10 might be better actually Apr 30 16:48:13 Well they just say virt-to-bus only works on machine with very simple io architecture Apr 30 16:48:22 oh, that part Apr 30 16:50:09 In this case it is probably safe since no bouncer buffer or anything of the sort must be configured Apr 30 16:51:40 probably easiest to try and see Apr 30 17:25:38 yup, it is deprecated Apr 30 17:28:41 I guess I'll dma_alloc_coherent even though it seems like overkill at this point Apr 30 17:31:03 <_av500_> or dma to sram Apr 30 17:51:26 Hi... Newbie here :) I finally managed to boot my C4, got the desktop on monitor, but can't make any USB to work... (both Angstrom & Ubuntu) Anybody can help? Apr 30 17:53:50 are you using an external hub? Apr 30 17:59:24 just a sec.. checking Apr 30 18:03:16 yes. Hub is working on my laptop Apr 30 18:05:52 does the hub work with a mouse on the beagle? Apr 30 18:06:31 no it doesnt Apr 30 18:06:42 Now I tried to connect a memory stick Apr 30 18:06:55 it gave many logs on the terminal Apr 30 18:07:04 dmesg | tail has: Apr 30 18:07:18 [ 30.175415] end_request: I/O error, dev mtdblock1, sector 208 Apr 30 18:07:23 and many of them Apr 30 18:07:46 hmm, what kernel are you using? Apr 30 18:08:51 this one is 2.6.32.. Read about some USB in this kernel but the other Angstrom was a different kernel Apr 30 18:09:10 2.6.32 should work fine with a C4 Apr 30 18:10:28 the problem with that kernel and USB would be an xM rev C Apr 30 18:10:39 Ah ok... Apr 30 18:10:48 but it recognises the USB stick Apr 30 18:10:53 [ 155.833038] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk Apr 30 18:10:57 and then... Apr 30 18:11:12 [ 155.833038] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI removable disk Apr 30 18:11:24 [ 155.994598] end_request: I/O error, dev mtdblock1, sector 248 Apr 30 18:12:23 also read about a power noise problem.. Adding a small capacitor on the 1.8 powerline was adv,sed.. Maybe should try that? Apr 30 18:17:26 on the C4? Apr 30 18:17:37 I think it already has that added Apr 30 18:17:45 Not sure if it was C4.... Apr 30 18:17:59 was it.. hmm.. Apr 30 18:18:32 not 100%.. but I've used the C4 without having any problem with an external hub Apr 30 18:19:09 I see.. Maybe I have something with my board :( Apr 30 18:19:49 Thanx anyway thurbad.... Apr 30 18:20:06 might try another hub as well Apr 30 18:20:40 Didn't know ı couldnt connect a mouse directly... Useful info for me :) Apr 30 18:20:49 I'll try another hub tomorrow Apr 30 18:21:03 you can with the xM.. just not on the classic beagleboard Apr 30 18:24:14 Hey!!! The USB stick is working!!! could mount it and see whats inside !!! Apr 30 18:34:04 cool deal Apr 30 18:37:16 Thank you very much thurbad.... Managed to play some mp3's from stick... Best songs I've heard a long time :) Will try with another hub tomorrow....Have a great day.... Apr 30 19:02:43 new barmaid tonight Apr 30 19:04:26 hello Apr 30 19:06:41 world Apr 30 19:10:24 hoho.. Apr 30 19:19:35 there used to be a mt gay xo too, don't know what happened to it Apr 30 19:20:12 mru: tell us more about the new barmaid :) Apr 30 19:20:14 the regular mt gay is still there Apr 30 19:20:47 mru: pictures are worth a many a word ;) Apr 30 19:20:53 djlewis: tall, blonde, good-looking Apr 30 19:21:23 ok, how many votes for a picture of said barmaid from mru? Apr 30 19:22:05 hm, i need to smack a module like this: http://www.marvell.com/wireless/assets/marvell_avastar_88w8797.pdf to the beagleboard, wonder how fucked i am Apr 30 19:22:33 mt gay? do i even want to know? Apr 30 19:22:53 what to know? Apr 30 19:23:05 marvell... try "royally fucked" Apr 30 19:23:34 mranostay: it's rum from barbados Apr 30 19:24:02 do know what you guys are talking about? Apr 30 19:24:31 Mt Gay is good. Apr 30 19:24:32 head: beagles and rum Apr 30 19:24:46 and barmaids Apr 30 19:25:03 HMS Beagle? Apr 30 19:25:07 mranostay, it's not a brokeback mtn type film Apr 30 19:25:11 * mru is at the pub Apr 30 19:25:13 mru: doesnt have to be marvell, i just need wifi on it Apr 30 19:25:30 mru: why are you on irc? :) Apr 30 19:25:42 and i dont think a usb dongle will do, needs to handle 60 connected clients (not much data though) Apr 30 19:26:03 mranostay: to taunt you lot with talk of barmaids Apr 30 19:26:21 you know for a monday this one hasn't been so bad so far Apr 30 19:27:05 sabesto, doesn't support that chip exactly, but maybe this: /drivers/net/wireless/mwl8k.c Apr 30 19:27:16 have something you can use from Marvel? Apr 30 19:27:29 * mru spent most of the day on planes and related places Apr 30 19:27:40 that explains the pup Apr 30 19:27:46 pubv Apr 30 19:27:52 nevermind Apr 30 19:30:08 bradfa: dont have access to those files right now Apr 30 19:30:12 in linux kernel Apr 30 19:31:22 https://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git;a=blob_plain;f=drivers/net/wireless/mwl8k.c;hb=HEAD Apr 30 19:32:55 hmm Apr 30 19:33:09 I'm not familiar with it, just did a grep and that came up Apr 30 19:33:59 mru: where are you? Apr 30 19:34:11 building something similar to this: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/08/marvells-classroom-3-0-initative-armada-smile-plug-computer-ces-2012/ Apr 30 19:34:17 mranostay: the pub Apr 30 19:34:52 since its so hard to know how many clients a wifi chipset reliably works with i took the chipset they use as a starting point Apr 30 19:34:54 see g+ Apr 30 19:35:59 sabesto, That's a neat product idea Apr 30 19:37:08 uni i attend had developed their own software for student response stuff Apr 30 19:37:13 *has Apr 30 19:37:29 and they want me to build a portable device for it Apr 30 19:38:49 http://www.lsr.com/products/radio_modules/802.11/tiwi-r2.aspx Apr 30 19:38:59 sabesto, that's on the Panda, should work well I'd think Apr 30 19:39:05 not sure of exact capabilities though Apr 30 19:40:02 problem is the host interface i guess Apr 30 19:40:41 i was hoping i could do without messing with making a new beagleboard for starters Apr 30 19:40:51 it won't work as cape? Apr 30 19:40:58 for bone? Apr 30 19:42:54 xM should have pins on expansion header avail Apr 30 19:42:59 making a new beaglebone? Apr 30 19:43:09 perhaps Apr 30 19:43:15 not sure about orig beagle Apr 30 19:43:23 how many layers is the xM or bone? Apr 30 19:43:28 bone is 6 Apr 30 19:43:33 crane is 4 Apr 30 19:43:41 xM, I dunno, guess is 8? Apr 30 19:43:45 eww Apr 30 19:43:55 and the PoP soldering Apr 30 19:44:04 if you're spinning a board, look at the crane or bone, easier bga package Apr 30 19:44:10 rasberry pi is PoP too Apr 30 19:44:26 but Rpi is dirt cheap (provided you can get one), so that's something... Apr 30 19:44:43 I wouldn't want to deal with Broadcomm though Apr 30 19:44:47 yeah, thats the problem, we dont know if it can handle the software reliably Apr 30 19:44:49 especially for lower volumes Apr 30 19:44:55 rpi may be pop, but the beagle ROCKS Apr 30 19:45:06 hehee Apr 30 19:45:07 rpi is a pos :) Apr 30 19:45:17 and this project has to start up in 1 month Apr 30 19:45:18 like most pop Apr 30 19:45:34 and done within 2 Apr 30 19:45:45 sabesto, I'd suggest going with xM then, if the expansion connector can get your peripherals (or USB can) Apr 30 19:45:58 yeah, that was my plan Apr 30 19:46:03 you can use WUSB600n as wifi Apr 30 19:46:12 it works perfectly woth xM Apr 30 19:46:21 it has to run apache tomcat (java) so it needs the RAM Apr 30 19:46:38 xM has RAM! Apr 30 19:46:39 head: but can it handle 60 clients? :P Apr 30 19:47:01 sabesto, I think that all depends on how well you can program java :) Apr 30 19:47:18 what do you mean 60 clients? Apr 30 19:47:31 do you mean to provide web access for 60 clients? Apr 30 19:47:33 ah, wifi, not webserver, got it Apr 30 19:47:37 60 is a small number Apr 30 19:47:46 its basicly a base station with server for 60 clients (not connected to the internet) Apr 30 19:47:52 wifi is ok for 60 clients Apr 30 19:47:52 barely more than 54 Apr 30 19:48:03 like ipods/cellphones/laptops Apr 30 19:48:15 minimal traffic Apr 30 19:48:15 this wifi card has 802.11n, so the maximum bandwidth is 360Mbps Apr 30 19:48:26 why not have wifi access point connect to beagle via Ethernet? Apr 30 19:48:40 then buy good wifi access point, no drivers Apr 30 19:48:44 bradfa: it needs to be as small as possible Apr 30 19:48:48 if you take one xM as a AP, it can provide sufficient bandwidth for it. Apr 30 19:49:00 the prototype uses a wifi AP Apr 30 19:49:30 sabesto, buy a Panda, try out that wifi, it's soldered down on the board. Or buy a handful of USB wifis and try them out. Shouldn't take too long Apr 30 19:49:37 you can use similar size of wifi 802.11n dongle Apr 30 19:49:50 but I think WUSB600n is very nice. Apr 30 19:50:36 http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47833678/pele.jpg Apr 30 19:51:07 thats a proper prototype :P Apr 30 19:51:41 head, but is WUSB600n still made by Linksys? Apr 30 19:51:51 doesn't show on Linksys website as active part anymore Apr 30 19:53:02 i don't know but you can buy it on the market Apr 30 19:53:53 http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-eu/support/adapters/WUSB600N Apr 30 19:53:57 do you see this? Apr 30 19:56:10 anyone form TI here at the moment? Apr 30 19:56:27 hm Apr 30 19:56:30 head, I do! :) wonder why it wasn't showing up before for me... Apr 30 19:56:48 well, thanks for all the tips! Apr 30 19:56:53 enjoy :) Apr 30 19:58:35 i'll enjoy taking the step from 2 layers and TQFP100 to 8 layers and PoP BGA Apr 30 19:58:43 errordeveloper: there's always a bunch of TIers camping here…there's got to be a real question. Apr 30 20:23:45 I'm trying to figure what's the status of PTPv2/IEEE1588 on Sitara (sepcifically beaglebone) Apr 30 20:23:55 I'd like to use it with Linux Apr 30 20:24:29 there are bits of information scattered around, ... but it's quite uncertain Apr 30 20:25:08 seems like I have another piece of hardware that supports this technology, but it's not quite usable yet! Apr 30 20:25:23 can anyone clarify on this? Apr 30 21:37:50 * djlewis wonders if mru is still visiting with the barmaid Apr 30 22:15:18 djlewis: I'm home now Apr 30 22:16:01 well, a man needs a rest period ;) Apr 30 22:23:57 djlewis: well, after a weekend abroad, a few pints to restore one's mental state seems fair Apr 30 22:24:55 :) Apr 30 22:27:21 mru: did you arrive home to notice of the MoD installing missles on your roof? Apr 30 22:28:04 ds2: I don't live in london Apr 30 22:28:29 and I intend to stay as far away from the bloody olympics as practically possible Apr 30 22:28:43 and economically Apr 30 22:28:45 the map on BBC seems to suggest they are placing it pretty far away Apr 30 22:28:54 how much is a plane ticket to new zealand? Apr 30 22:29:25 probally cheaper then your sanity Apr 30 22:29:41 are you sure? Apr 30 22:30:06 yep Apr 30 22:30:16 might be cargo class though ;) Apr 30 22:54:29 ds2: as long as it's not cargo cult... Apr 30 22:57:56 mru: depends on the cult :) May 01 02:49:37 Hi. I'm running Ubuntu (Robert Nelson's demo image) on my BeagleBone. I'm trying to write an opencv app that uses a webcam. However, when I call cvCreateCameraCapture, it returns NULL. I hear that there is an issue with the BeagleBone's DMA and that this issue can be fixed by setting CONFIGURE_MUSB_PIO_ONLY=y in the kernel. Can someone point me to directions on how to rebuild the kernel with that option (preferably cross compile **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue May 01 03:00:01 2012
