**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Oct 06 03:00:02 2012 Oct 06 03:04:38 the feed is where the opkg packages come from Oct 06 03:11:07 Hmmmm Oct 06 03:11:22 use the source Oct 06 03:14:44 is there a repository for the code that gets put into the opkg packages? Oct 06 03:15:49 of course Oct 06 03:15:59 any idea where that is? Oct 06 03:16:02 this is not the age of spontenous code generation Oct 06 03:16:11 depends on the package Oct 06 03:16:16 hahah, i know. i can only assume it's under version control. Oct 06 03:16:40 i assume it depends on the packag...is there some way for me to track it down Oct 06 03:16:47 ? Oct 06 03:16:50 yep Oct 06 03:19:33 and, how would one do that? Oct 06 03:19:45 hahah, i'd hate to ask a complicated question in here! Oct 06 03:20:26 I'm looking at http://feeds.angstrom-distribution.org/feeds/core/ipk/eglibc/armv7a/machine/beaglebone/ and I don't see anything related to where the code came from. Oct 06 03:20:34 i'm guessing what i'm asking isn't actually stored in the feed anywhere. Oct 06 03:21:07 or, at least not in that directory. Oct 06 03:21:38 have you read www.angstrong-distribution.org? Oct 06 03:21:46 www.angstrom-distribution.org Oct 06 03:22:05 ds2, you're as helpful as herpies. Oct 06 03:22:30 just answering what is asked. Oct 06 03:22:48 that has to go on 26 + 26 Oct 06 03:23:02 nah Oct 06 03:24:12 you're replying to sentences, not answering the question. Oct 06 03:27:37 ok, using the package search on angstrom-distribution.org, I see nothing about where the source actually came from for any of the packages i've looked at. Oct 06 03:29:03 http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/building-angstrom Oct 06 03:29:17 * mranostay pops open beer and watchs Oct 06 03:30:26 mranostay: no popcorn or pretzels? Oct 06 03:30:39 i've built a kernal, all nice and working...but i don't see how that's related to the source that opkg grabs Oct 06 03:31:10 ds2: pasta does that count? Oct 06 03:31:49 mranostay: wouldn't you look like a beer drinking baby that just finished pasta with all the sauce all over you? Oct 06 03:31:58 or, do you just have to "know" that the opkg packages were built with the same that setup-scripts gives you? Oct 06 03:32:13 is this information somewhere in the opkg feed? Oct 06 03:32:49 yes Oct 06 03:33:28 either you didn't answer one of the questions, or you decided to put both answers into one response...care to say which it is? Oct 06 03:34:26 no. Oct 06 03:35:08 hahah, i'm assuming i've reached the limit of your knowledge. Oct 06 03:35:24 or you're just trolling. Oct 06 03:35:37 but i doubt that. Oct 06 04:01:16 thanks for the noise ds2 Oct 06 07:15:40 <_av500_> lol Oct 06 10:01:01 koen, is it raining? Oct 06 10:06:54 crofton in netherlands its always raining Oct 06 10:57:01 Crofton|work: it just cleared up, so I can continue with grading and laying in the grass rolls Oct 06 11:00:35 what are you doing Oct 06 11:00:52 my friend who just moved to the Netherlans is complaing about the rain on facebook Oct 06 11:03:17 Crofton|work: right now I'm taking a break from gardening :) Oct 06 11:03:59 gardening does not seem like your thing Oct 06 11:05:27 my back agrees with you Oct 06 11:05:34 but I actually love gardening Oct 06 11:05:47 especially after not having one for a decade :) Oct 06 11:05:53 Crofton|work: check g+ for a pic Oct 06 11:08:16 just saw it Oct 06 11:08:28 very nice Oct 06 11:08:31 thanks Oct 06 11:08:48 side is nearly finished, front will be done today Oct 06 11:08:55 (corner house) Oct 06 11:22:23 Hi guys, I'm trying to create a new bealgebone image on an other partition (Partiton B). I've already done this on partion A, but I want to have the kernel sources so I've tried to run it witouth the rm_work command. Which resulted in to a not enough space warnings. So I've moved everything to another drive but can't seem to run it. It has some hardcoded paths which point to partiton A instead of partion B. Does anyone have an idea how Oct 06 11:22:24 to change this? Oct 06 11:22:24 This is done with OpenEmbedded. Oct 06 11:22:24 Thanks in advance. Oct 06 11:28:34 I don't think you can move a work directory and easily update paths, without starting the build over Oct 06 11:28:57 flitjes: the beaglebone srm links to the kernel workflow doc Oct 06 11:29:02 flitjes: as does the angstrom website Oct 06 11:33:30 I've tried to do everything over again. But I get a fatal error from gawk which is looking for the file inside the Partition A directory Oct 06 13:35:54 gm all Oct 06 14:19:22 is anyone here ? Oct 06 14:19:30 http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html Oct 06 14:20:15 does any one know how to make led blink in IAR IDE? Oct 06 15:00:26 <_av500_> koen: fun garden Oct 06 15:00:37 <_av500_> what are you planting? concrete flowers? Oct 06 15:00:48 <_av500_> or abstract ones? Oct 06 15:14:42 surely 3d printed flowers :-D Oct 06 15:16:27 I see a lot of sand. Oct 06 15:27:40 <_av500_> emeb_mac: its the netherland, there is only sand and negative sea Oct 06 15:33:47 hehe Oct 06 15:38:18 and rain Oct 06 15:43:58 _av500_: I can remember the sand from my granparent's farm not far from there. Oct 06 15:45:51 "My lawyer and I are just about done going over the Terms and Conditions for Windows 95. Can't wait to start using it." Oct 06 16:05:37 av500: when .nl floods I'll be close to the beach, on the dry side :) Oct 06 17:18:29 <_av500_> koen: ou bought land above sea level? Oct 06 17:52:22 hello everybody Oct 06 17:53:35 Does someone know if the clockout2 on the Expansion header is enabled by default or do I have to set some registers? Unfortunately I don't have an oscilloscope to see what is sent out Oct 06 17:53:51 eventually what is the frequency of the clockout2 Oct 06 17:53:53 ? Oct 06 17:55:42 I'm sorry I'm refer to the BeagleBone Oct 06 18:16:24 <_av500_> its probably not clockout2 by default Oct 06 18:17:15 <_av500_> ah no Oct 06 18:17:42 <_av500_> SRM says clkout2 is the default setting on power up Oct 06 18:17:50 <_av500_> but question is what does the SW do Oct 06 18:17:52 <_av500_> koen: ? Oct 06 18:32:43 morning Oct 06 18:34:15 I would try to control the OV7670 Cmos camera Oct 06 18:34:23 but it need an external clock Oct 06 18:34:37 so I was thinking to use the clockout2 Oct 06 18:36:13 so, do you know the frequency of the clockout2 by default? Is it 25Mhz? Oct 06 18:39:26 So, do you know the default frequency of the clockout2? Oct 06 19:00:24 _av500_: clkout2 is disabled by default in 3.2 Oct 06 19:00:47 _av500_: and yes, my house is above sea level, but rented Oct 06 19:01:54 <_av500_> Alessandro_: by default its disabled Oct 06 19:02:11 <_av500_> as for the frequency, read the TRM Oct 06 19:15:14 it is 25mhz by default iirc Oct 06 19:34:03 sorry, what does it mean TRM= Oct 06 19:34:06 ? Oct 06 19:36:24 Technical Reference Manual Oct 06 19:36:51 ah ok, thanks Oct 06 19:37:02 actually I've already the datasheet of the processor Oct 06 19:37:13 but i didn't understood well the meaning Oct 06 19:37:24 i will read more accurately Oct 06 19:37:26 thank Oct 06 19:37:31 bye Oct 07 02:44:38 hi koen-ster **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Oct 07 02:59:58 2012
