**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Jul 11 02:59:59 2015 Jul 11 06:17:10 hi all. Had anybody made experiences with writing double into a logfile with ofstream in C++ on the BBB? My code works fine on my ubuntu maschine, but when I run it on the BBB, the output of e.g. 100/2.0 is always 0 - I tried several castings but without success. Also I have figured out, that cout prints only zeros, but print(%f, value) does the trick and writes the correct number to console. is there a trick?? Jul 11 10:13:16 hello all Jul 11 10:13:46 my beagle bone black doent support multiple usb Jul 11 10:13:53 why?? Jul 11 10:14:09 what are you doing? Jul 11 10:16:27 currently trying to connect usb mouse and keyboard tougher Jul 11 10:17:02 that should work Jul 11 10:17:25 but in my case it is not Jul 11 10:17:29 you might have issues if the hub is usb1.1 Jul 11 10:17:52 what is the solution for that? Jul 11 10:18:03 buy a usb2.0 or usb3.0 hub Jul 11 10:18:41 but i think my hub is usb 2.0 Jul 11 10:19:20 does lsusb show the hub? Jul 11 10:20:30 how can i know it is show or not? Jul 11 10:20:39 where can i find? Jul 11 10:21:38 by running "lsusb" on the BBB and looking for a line that doesn't contain "Linux Foundation xxx root hub" Jul 11 10:22:29 ok yhank you Jul 11 10:22:48 thank you Jul 11 11:59:47 gday all. I was wondering if anyone was able to help me with my BBB? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information on the net Jul 11 12:00:47 I've accidentally broken the uboot config files and don't have a backup. I'm currently downloading the normal bone-debian image and I'm wondering if the BBB will just boot off that even with broken uboot on the emmc ? Jul 11 12:08:05 oh I need to upgrade uboot and xloader ranyway Jul 11 12:08:08 so I'll do that :) Jul 11 12:24:19 ok im lost and have no idea what im doing lol Jul 11 12:25:02 if you create a uSD card image, BBB will boot fine off that Jul 11 12:44:15 seems to be booting :) Jul 11 12:53:42 with a 'flasher' image you can restore the emmc Jul 11 13:41:46 veremit: cheers. I ended up wiping the emmc boot section so it always boots of SD card. That's much easier for me to deal with at the moment since I don't use it often and will make it easier to keep up to date Jul 11 14:34:17 hello Jul 11 16:20:09 having some difficulties with a LSM303DLH via i2c... i can read/write to it, but it seems to be in sleep-mode and the sensor values dont change... any ideas? Jul 11 18:06:12 Hello everyone. Greenhorn here with a Beaglebone Black. I've downloaded the bone-debian img file, uncompressed with 7-zip, downloaded imgwriter and trying to write the image to my BBB and I am getting "Not enough space". I am assuming I am to plug in some USB flash drive into this? Jul 11 18:07:17 It shows to currently have 97 MB free, so not sure what I need to do to write this img. Jul 11 18:11:41 How are you trying to write it to the bone? Jul 11 18:11:51 Is your microSD card not as big as the image? Jul 11 18:12:10 I have the bone connected via usb to my laptop. ibmwriter has that drive selected. Jul 11 18:13:05 The instructions that come in the start.htm file has an image of what the imgwriter should look like. I have all of that exactly. Jul 11 18:13:25 obviously with the appropriate drive selected for the bone Jul 11 18:14:02 I have never used that program. Jul 11 18:14:18 Ijust boot from a microSD card, or use a flasher image on one. Jul 11 18:14:50 Ok. I am assuming I need to create an image on a usb flash drive and boot to that. Jul 11 18:15:04 There doesn't appear to be enough on board storage to write the image. Jul 11 18:15:15 or I'm doing something wrong. Jul 11 18:15:19 Do you have a Rev C bone? Jul 11 18:15:28 Otherwise, there is only 2GB eMMC Jul 11 18:16:03 duh! Jul 11 18:16:21 I didn't see the underneath side where the microSD card is. Jul 11 18:16:27 I'm such a dumb ass! Jul 11 18:16:38 To the store for a microSD card. Jul 11 18:16:49 agmlego, thank you for responding and trying to help. Jul 11 18:16:55 No9 worries. **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Jul 11 18:59:35 2015 Jul 11 19:18:02 seem to have a dead beagleboard - power light blinks once whenever i push the power button.
