**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Mar 30 02:59:58 2016 Mar 30 06:28:08 I have a problem with my BBB. when I boot it using eMMC in only the power led lights up and none of the usr leds do anything. I can boot it with microSd card and it seems to work as expected. I have tried flashing the emmc multiple times but the result is always the same. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or have any tips how to solve the issue? Mar 30 07:03:41 risro: does the flasher seem to succeed (all lights on) or fail (all lights flashing simultaneously) Mar 30 07:13:16 zmatt, all lights are on after the flashing and as far as I can tell it has written the image to the emmc. right now I've booted with microSd card and can see /media/debian/angstrom folder which I assume is the flashed image on the emmc. there's also a folder called "unnamed drive (/dev/mmcblk1boot1)" which I cannot access Mar 30 07:16:45 I have a feeling that the emmc is working, but BBB is just not bootin from it for some reason. Mar 30 07:26:51 could the boot partition of the emmc be corrupted or is it also rewritten when flashing? Mar 30 07:29:28 risro: There are 2 images : one standalone SDcard and another for flashing emmc. Did you choose the right one ? Mar 30 07:33:01 I have tried multiple images, but BBB-eMMC-flasher-2013.09.04.img.xz was atleast one of them Mar 30 07:35:26 also the Debian 8.3 image from beagleboard.org with the "To turn these images into eMMC flasher images, edit the /boot/uEnv.txt" insturctions Mar 30 07:38:21 risro : ok, If you think your emmc's beaglebone black is fine you can try with those image http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack_Debian#Jessie_Snapshot_lxqt Mar 30 07:38:35 worked for me this weekend Mar 30 07:39:25 I've tried both standalone to test and then the emmc-flasher Mar 30 07:39:47 thanks. I don't think I've tried that one yet so I'll give it a shot Mar 30 07:40:59 ok, BBB-eMMC-flasher-2013.09.04.img.xz is a bit old Mar 30 07:41:16 Make sure to check the Rev of the bbb Mar 30 08:33:48 Still the same result unfortunately. After flashing I booted the BBB and only pwr led is on. Log from the flash if anyone wants to take a look: http://pastebin.com/5KZsNdWm Mar 30 13:29:57 Hi, question about cross-compiling: what tools do you use to cross-compile from windows PC ?
