**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Aug 08 02:59:59 2014 Aug 08 03:01:37 It looks good, I’m just reviewing the changes Aug 08 03:02:29 Sure thing :) Aug 08 03:02:57 Note, I changed your "Header" and "Footer" kinds to controls just so that they didn't throw JS errors Aug 08 03:03:04 since those kinds weren't defined in the jsbin Aug 08 03:03:40 and the enyo.ready part was just added to display the app Aug 08 03:08:09 Okay, so it looks like you just rearranged the “this.datasource…” bit and corrected some of the naming inconsistancies. And you added a second component for the age under the FittableRows kind. Aug 08 03:09:08 actually, I didn't even touch the dataSource Aug 08 03:09:21 I just added components to the itemTitle component Aug 08 03:09:30 and made it a FittableRows Aug 08 03:09:44 and edited the code in setupItem to work w/ it Aug 08 03:11:53 Alright, well thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. Aug 08 03:12:04 yw Aug 08 03:12:06 btw Aug 08 03:12:14 you might also want to look at enyo.DataList Aug 08 03:12:33 It streamlines the List-making process to make it much easier Aug 08 03:12:42 they have example code for it in the 2.4 sampler Aug 08 03:13:12 Okay, will do. I haven’t looked at 2.4 yet, I’ll have to check out the sample. Aug 08 03:13:28 2.4 is nice Aug 08 03:13:37 it adds bindings, which make a lot of things much easier Aug 08 03:14:09 here's the page on Bindings and Data-related kinds: http://enyojs.com/docs/2.4.0/building-apps/managing-data/building-data-driven-apps.html Aug 08 06:47:45 morning Aug 08 13:58:08 hey dmanderson, how come no one from the WebOS team comes over to freenode? Aug 08 16:47:30 morning enyo! Aug 08 16:47:43 I’m not sure GodGinrai, :) good question Aug 08 16:49:49 dmanderson: you should ask around and tell them we want them here :P Aug 08 16:49:54 HAHA Aug 08 16:54:22 * GodGinrai can't decide between the 55" or 47" webos tv Aug 08 16:54:39 the 55" costs ~$600 more, but it is 240Hz Aug 08 16:55:18 Your eyes will thank you :) Aug 08 16:56:01 yea, but I don't know if I need a 55" for the room I'm in Aug 08 16:56:13 Ahh, good call Aug 08 16:56:25 The 47" I have now is a good size Aug 08 16:56:41 but I'm tempted to get the 55" simply because of the refresh rate (since I play games) Aug 08 16:57:13 the 47" I have now is an LG Google TV that I am planning on selling off, btw Aug 08 16:57:56 to make room for a webos tv Aug 08 17:00:01 haha nice :) Aug 08 17:01:04 I wish flatscreens were as easy to shop for as CRTs Aug 08 17:01:18 (is the diagonal bigger? Good, let's get it.) Aug 08 17:02:17 Good old CRTs :) Aug 08 17:02:20 I still have one of those Aug 08 17:02:23 need it for the beat em ups Aug 08 17:02:25 So do I Aug 08 17:02:38 I have a 32" Sony Trinitron in my bedroom :) Aug 08 17:02:42 nice! Aug 08 17:02:46 have my Sega Saturn hooked up to it Aug 08 17:02:48 bet that works great with an arcade stick Aug 08 17:03:03 lol it would if I used those Aug 08 17:03:09 I prefer the Sega Saturn Model 2 pad Aug 08 17:03:25 I miss the Saturn. Aug 08 17:03:30 * dmanderson wants to play shining darkness now Aug 08 17:03:35 lol Aug 08 17:04:02 I miss Sega consoles period Aug 08 17:04:15 They were always a cut above the rest in design Aug 08 17:04:38 I blame the horrible DSP of the 16 bit era for thier down fall Aug 08 17:04:50 Nah Aug 08 17:04:58 it was bad business decisions Aug 08 17:05:10 Yeah like overclocking the CPU, and picking a crap DSP solution ;-) Aug 08 17:05:38 1) Not paying attention to the other hand and releasing Sega CD and 32X within a year of each other (2 different solutions for the same problem) Aug 08 17:05:55 They hired a brilliant team to do the conversions of master system to 3DS. Aug 08 17:06:12 2) Changing the Saturn specs last minute due to fear of Sony Aug 08 17:06:14 Ah yes, the 32x. Aug 08 17:06:30 3) Releasing the Saturn early to select retailers, making many enemies Aug 08 17:07:03 4) The Sonic X-treme fiasco Aug 08 17:07:39 Those are the big ones Aug 08 17:07:46 I always felt that Sonic was a more marketable character than Mario. Aug 08 17:07:57 Even the Sonic cartoons seem to do much better than Mario themed ones Aug 08 17:08:00 until Dreamcast, that certainly was true Aug 08 17:08:19 At least we have Sega to thank for Cryengine 3 on Wii U Aug 08 17:08:28 well, Sonic SatAM was better. The other one... not so much <.< Aug 08 17:08:51 ah, the Dreamcast Aug 08 17:08:57 first console to die because of DRM Aug 08 17:09:00 or the lack thereof Aug 08 17:09:09 chall: That's actually not why the console died Aug 08 17:09:38 considering I don't know anyone that ever actually bought a game for the Dreamcast, I'd say it was a pretty big part of it Aug 08 17:09:45 The piracy didn't pick up in a large enough capacity to hurt their sales until after Sega closed up shop Aug 08 17:10:02 lol Dreamcast DRM, you mean a few minutes of audio padding? :) Aug 08 17:10:05 at which point, they had already given up, so no one cared Aug 08 17:10:18 Disney still uses that tactic. Aug 08 17:10:20 dmanderson: No, the DRM was a different disc for the games Aug 08 17:10:31 6 minutes of blank audio at the beginning of the disc Aug 08 17:10:36 GD-ROM had a different density Aug 08 17:10:40 Ah Aug 08 17:10:40 than CD-ROM Aug 08 17:10:57 didn't really stop anyone Aug 08 17:11:05 it had a normal density section at the beginning, where you could store audio to let people know it isn't supposed to go in the CD player Aug 08 17:11:18 lol Aug 08 17:11:23 chall: What killed the Dreamcast was Sony Aug 08 17:11:26 I need to get a Dreamcast disk and try that Aug 08 17:11:53 Sega released the Dreamcast too early (although they kind of had to due to the Saturn...) Aug 08 17:11:58 so no one wanted to buy Aug 08 17:11:59 then Aug 08 17:12:03 the PS2 came out Aug 08 17:12:16 And it had DVD support\ Aug 08 17:12:26 right when DVDs were finally gaining traction Aug 08 17:12:35 plus, the PS2 was the cheapest DVD player in the market Aug 08 17:12:54 so everyone looking at getting a new console said "I can get 2 devices in one by buying the PS2" Aug 08 17:12:56 I must be one of those odd people that never uses his game consoles to play movies Aug 08 17:13:05 *That* is what killed the Dreamcast Aug 08 17:13:22 chall: Because you already had a DVD player Aug 08 17:13:31 I did not, actually Aug 08 17:13:41 then you stuck w/ VHS XD Aug 08 17:13:57 I didn't really watch movies Aug 08 17:13:59 But everyone interested in getting a DVD player saw the PS2 as an unbelievable deal Aug 08 17:13:59 still don't Aug 08 17:14:16 * chall shrugs Aug 08 17:14:41 because it was cheaper than all the other DVD players, it was actually purchased by people who didn't even plan to game in addition to normal gamers Aug 08 17:14:59 true Aug 08 17:15:19 the Dreamcast was killed due to the lack of DVD support Aug 08 17:15:22 that said, without the Dreamcast, we wouldn't have XBox Live Aug 08 17:15:28 I did Aug 08 17:15:31 so... there's that, I guess Aug 08 17:15:35 I bought it for the DVD player Aug 08 17:15:39 never had one before the PS2 Aug 08 17:15:44 which was indirectly caused by the expense it would have costed to add it when they started development which they started early because the Saturn failed Aug 08 17:15:50 it's dominos Aug 08 17:15:53 *dominoes Aug 08 17:16:04 piracy was chump change in comparison Aug 08 17:16:32 I wish more people like you worked in the gaming industry Aug 08 17:16:47 do you know how many times I've heard the Dreamcast used as a poster child for the need for DRM? Aug 08 17:16:55 I didn't even know all this stuff Aug 08 17:17:40 I was a large Sega fan, so I have accumulated this knowledge over the years Aug 08 17:18:31 unfortunately, I grew up on Nintendo Aug 08 17:18:53 I've never owned a working Sega console Aug 08 17:18:55 Ironically, the ease of writing games to CD-Rs and playing them on the Dreamcast has actually allowed the Dreamcast to be the most active retro console Aug 08 17:19:12 with commercial releases for the system coming out even today Aug 08 17:20:10 Dux 1.5 came out just last year Aug 08 17:21:39 That’s pretty awesome Aug 08 17:21:59 yea Aug 08 17:22:32 There's a big homebrew community for it as well Aug 08 17:22:57 that reminds me of a picture I saw the other day of a modded NES inside an NEW cartridge Aug 08 17:23:07 NES cartridge* Aug 08 17:25:19 I still think that if Sega would develop a new console, that they would be able to pull back in. Hopefully, with the legislation that is hurting arcades in Japan, it will convince Sammy to take Sega back into hardware on the consumer side Aug 08 17:25:36 Do they even have the capitol for it? Aug 08 17:25:42 *capital Aug 08 17:25:49 dmanderson: Sammy itself is in the green Aug 08 17:26:04 dmanderson: And Sega's arcade branch makes hand over fist Aug 08 17:26:04 Right, but in general it’s a poor investment Aug 08 17:26:13 Sony is putting A LOT of weight on the success of the PS4 Aug 08 17:26:37 dmanderson: Yes, but arcades are starting to make less money due to the legislation Aug 08 17:26:43 some will even go out of business Aug 08 17:26:49 this will be a huge hit for Sammy Aug 08 17:26:50 Interesting. Aug 08 17:27:05 Consoles are struggling in Japan as well. Aug 08 17:27:10 So as a contingency, a move back into @home hardware may be the smart move Aug 08 17:27:12 Would be interesting to see a new Sega handheld Aug 08 17:27:23 dmanderson: yea, but they aren't struggling outside of Japan Aug 08 17:27:35 Thats where it’s getting muddy Aug 08 17:27:40 I'd much rather see a new Sega home console Aug 08 17:27:53 Sega has always been an arcade company Aug 08 17:27:59 Right, westerners love consoles, easterners love hand helds Aug 08 17:28:01 they don't really know how to do handhelds well Aug 08 17:28:06 I mean in japan the average person gets 20 SQ FT of living space Aug 08 17:28:43 dmanderson: yea, I know Aug 08 17:28:56 I just don't think Sega could do it Aug 08 17:28:58 I’m interested to see the “Nintendo Fusion” Aug 08 17:29:06 that's a scam Aug 08 17:29:21 there is no Nintendo Fusion Aug 08 17:29:42 Rumor for sure, for there is some signs on the wall that they are headed toward something that will be a merged platform. Aug 08 17:29:56 no Aug 08 17:30:00 absolute, utter scam Aug 08 17:30:12 Why do you say scam? Aug 08 17:31:28 The Wii U gamepad so far has been the best in it category. Aug 08 17:31:39 Trumps the Shield amazingly well Aug 08 17:32:10 I'm saying "scam" because the rumor is vapor Aug 08 17:32:28 It's not that Nintendo's ideas are bad, it's that this Nintendo idea *does not exist* Aug 08 17:32:41 Sure, I’m not saying it does, hence the quotes :) Aug 08 17:33:00 yea, but you are talking like it is a possibility Aug 08 17:33:10 I am saying that I can guarantee 100% that it is not real Aug 08 17:34:27 Only two things are certin in life Aug 08 17:34:29 Death and Taxes Aug 08 17:34:30 :) Aug 08 17:34:37 One look at the specs and you can tell that they are just some idiots wet dream Aug 08 17:34:47 No the specs are total hogwash. Aug 08 17:34:51 2 130 mm DVGA (960 x 640) Capacitive Touchscreen <-- Won't ever happen Aug 08 17:34:53 But a lot can happen in a cycle of 7 years Aug 08 17:35:09 Even if it’s a failed product ala Virtual Boy Aug 08 17:35:12 Low End Vibration for Gameplay and App Alerts <-- Won't ever happen Aug 08 17:35:37 Right, I’m not even considering the rumor specs. Aug 08 17:35:51 The rumor specs are the only place that rumor came from Aug 08 17:35:52 Just some of the statements made during investor meetings, and the drive to put most of the hand held library on the Wii U over the 3DS Aug 08 17:37:24 Mobile GPU market is on like donky kong now too Aug 08 17:37:42 Yea Aug 08 17:37:50 although I doubt that will matter much Aug 08 17:38:10 Nintendo will stick w/ someone like PowerVR Aug 08 17:38:33 But the point is, there is no new console on the horizon Aug 08 17:38:39 not for a while Aug 08 17:39:15 Absolutely Aug 08 17:39:25 Still blows me away how old the PICA 200 is Aug 08 17:39:32 lol Aug 08 17:40:43 I’m more interesting in the nVidia vs Intel war thats happening, and what happens with the next Adreno Aug 08 17:40:47 *interested Aug 08 17:41:10 this is news to me Aug 08 17:42:08 Which news chall? :) Aug 08 17:42:22 "nVidia vs Intel war" Aug 08 17:42:43 Ah, yes they are going neck and neck in the mobile GPU market, the new Haswell GPUs are kicking some major butt Aug 08 17:43:14 dmanderson: Yea, but no one cares because neither of them let you use their GPUs with other chipsets Aug 08 17:43:21 Also true Aug 08 17:43:33 I’m just interested int he invested R&D moving the stuff a long. Aug 08 17:44:04 Most people keep insisting on more chipsets w/ Mali Graphics Aug 08 17:44:28 because everyone can use Mali Aug 08 17:44:35 and Mali has FOSS drivers Aug 08 17:44:47 Ah good ol Mali. Aug 08 17:45:49 bbl, grabbing lunch Aug 08 17:46:05 Also Mantel Aug 08 17:46:16 and whatever Microsoft is cooking up with the next release of DirectX Aug 08 17:46:18 exciting times. Aug 08 17:46:26 I read about that the other day Aug 08 17:46:27 enjoy! Aug 08 17:47:33 chall about mantel? Aug 08 17:47:41 yeah Aug 08 17:47:52 Yeah, exciting that AMD is going to allow anyone to use it Aug 08 17:48:00 indeed Aug 08 17:48:15 I've always preferred AMD hardware, so I'd like to see them make a comeback Aug 08 17:48:22 While we’re on this rant :) Also thank you Valve, for fixing MESA3D Aug 08 17:48:37 lol Aug 08 17:48:56 I've been very interested in what Valve is doing lately with SteamOS Aug 08 17:49:16 Very excited to have Linux be a viable gaming platform. Aug 08 17:49:24 indeed Aug 08 17:49:28 Only reason I left AMD cards alone for the last decade. Aug 08 17:49:52 And why does Intel have the best Linux support. Aug 08 17:50:01 a weird world Linux gaming. Aug 08 17:50:28 So how is the day going chall? Aug 08 17:50:32 Good Enyo stuff going on? Aug 08 17:59:25 We're all up Enyo biz. Aug 08 18:06:42 Intel has the best Linux support Aug 08 18:06:53 because they actually support it Aug 08 18:07:11 nvidia and co. just want Linux to go away Aug 08 18:08:51 nvidia realized the monetary gains from supporting Linux Aug 08 18:08:58 *intel realized Aug 08 18:09:08 Think about it... Aug 08 18:09:21 most people who want to run Linux nowadays go straight for intel Aug 08 18:10:34 and not just intel processors Aug 08 18:10:37 intel everything Aug 08 18:10:44 because it is the most likely to work Aug 08 18:11:04 sorry, dmanderson, got pulled away for lunch Aug 08 18:11:42 been pretty good over here. How's everything over there? Aug 08 18:12:30 GodGinrai, this would likely explain why my desktop refuses to run linux Aug 08 18:12:39 all AMD Aug 08 18:12:41 AMD? Aug 08 18:12:43 lol Aug 08 18:13:16 chall: Generic drivers should still work Aug 08 18:13:16 AMD Phenom II Black Edition and a Radeon 6950 Aug 08 18:13:22 like mesa Aug 08 18:13:28 nah, it won't even boot Aug 08 18:13:41 what have you tried? Aug 08 18:13:46 Mint and Debian Aug 08 18:14:14 try this, just to see if it boots: https://www.archlinux.org/download/ Aug 08 18:14:29 Mint worked for a little while Aug 08 18:14:48 then I did a sys upgrade and it was like "lolno" Aug 08 18:15:26 I've thought about trying arch Aug 08 18:15:41 one of my friends has been trying to get me on crunchbang Aug 08 18:16:05 nah, don't go crunchbang Aug 08 18:16:36 the base distros are the ones you want to stick w/ (arch, slackware, gentoo, debian, fedora) Aug 08 18:17:21 Arch is great, but I'm not saying you have to use it. But if the boot disc loads, you might want to consider it. Aug 08 18:17:44 see, that's the weird thing Aug 08 18:17:47 the live disks work Aug 08 18:18:23 Arch is much more vanilla than something like Mint Aug 08 18:18:32 wb GodGinrai, hope lunch was good :) Aug 08 18:18:32 it also has the best linux wiki online Aug 08 18:18:41 Roy__ \o/ Aug 08 18:18:49 dmanderson: just picked up some Arby's, but it was tasty ;) Aug 08 18:18:57 Good mood food :) Aug 08 18:20:59 Note, chall: Because Arch is more vanilla, and is more about no cruft, the base install doesn't even have X. You install the whole OS from the command line. However, it's not that hard, and there is a beginner's guide that walks you through almost step-by-step Aug 08 18:24:51 this does not look like enyo talk :) Aug 08 18:25:22 trex005: Discussion means people will participate Aug 08 18:25:23 * Roy__ smacks dmanderson with a stick. Aug 08 18:25:32 trex005: once people participate, Enyo can be discussed Aug 08 18:25:55 trust me, even if it isn't about Enyo, the channel seems a lot more helpful to newcomers if discussion is going on Aug 08 18:26:00 lol Aug 08 18:26:06 because it shows that those names on the side are not just posters Aug 08 18:26:10 GodGinrai: agreed.... There was no discussion in here for weeks it seemed.... then we talked for a few days and BAM, now there's discussion in here all the time Aug 08 18:26:16 Yeah the more activity the better this room looks :) Aug 08 18:27:51 I've decided I suck at enyo, and am willing to pay you each $10 to re-code my app..... ready?! :D Aug 08 18:28:08 damn this Date object off-by-one error -_- Aug 08 18:40:26 lol trex005 Aug 08 18:40:32 I do offer AirPair sessions for EnyoJS Aug 08 18:40:33 ;-) Aug 08 18:41:13 AirPair? Aug 08 18:41:31 Sounds like a bad market name for a bluetooth technology Aug 08 18:41:52 It’s a website to do Pair Programming for a bunch of things you want to learn/ need help with Aug 08 18:42:03 They actually are running a conference this month Aug 08 18:42:05 AirConf Aug 08 18:42:12 through Hangouts Aug 08 18:42:48 does it just match people up? Aug 08 18:42:52 how do they get paid? Aug 08 18:43:21 Yeah it matches you up, experts put down the range they are willing to help Aug 08 18:43:27 You put down how much you are willing to pay Aug 08 18:43:37 ah Aug 08 19:06:48 here's an Enyo question for you Aug 08 19:07:08 I'm trying to subkind a kind that has a published property Aug 08 19:07:32 I want my new subkind to set a value for this property automatically (as part of the definition) Aug 08 19:07:42 do I still put it inside a published block? Aug 08 19:13:04 No you can just say the prop = default Aug 08 19:13:12 the setters and getters will follow the inhertiance chain Aug 08 19:13:42 ex: http://jsfiddle.net/toxigenicpoem/61rLw2pz/ Aug 08 19:17:14 cool, thanks Aug 08 19:41:55 yea, chall, you only want to publish it if you want getters and setters for it Aug 08 19:43:10 if that's already done, then there's no need to republish it Aug 08 19:43:51 oh hey, dmanderson! The Update button is finally back on JSFiddle! Aug 08 19:51:13 oh nice! Aug 08 19:51:33 I thought maybe they disabled it for anons Aug 08 19:55:36 lol Aug 08 19:55:44 doing that would kill their use Aug 08 19:55:48 anyway Aug 08 19:55:52 heading out for the day Aug 08 19:55:57 cya guys Aug 08 20:37:58 GodGinrai: what's the refresh rate on the 47"? Aug 08 20:38:15 I can't find anywhere that gives it Aug 08 20:38:23 it's like LG is hiding it :( Aug 08 20:38:38 not a good sign Aug 08 20:38:54 normally when they say something is MCI 600, it is a 120Hz Aug 08 20:38:54 I'm just catching up in the conversation. You have a trinitron?! cool, mine burned out Aug 08 20:39:14 yea, got it at a yard sale 4 years or so ago for $20 Aug 08 20:39:53 best deal I've ever gotten on a TV :P Aug 08 20:41:53 I was going to guess 120Hz, 120 is great. Is 240Hz really needed? I'm still in the 60Hz days Aug 08 20:42:15 for gaming, the higher the better Aug 08 20:42:27 well, at some point your eye can't tell the difference Aug 08 20:42:40 yea, but remember Aug 08 20:42:40 I thought that the limit is 60Hz Aug 08 20:42:58 GodGinrai has special eyes Aug 08 20:43:04 60Hz on flat screens is *not* the same as 60Hz on CRTs Aug 08 20:43:13 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-fRuoMIfpw Aug 08 20:43:48 what is this i dont even Aug 08 20:44:01 I would rather go with reaction speed. that counts way more for gaming Aug 08 20:44:23 dmanderson: haha Aug 08 20:44:25 Zectbumo reaction speed is yourself Aug 08 20:44:36 not your fingers Aug 08 20:44:38 refresh rate is how fast what you can react to is displayed on the screen Aug 08 20:45:13 I'm pretty sure that's just the signal speed that the monitor gets. the LCD transition in state is different Aug 08 20:46:32 Zectbumo: yes, hence why not all 60Hz are created equal (CRT vs flatscreen) Aug 08 20:46:51 if my monitor refreshes at 60Hz but takes my LCD pixel 1/2s to change from dark to light then what's the point of faster refreshes? Aug 08 20:47:35 lets toss in DPI and resolution handling into the mix! Aug 08 20:47:45 woot to a fun discussion :D Aug 08 20:47:47 * dmanderson steps back Aug 08 20:48:09 Zectbumo: normally, the TV w/ the higher refresh rate tends to have everything tooled to take advantage of that Aug 08 20:48:26 (hence why LG gives their 240Hz 55" an MCI count of 960) Aug 08 20:48:27 GodGinrai: you would hope Aug 08 20:48:45 and what's the MCI of the 47? Aug 08 20:48:52 600 Aug 08 20:49:33 $600 difference. Coincidence?? Aug 08 20:49:52 lol Aug 08 20:52:23 my gut feeling, not worth the $600. But don't take it from me and my 60Hz 19ns monitor. Aug 08 20:52:35 lol Aug 08 21:04:38 GodGinrai: I asked my friend about it. He's a gamer and a believer in plasma TVs. Aug 08 21:05:21 2 things: 1) They don't make webos plasmas 2) I like vibrant colors Aug 08 21:05:47 I’ve got little kids, so plasma is out of the question for me atm. Aug 08 21:13:18 yeah, #2 was on the cons list from my friends recommendation. Aug 08 21:13:29 the other being burn in Aug 08 21:14:06 dmanderson: is plasma bad for kids or kids bad for plasm? Aug 08 21:14:16 kids are bad for plasma Aug 08 21:14:23 the double paned glass is pretty fragile Aug 08 21:14:28 ouch Aug 08 21:14:54 Not fond of the ‘TV protector’ look, giant plastic sitting over top the screen Aug 08 21:15:23 yeah, lame like head gear Aug 08 21:15:28 lol yeah Aug 08 21:25:06 Zectbumo, I don't know how your gamer friend survives the latency on plasma Aug 08 21:25:25 the newer ones might be better, but all the ones I ever used had massive display latencies Aug 08 21:47:33 chall: he said it's all about the scaler. You probably looked at a TV with a slow scaler. Aug 08 22:07:56 I guess. I'd still rather spend less money on a better TV Aug 08 22:08:25 that said, I do all my gaming on a 42" 1080i LCD TV Aug 08 22:08:34 so, not exactly the best of the best Aug 08 22:15:42 lol Aug 08 22:44:29 So, I've been playing Plague Inc Aug 08 22:44:38 I think I got extremely lucky with my first virus Aug 08 22:44:56 it took me 3 tries to wipe out humanity with my bacterial infections Aug 08 22:45:04 got us with a virus in one go Aug 08 22:45:37 I found the rapid mutation helped me more often than it hurt me Aug 08 23:20:33 Nice :) Plauge Inc. Aug 08 23:20:51 * dmanderson games on a 22” 1080 LCD monitor Aug 08 23:26:04 * Zectbumo games on a 19" 1024 LCD monitor Aug 08 23:29:08 crankin doesn't game. Aug 08 23:49:16 So I pulled out my WebOS Palm Pre3 to see how they do form validation and validation notification of errors, and they pretty much don't. Either you can enter invalid emails and it saves fine, or if it is required to be valid then they just disable the Submit button until you get it right. No errors or warnings. Aug 08 23:50:09 So I can see why Enyo doesn't have any validation now Aug 08 23:51:43 I still can’t! ;-) Aug 08 23:51:47 It should be there Aug 08 23:51:52 * dmanderson shakes fists at kanban Aug 08 23:52:12 Must have just not been on the tip of everyone’s mind when the feature set was laid out. Aug 08 23:53:40 Zectbumo: lol Aug 09 00:03:56 I dunno, that's a pretty big oversight. I think they were looking to cut corners and said let's fit the lack of validation into the overall design: Silently sit disabled until our smart customer gets it right and don't sweat the rest. Aug 09 01:27:01 Zectbumo: I don't believe that HTML Form Validation had been recommended by W3 yet back when Enyo was developed. Aug 09 02:05:11 Hi, can someone please help me figure out how to get the photo to link correctly? I’m not sure how to turn the photo name into a link. http://jsbin.com/nozovobi/2/edit?html,js,output **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Aug 09 02:59:59 2014
