Mar 30 13:24:18 <CyrusFF> no the 54MBit is the datarate of the device, but as its a kind of radio device only one device can send at a time, so they have to coordinate with: Clear to Send, Ready to Send etc. messages and this coordination also takes time, then you have the usual network layer (mac-addresses etc.) which also adds overhead and in the end you have around 22MBit/s left of your 54MBit
