In /etc/config/luci I changed option 'compiler_mode' to 'memory' This generally slows the webui, but at the same time seems to stabelize the system, when transmission is running. maybe you add the findings to http://trac.fonosfera.org/fon-ng/ticket/414, unfortunately one can't leave comments there...
