**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jul 02 03:00:00 2018 Jul 02 09:37:49 I have now switched to a new SIM from a new operator, and I have now a purple LED constantly switched on on the right side of the Gemini. It starts blinking when I open the lid. Does anybody know what it is used for, and how can I turn it off? Jul 02 09:44:05 turns out it might have been a "no data" warning. I have now received the correct APN configuration, once I have set it the LED has turned off Jul 02 14:54:34 `say gameoveryeah Jul 02 14:54:57 ? Jul 02 15:21:59 forgot to disable my autohotkey script.. sorry Jul 02 16:44:38 Brought my Gemini instead of a laptop on my current (ongoing) travels. Really like the note-taking ease of it. GPS is nicer with such a screen than my Garmin eTrex 30, but of course the latter has a better GPS and better battery life. So that makes the tracks. Jul 02 16:45:06 Gemini is for the quick lookups of where I am. Jul 02 16:46:13 android app that I picked for mapshas some very annoying usability mistakes, however. Jul 02 17:42:05 OT -- is there a good (preferably varti-started, your sign of quality) irc channel for the GPD Pocket? Jul 02 17:42:49 i got one and am loving it (Ubuntu-18.04, Trinity Desktop) but have a couple config issues i hole Jul 02 17:43:10 somebody has worked out. i'll return to gemini when the smoke has cleared a bit. Jul 02 17:43:40 hole=hope Jul 02 17:44:06 (no, not a joke) Jul 02 18:15:04 Dumb question time again: I've finally flashed Sailfish. But, I can't seem to get past what appears to be the lock screen (with clock). Dragging up from bottom activates the camera, and dragging down from top seems to change modes (Silent / Flow / Work etc....). Dragging from either side does nothing apart from show some arrows < & >. How do I unlock the Sailfish main screen? Jul 02 18:17:01 you should be able to slide sideways to unlock Jul 02 18:18:40 Nah, sideways slide (from either direction or either side) does nothing...strange... Jul 02 18:18:55 (nothing apart from show the arrows) Jul 02 18:29:53 I may give it a second flash as it's behaving very oddly... Jul 02 19:15:36 google backup & restore doesn't seem to be working too well.. looks like it hasn't removed the crapware i uninstalled before flashing gemini.. and to no surprise apps from f-droid are not reinstalled. Jul 02 19:57:24 canny[m]: try setting SIM 1 to the default in Android Jul 02 19:58:13 canny[m]: don't ask me why it works but got to the same place as you and setting SIM 1 to the default for all of calls/data/sms in Android, made Sailfish OS work Jul 02 21:08:08 rah: Cheers, I'll give that a go. Jul 02 21:22:43 ok tested sailfish and debian with latest images... both work fine Jul 02 21:23:12 especially debian has got lots of love and feels useful **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Jul 03 03:00:00 2018
