**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Dec 11 02:59:58 2019 Dec 11 08:21:43 @TheKit I'm going to update our Kali image for the Gemini and I'll create a new one for the Cosmo over the next couple of weeks. Have you guys switched to debos for your builds? How's that working for you? Dec 11 11:40:02 mfritsche/davedoom: I'm TauPan Dec 11 11:40:15 So I copy-pasted the wrong link, eh? Dec 11 11:41:00 Hmkay... that one contains the session id. Dec 11 11:41:32 Can I invalidate the session somehow, so people can't impersonate me? Dec 11 11:42:30 Ok, logging out seems to do it. Dec 11 11:45:57 mifritscher/davedoom: Thanks for alerting me... Don't know how that happened. I think I pasted that url from a mobile device. Dec 11 14:12:33 TauPan: the problem is the s=blah argument in the URL it seems. Lazy forum developers^^ Dec 11 14:41:04 I think there's a popup on mobile that tells you something about the link you're about to copy but it was tl/dr. Dec 11 17:33:44 re4son, I'm using debos for Cosmo builds, but didn't do it for Gemini yet. Otherwise it's working in much more reliable way than old multistrap scripts Dec 11 18:21:16 Anyone else updated their Cosmo already? Android seems to have worked well, but Cover Display update is stuck at 9% Dec 11 18:22:48 First attempt showed an error, second started VERY slowly. I became impatient and started doing other stuff on the Cosmo. Since then it's stuck. :-/ Dec 11 18:23:14 I'm not sure if I should quit and try again or wait longer. Dec 11 18:27:49 I think I'm going to wait on the update. Dec 11 18:28:03 I'm reading about lots of bad flashes Dec 11 18:30:07 zottel: I also had the issue of the first failed update, the second run went well. But I did not tinker around with the device. Dec 11 19:06:32 Hm. It took some 25 minutes to flash the resource file. The firmware file was much quicker, until it stopped at 74% when an email notification came in. I'll try the recommendation at the support site now and flash while in airplane mode. Dec 11 19:07:17 i saw a youtube video about the front side update. the video creator also had trouble updating it but it went ok in the end Dec 11 20:09:02 Wait on update revision, check Dec 11 20:09:11 thank you all those that went before so I didn't have to Dec 11 20:17:52 this is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa4f87g2u1o it's a bit long winded Dec 11 20:18:07 he clicks the flash now button quite a many times :) Dec 11 20:59:30 It finally worked. Third attempt went to 26% of the resource file until it got stuck, possibly because battery hit 100%? (It was charging.) Dec 11 21:02:47 Fourth attempt got stuck at 34% when I switched off the light in the room. So I rebooted again, waited until everything had settled, switched off display brightness adaption, checked again for the updates, switched to flight mode, and bingo! Dec 11 21:04:42 zottel: rebooted while the update was running? Dec 11 21:06:07 No, I quit the update before, of course. Dec 11 21:06:44 Though I'm not sure if that's much of a difference. Dec 11 21:08:22 I only rebooted because that's recommended at http://support.planetcom.co.uk/index.php/Cosmo_Firmware_upgrade Dec 11 21:08:54 (if there are problems) Dec 11 21:09:52 Ah, and I also disabled Tasker just to be sure there are as few things doing stuff in the background as possible. Dec 12 00:04:34 I succeeded in flashing the cosmo. I'm still looking for a rooted image. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Dec 12 02:59:58 2019
