I think it has something to do with GCC, because I went through the file and the call doesnt seem to be ambiguous Jan 22 04:10:03 im building halium 5.1 atm Jan 22 06:03:32 Try aosp toolchain Jan 22 06:22:06 @KunalBhat, It's using the compiler of your linux distribution. This should usually not be the case except for if it's compiling host tools right now. Jan 22 06:22:31 I added the flag LANG=C Jan 22 06:22:49 It's currently compiling fine... Don't want to jinx it 😂 **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Jan 22 07:45:53 2019 Jan 22 08:08:01 @Sergobot It's screwed up now Jan 22 08:08:10 when I've added udev rules Jan 22 08:08:17 Boots to initrd now Jan 22 08:36:20 Post dmesg and mount :) Jan 22 08:38:25 https://termbin.com/jccb … There cometh dmesg Jan 22 08:47:06 You sure that udev rules broke it? 🤔 Jan 22 08:47:15 Yeah Jan 22 08:47:26 What's even weirder Jan 22 08:47:40 is that, half of the time, it doesn't even give a USB Ethernet interface Jan 22 08:47:47 Not half of the time Jan 22 08:47:49 It's even more Jan 22 08:47:58 Like nine out of 10 attempts Jan 22 08:48:38 Woah Jan 22 08:49:04 Not sure if I can help with that, mine is fine :/ Jan 22 08:49:34 Anyway, gotta go now Jan 22 08:49:54 Fine ... see you! Jan 22 11:11:07 Hi guys! Please, see https://github.com/Halium/android_vendor_cm/pull/2 Jan 22 11:11:21 [Edit] Hi guys! Please, merge https://github.com/Halium/android_vendor_cm/pull/2 Jan 22 14:07:44 Any reason not to, @mariogrip or @bhushanshah? Jan 22 14:09:11 @UniversalSuperBox, it seems to add back apicheck.mk and vendorsetup.sh that might (or will) break things Jan 22 14:09:30 Dat can be reverted Jan 22 14:15:14 also changer-related uncomments can cause problems Jan 22 14:15:16 Merge-and-revert is what got the Android source tree to such a messy place in the first place. We should avoid that. Jan 22 14:15:49 I would suggest to cherry-pick dt-related changes instead of merging the whole bunch Jan 22 14:16:15 it seems to be only uild/tasks/dt_image.mk? Jan 22 14:16:20 [Edit] it seems to be only build/tasks/dt_image.mk? Jan 22 14:17:05 @NotKit, Do you have write-access in halium to make that review? Jan 22 14:18:17 no Jan 22 14:18:39 Oh hey, I can't fix that Jan 22 14:18:41 @mariogrip can Jan 22 14:19:12 O.o Jan 22 14:19:25 @notkit might have access to halium already no? Jan 22 15:07:15 @r3pwn, Are you a dev maybe? Jan 22 15:07:49 Dzmitry I realize in earlier PR @NotKit had some open questions? Jan 22 19:07:19 @JBBgameich, Ok, thanks, that's a pity. Jan 22 19:11:59 Thanks anyway, you really helped me out a lot of times. … And thanks to @NotKit s xorg server I now have an accelerated Gnome desktop on an Android laptop/tablet, which is really cool. Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 is even playable, amazing! … Thank you guys so much! Jan 22 19:12:05 I'd also like to show my appreciation with a small donation to the project - where can I do that? Jan 22 19:13:17 Daniel accelerated GNOME desktop? Jan 22 19:13:25 would like some videos of that Jan 22 19:14:59 I do not think it is accelerated, as that would require patches to libhybris and GNOME compiled with GLES support Jan 22 19:15:56 Well, at least I thought that's what your xf86-video-hwcomposer does. I mean, I uses fbdev before and e.g. Firefox scrolling was really slow. Now it's running smooth and glxgears gives me decent framerates even in full screen... … Have I been mistaken? Jan 22 19:17:47 yes, then it is MESA LLVMpipe running fast on your device Jan 22 19:18:01 glxgears relies on desktop OpenGL, which is out of scope for it Jan 22 19:18:07 Let me just grab a short video... Jan 22 19:20:12 (Video, 10s) https://irc.ubports.com/JiKaWSyT.mp4 Jan 22 19:23:18 @NotKit, Hm... I see. However, the UI is running quite well now and with fbdev (especially as the screen had to be rotated and therefore be shadowed) performance was *really* bad Jan 22 19:23:57 is it GNOME Shell? Jan 22 19:24:10 If you are using xorg now anyway you can also use kwin_x11 if you still want to run a plasma desktop Jan 22 19:25:10 It's a regular mate-session - if that's what you mean? Jan 22 19:25:39 (it's an Intel x86 tablet, so it can run the JK2 binaries) Jan 22 19:27:58 @JBBgameich, Hm... yeah, that would be interesting. Still trying to find out, which environment fits my needs best on a small tablet. Jan 22 22:42:48 Hello! Does anyone have any experience with LG devices? I've got a LG G Pad 7 LTE (codename 'V410') tablet and I've followed the instructions of porting Halium all the way to installation with the reference rootfs. When I try to boot it, I get at the top of the screen, the message "ERROR: boot certification failed" and it appears to hang. It doesn't show up on USB and there is nothing else on the screen. Jan 22 22:56:07 @Daniel, that's explains Jan 22 22:56:29 I thought you've been running GNOME 3 Jan 22 22:57:50 @Daniel, [Edit] that explains Jan 22 23:03:15 could you send me /var/log/Xorg.0.log when you get a chance? never tried it on x86 device before Jan 23 00:11:56 Matthew Taylor was added by: Matthew Taylor Jan 23 00:49:32 hi there, can you tell me if I can get an OS working on an LG V10 Pls? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Jan 23 02:59:57 2019
