I have successfully built halium-boot.img and tried to boot it on my device with a "fastboot boot" command. … Looks like it is boots OK, no rebooting. It also brings up a telnet, but I don't see anything on my screen. Only last fastboot mode screen. Is it OK? Apr 06 13:25:39 @aa_sokolov [Hello. I have successfully built halium-boot.img and tried to boot it on my devi …], Connect to it via telnet and check logs Apr 06 13:27:47 @Mattia990 [Connect to it via telnet and check logs], I have checked them. I don't see any crime there. Frame buffer has been successfully initialized. Should I see any images during "halium-boot" or "halium-recovery" running? Apr 06 13:28:34 @aa_sokolov [I have checked them. I don't see any crime there. Apr 06 13:30:49 On most devices there is at least 4 weeks of work between those 2 steps... Apr 06 22:46:36 (Photo, 960x1280) https://irc.ubports.com/y5xiCF9p.png Apr 06 22:46:42 That's my S7 Apr 06 22:47:24 moto g4s plus (sanders), that's the first time I got an image at all Apr 06 22:48:11 I got the same screen on s7 last night, but every process during init gets killed and returns value of 2, and I am trying to figure out why Apr 06 22:52:15 (Photo, 1440x2560) https://irc.ubports.com/ifLV80HD.png Apr 06 22:52:24 And i have the installer ;) Apr 06 22:57:25 Nice, what did you do to get passed the splash screen? Apr 06 23:02:35 i used hybris boot and halium rootfs to debug all the errors in booting up everything. Then i looked into `/system/bin/logcat` and cleaned up everything there but only with the `mer_verify_kernel_config`. After that i did the `./halium/halium-boot/check-kernel-config ` and flashed it. By luck it worked out of nowwhere Apr 06 23:02:44 [Edit] i used hybris boot and halium rootfs to debug all the errors in booting up everything. But enough for today Apr 06 23:13:23 I'll switch to halium rootfs I guess for debugging since you say it worked for you. I know it has lots of hardware tests I'd like to run Apr 06 23:16:21 I did that because that's what the docs tell me and i am an absolute noob in kernel configs and porting :). Until now I learned a lot Apr 06 23:21:26 psykkuno was added by: psykkuno Apr 06 23:38:46 I'm a noob to halium and ut, but I have experience with similar types of work at a hobby project level over 20 years Apr 06 23:39:13 I've been learning a lot too as I do this Apr 06 23:40:51 I have lots of related experience but very little with actual halium. I tired to get bullhead working for UT a couple years ago but it was a nightmare and this time I'm having better luck Apr 07 00:28:36 (Document) https://irc.ubports.com/JdPdkUtK.xml Apr 07 00:28:36 please add manifest g2 - Apr 07 02:06:37 Okay, I got hybris-boot working, and am pushing the builds to the device via halium-install, to try and debug the way @nanu_c said worked for him Apr 07 02:07:41 hybris-boot had to be kexec hardbooted from a android kernel as initial booted kernel, because the alternative is to write a new bootloader for my device Apr 07 02:08:44 So I have hybris-boot in /system and lineage kernel in boot partition, and then it works, but I don't thunk it will ever work normally on Samsung bootloader **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Apr 07 02:59:57 2019
