**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Oct 22 03:00:01 2014 Oct 22 08:48:36 thx bencoh ;) Oct 22 10:11:27 moin :) Oct 22 13:42:40 re Oct 22 13:43:26 do you know how can i start my_bash_script ? Oct 22 13:43:57 bash my_bash_script didn t work Oct 22 13:44:13 apt-get install bash ? Oct 22 13:44:33 oops Oct 22 13:45:52 re Oct 22 13:46:17 about question from root ,something ? Oct 22 13:47:41 i made little bash script on Ubuntu , and now i want use on maemo terminal , but i don't know how Oct 22 13:59:06 well, do you have bash installed? Oct 22 14:40:04 I rarely come across scripts that take any advantage of bash but still define bash in shebang Oct 22 14:41:32 there are ... some Oct 22 14:41:37 not much Oct 22 14:45:53 I believe I have written exactly one script (or rather collection of scripts) that uses Bash's extensions. That one manages collection of configuration files, keeps track of local changes to them and so forth. Almost the only reason to use Bash instead of sh was keyword "local". In retrospect, it probably would have been better to use some other language instead... Oct 22 15:18:28 test Oct 22 15:29:32 CapsuL: 'sh my_script.sh' will run in the default shell. As mentioned you may need to change your shebang to /bin/sh, unless you really need bash over busybox. Oct 22 15:29:36 ~messybox Oct 22 15:29:36 messy... err busybox is meant for lean scripting. Regarding all the missing options and immanent limitations (see su, passwd, nice, ps, diff as used by mc...) it's not really the interactive shell of choice. A lot of people hate busybox because a lot of system integrators don't understand the difference between busybox and a decent user interactive shell plus unix utils Oct 22 15:36:43 is this something that sould be fixed? tracker-indexer[3585]: GLIB MESSAGE Tracker - Tracker couldn't read stopword file:'/usr/share/tracker/languages/stopwords.fi', Failed to open file '/usr/share/tracker/languages/stopwords.fi': open() failed: No such file or directory Oct 22 15:37:03 should* Oct 22 15:37:26 or just normal thing... Oct 22 15:54:02 and another question. Should i change something from iptables to get dcc working or is it just not working because of my mobile data provider systems? Oct 22 16:03:59 Vajb: those errors don't usually 'mean' much .. Oct 22 16:05:44 and by default, N900 accepts traffic. you're not geting DCC because you are very likely behind NAT.. check if ip address for gprs0 is the same as what's reported by wimi.com for example. Oct 22 16:10:03 i'm using scratchbox and would like to install some dev pkgs from debian (squeeze) to build an application i intend to use on my n900. what is the suggested way to do this - should i add the debian apt repos to the scratchbox environment or should i install needed pkgs manually (using dpkg)? Oct 22 16:10:25 I'd say neither of those Oct 22 16:10:51 try porting the package from debian to maemo Oct 22 16:11:29 ok, so build-deps for my target package should be installed manually (no apt or dpkg) in the target build env? Oct 22 16:11:52 the reason i'm asking is that it would be sweet to be able to just dpkg-buildpackage in the sbox env Oct 22 16:12:05 but i'm missing the build-deps from the debian packaging control file Oct 22 16:15:03 why dont you dpkg-buildpackage on the deps ? Oct 22 16:15:43 good idea... Oct 22 16:31:12 ~Moo Oct 22 16:31:13 mooooooo! I am cow, hear me moo, I weigh twice as much as you. I'm a cow, eating grass, methane gas comes out my ass. I'm a cow, you are too; join us all! type apt-get moo. Oct 22 16:32:18 Gogogogo hi Oct 22 16:32:55 Brbockneblg Oct 22 16:51:47 ~ping Oct 22 16:51:47 ~pong Oct 22 19:56:44 Is it not possible to sync Google Calendar to maemo any more? Oct 22 20:35:22 Sicelo: thx for the info. As u suspected im behind nat Oct 22 21:57:20 any solutions to dcc behind nat? There is perl scripst to do that, but i remember reading that perl scripts are not working on maemo version of irssi. Oct 22 22:01:19 Vajb: irssi with perl scripts --> http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1443068&postcount=1 Oct 22 22:02:39 i don't know if *your* script will actually do what you intend for it to do, but that version of irssi supports scripts fine for me. i especially use 'my_beep.pl' scripts to get audible notifications from irssi with the N900 ;) Oct 22 22:08:39 yes i saw that post, but kinda lost appetite because i never installed anything outside repo's lol Oct 22 22:09:11 hehe. ok. up to you :) Oct 22 22:09:39 alternatively, build it for yourself in SB Oct 22 22:09:56 nor build anything haha Oct 22 22:10:21 well i'll sleep over it and then decide :) Oct 22 22:10:21 well then, no perl for you :p Oct 22 22:10:42 thx again Oct 22 22:10:50 yw Oct 22 22:10:57 and good night Oct 22 23:54:21 http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1443914#post1443914 Oct 23 02:08:57 god I am beginning to HATE PulseAudio Oct 23 02:18:14 :) Could not they have done plug-ins aka modules, so that it would be easy to analyse parts of it? Oct 23 02:20:24 They did do separate plugins for PulseAudio in Meego and Harmattan Oct 23 02:20:29 which helps us Oct 23 02:21:55 but I still need to understand the sink and source stuff **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Oct 23 03:00:00 2014
