Moin is very northern germanic. Apr 23 19:50:09 siac siac siac Apr 23 20:50:43 Hey M4rtinK, I think I am having some success on an issue I mentioned. I deleted my sqlite file and re downloaded some tiles on the device and mapping is working much better. Also not had the watchdog or SGX issue since I did that :) Apr 23 20:52:13 The sqlite file I had was copied from my desktop version maybe there was an issue with it. Apr 23 21:12:18 sixwheeledbeast^: weird Apr 23 21:12:49 sixwheeledbeast^: but possible - there might have been some corrupted tiles/error pages downloaded instead of tiles in the old database Apr 23 21:13:22 modRana now check that the data it downloaded is actually an image, but it not used to be like this in the past Apr 23 21:13:27 *checks Apr 23 21:14:27 BTW, I plan to eventually split an rewrite the tile handling code to a separate module Apr 23 21:14:44  I believe the modRana I had on the desktop at the time was old, the Ubuntu package on your site. Apr 23 21:15:26 to make it more maintainable and to make it easier to support different tile storage methods with a unified abstract interface Apr 23 21:15:36 I have seen installed the "cutting edge" version :) Apr 23 21:15:43 s/seen/since/ Apr 23 21:15:44 sixwheeledbeast^ meant: I have since installed the "cutting edge" version :) Apr 23 21:15:44 sixwheeledbeast^: that's ***OLD*** :D Apr 23 21:16:03 like really really old Apr 23 21:16:18 like maybe 4 years old, which is a lot in software terms Apr 23 21:16:19 yay for appropriate naming :) Apr 23 21:16:31 oldRana Apr 23 21:16:52 ubuntu packaging volunteers welcome :) Apr 23 21:17:42 even though the modRana git repository is designed in such a way that you can just clone it and then run modRana right away Apr 23 21:17:59 Never packaged anything before for ubuntu, I could look if I get time. Apr 23 21:18:22 it also finally has tags, so you can easily check the "stable" versions Apr 23 21:18:28 That's what I did in the end, you could setup a PPA for Ubuntu. Apr 23 21:19:27 I also have't done a Debian package in ages Apr 23 21:19:45 I basically have a script for making one for the N900 Apr 23 21:20:06 and that is using some python thingie khertan made years ago to autogenerate the package :) Apr 23 21:21:25 py2deb IIRC? Apr 23 21:24:23 yeah, something like that Apr 23 21:24:59 sixwheeledbeast^: https://github.com/M4rtinK/modrana-packaging/tree/master/modrana/sdist_maemo Apr 23 21:25:15 py2deb wa based on this ir was its predecessor Apr 23 21:28:30 *was Apr 23 21:32:51 BTW, I've just started new build in the modRana COPR: https://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/m4rtink/modrana Apr 23 21:33:10 (COPR is the Fedora PPA equivalent) Apr 23 21:42:39 and the build was successful :) Apr 23 22:56:38 great for Fedora users ;) Apr 24 01:35:31 ooh, now that I have an N900 I can actually use modrana :D Apr 24 01:36:20 other device is a N4 with sailfish which sadly doesn't have working GPS Apr 24 02:29:18 My Nokia N900 reboots when I try to shut down. Regularly. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri Apr 24 02:59:59 2015
