After installing python2.7 and downloading libpebble2 source from github, I had to install python-setuptools and python-pkg-resources from debian repository (to match python2.7), while telling dpkg to ignore "unmet" dependencies (python 2.5.2 vs python2.7 2.7). Then do some symbolic links (two dirs and five files) to tell python2.7 to see the modules.

Anyway, python2.7 setup.py install needs root privileges, to install to wherever, run it under sudo gainroot. And TMPDIR=/home/user/MyDocs , since libpebble2 has some dependencies to be downloaded and installed
