**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Aug 28 03:00:01 2017 Aug 28 03:53:08 I emailed Sales @ Geeksphone on Monday to ask if a battery for the Revolution is still available, have still not received any reply. The Geeksphone public Web site still looks the same as it did in 2014, when the Revolution was newly released. My Revolution is now unusable unless I want to use the bulging battery because modern mobile computers (handheld or tablet, not x86 notebook) are designed so that they are always powered by the battery even while a Aug 28 03:53:08 powered USB cable is connected. Aug 28 03:55:34 Yes, I can still directly power the battery terminals of the Revolution if I really wanted to but I do not have the hardware required to do that at home. Aug 28 03:59:54 My home computer sounds like one of its fans is dying, apparently the CPU heatsink fan or a fan in the power supply but not the rear case fan. Aug 28 04:13:34 brolin_empey : #neo900 will work without a battery inserted, from USB power cable, I think Aug 28 04:14:03 For existing phone, you can try simple-batteries mod, like AAA-batteries or something Aug 28 04:18:55 Oksana: Thank you but I only need to receive the new batteries for my Galaxy Note 3, then things will be back to normal. Aug 28 04:19:17 Nice :-) Aug 28 04:38:22 * Oksana still cannot find the project where N900 was equipped with NiMd batteries? Aug 28 12:08:59 Just updated maemo-security-certman to the latest root CA certificates from Mozilla. Aug 28 12:09:27 great work :-) Aug 28 12:21:20 is gitlab working for anyone else? Aug 28 12:22:57 I mean github Aug 28 12:25:45 at least accessing via browser seems to work for me, just fine Aug 28 12:25:59 Seems to be a dns problem somewhere on my end then Aug 28 12:30:12 Although other Aussies are reporting issues as well Aug 28 12:49:37 geo-IP? Aug 28 12:50:48 http://paste.ubuntu.com/25417340 Aug 28 17:32:45 The batteries for the Galaxy Note 3 have arrived. The old, bulging battery is Samsung model B800BU. The new batteries are Samsung model B800BC. I do not know what the difference between the models of battery is but the new battery seems to work so far. Aug 28 17:47:23 B800.BU(lging) Aug 28 17:48:02 brolin_empey: ^^ :) Aug 28 19:02:54 sicelo: :D Aug 28 21:50:46 libhildon-plugins-notify-sv.so RE is complete, now it just needs some testing and packaging :) Aug 28 22:04:13 Great news :) Aug 28 22:04:42 What about libplayback, it looks complete except I am not sure if the pending pull request should be merged or not and whether it really is complete Aug 28 22:05:39 I will merge it and will fix whatever needed, as TheKit said, he is not exactly debian guy so we can;t expect miracles from him Aug 28 22:05:50 ok. Aug 28 22:06:05 or, if you have spare time, feel free to do it for me Aug 28 22:06:07 I do wonder though what makes hildon-plugins-notify-sv so magic and why it Aug 28 22:06:15 why it needs to be closed Aug 28 22:06:21 no idea Aug 28 22:06:50 there is nothing special about that code Aug 28 22:07:00 freemangordon, I fixed what was mentioned before, if there is anything else, please tell me :) Aug 28 22:07:20 and congrats about notify-sv Aug 28 22:07:23 * freemangordon chechs Aug 28 22:07:27 *checks Aug 28 22:07:47 You should commit what you have so far for hildon-plugins-notify-sv to git just in case something happens (e.g. random hardware failure) Aug 28 22:07:54 I always commit WIP things to git for that reason Aug 28 22:08:48 jonwil: I do as well, but I was not sure I will have success wirh REing this time :) Aug 28 22:08:58 it is not exactly a small lib Aug 28 22:09:15 it totals in ~6100 LOC Aug 28 22:11:04 interesting. Aug 28 22:12:53 TheKit: https://github.com/community-ssu/libplayback/pull/1/commits/fb3724dba2ef9b262111d9cba20b142aa49307e3#diff-b67911656ef5d18c4ae36cb6741b7965R17 Aug 28 22:13:02 version is still 0.0.5 Aug 28 22:13:40 what should it be to produce /usr/lib/libplayback-1.so.0.0.5? Aug 28 22:14:03 hmm, wait, maybe it is my mistake Aug 28 22:14:36 ah, right, I was thinking it is 0.5.0 Aug 28 22:15:24 so it should be OK then, I'll merge it as it is Aug 28 22:15:42 even if there are problems, they should be minor Aug 28 22:15:53 actually one thing: Aug 28 22:16:08 TheKit: https://github.com/community-ssu/libplayback/pull/1/commits/fb3724dba2ef9b262111d9cba20b142aa49307e3#diff-b67911656ef5d18c4ae36cb6741b7965R7 Aug 28 22:16:34 if I read that correctly, there is no way to overwrite CFLAGS from the command line Aug 28 22:16:55 same goes for LDFLAGS Aug 28 22:17:11 hm, it's += Aug 28 22:17:59 yes, so if you have -O0 in CFLAGS in shell, -O2 in Makefile will override it Aug 28 22:18:54 CFLAGS = `pkg-config --cflags $(PKGDEPS)` -fPIC -Wall -O2 -I./include $(CFLAGS) Aug 28 22:18:59 should it be like this then? Aug 28 22:19:17 I guess yes Aug 28 22:21:07 https://github.com/community-ssu/osso-bookmark-engine/blob/master/Makefile - based on this one actually Aug 28 22:22:33 freemangordon: once you finish hildon-plugins-notify-sv, you got any other things you plan to work on? Aug 28 22:24:22 jonwil: it was part of fremantle porting to devuan, so I will continue with that Aug 28 22:24:34 TheKit: ah, I see, it should be fixed as well Aug 28 22:25:14 pushed changes Aug 28 22:25:40 thanks, will merge it tomorrow, it is too late noe nad I need some sleep :) Aug 28 22:26:06 you can judge by my typing skills I guess :D Aug 28 22:26:45 night Aug 28 22:26:52 good night Aug 28 22:27:38 I can merge it if its good to go :) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Aug 29 03:00:00 2017
