Jan 31 09:30:56 What sort of download speeds should I expect from py-bittorent? Are there any recommended settings to optimise it for the NLSU2? Jan 31 10:13:50 hmm anyone know the max/expected transfer speed you can get from the nslu2 (via a USB2 Disk) Jan 31 10:39:18 FB[i], http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Info/Performance Jan 31 10:40:48 tnx Jan 31 10:41:00 think I got some problems with speed Jan 31 12:08:27 Hello. I know this is a firmware development channel .. but I cannot find a soultion googling. How do I access/configure my Linksys BEFW11S4 when Im using it as a switch? Jan 31 12:08:39 you guys know about linksys routers prolly :) Jan 31 13:47:29 en /j ubuntu Jan 31 13:52:30 anyone know why the drive on port 2 is /share/flash/ ? i.e. why flash vs. hdd2 or some such? Jan 31 13:53:56 imho, per definition from linksys, port 1 is the hdd, port 2 the flash (mem-stick eg) Jan 31 13:54:17 ok, i was just curious. :-) Jan 31 14:25:27 hi Jan 31 14:26:02 morning... Jan 31 14:26:36 i know this isn't the correct channel for the WET54GS5, but was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction...? Jan 31 14:29:20 Hi, can someone give me a hand troubleshooting a Woxter 40GB disk connected to NSLU2 with unslung. No Disk1 light, no way to make it work Jan 31 14:30:14 then it maybe, that the enclosure/disk combination is incompatible... but it works on a linux/win box? Jan 31 14:30:42 yes, it works on Windows and Linux (RH9) Jan 31 14:31:03 hm, 40gb sound like 2.5".. is it usb powered, or self powered Jan 31 14:31:23 its USB powered and yes, its a 2,5" disk Jan 31 14:31:58 then it may be, that the nslu couldn't deliver the needed power Jan 31 14:33:02 I have another disk (3,5 same brand) and with that disk you can hear that it stops spinning, but with thisone it seems like it's running Jan 31 14:33:12 but, of course, that culd be a problem, Jan 31 14:33:33 Is it possible to change de power supply to make the NSLU power the disk?? Jan 31 14:33:48 imho, not Jan 31 14:34:52 I'll try a USB powered hub to see if it works Jan 31 14:35:02 thx very much for your help. Jan 31 14:35:23 np Jan 31 14:38:00 hi fellows Jan 31 14:39:53 lol i got the sollution i think when i typed it in. sorry Jan 31 14:40:39 rebooting the slug again Jan 31 18:03:15 hi Caplink811 Jan 31 18:03:29 It is unsling :) finally :) Jan 31 18:03:37 # df Jan 31 18:03:37 Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on Jan 31 18:03:37 rootfs 195843204 50176 193803380 0% / Jan 31 18:03:37 /dev/sda1 6528 5328 1200 82% /initrd Jan 31 18:03:37 /dev/sda1 195843204 50176 193803380 0% / Jan 31 18:03:38 /dev/sda1 195843204 50176 193803380 0% /share/hdd/data Jan 31 18:03:40 /dev/sda2 116661 40803 74654 35% /share/hdd/conf Jan 31 19:50:58 I am well and truly frustrated. I could format and mount my flash drive with v63 of the firmware. I then formatted my flash drive and then unslung to disk1. I decided that I should unsling to disk 2 so that I could mount ntfs on disk one. I installed uNSLUng 5.5, now it doesn't recognize my flash drive. Is there a way to format a flash drive with uNSLUng 5.5 or do I have to reflash with the oem firmware, format and then reflash t Jan 31 20:11:40 flashing proms always makes me anxious for some reason. Jan 31 20:13:31 hi astroid Jan 31 20:14:09 are you there ? Jan 31 20:15:04 i am here Jan 31 20:16:19 The hard disk are formated in ext3 or NTFS ? Jan 31 20:18:04 can you see this http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/FAQ/DiskNotRecognized Jan 31 20:18:08 I don't understand the question. uNSLUng native format is ext3. My disk maxtor is NTFS and my flash drive is about to be ext3. Jan 31 20:18:26 thanks for the link. Jan 31 20:18:35 but with unslung you will not see the ntfs disk Jan 31 20:18:47 since unslung 5.5 is based on v23r29 Jan 31 20:19:05 and the NFTS is only with version v23R63 Jan 31 20:20:46 I realized that half way through :). 6.0 will be based on 63 but I will have to set up a linux install to compile it. will "ipkg install ufsd" http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/FAQ/NTFS allow me to mount ntfs rw? Jan 31 20:21:01 on uNSLUng 5.5? Jan 31 20:25:37 i.e > ipkg install ufsd Jan 31 20:25:37 insmod /lib/modules/ufsd.o Jan 31 20:25:37 mount -t ufsd.o -o rw,uid=501,gid=501, /dev/sdb1 /share/hdd/data Jan 31 20:25:59 where uid/gid is guest Jan 31 20:27:51 ok ... Jan 31 20:28:08 so no more ideas ... Jan 31 20:28:33 yesterday i have follow the procedure in the link and it works Jan 31 20:28:47 time to sleep 03:20 am Jan 31 20:28:49 see you Jan 31 20:28:52 nite Jan 31 20:51:14 Anyone available to give a little advice on mirroring disk1 to disk2? Jan 31 20:52:15 no advice but have a link - http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/Raid1onUnslung5 Jan 31 20:52:40 * eikenberry checks out link. Jan 31 20:53:42 Hmm... I was thinking something a little simpler, more manual. Maybe using rsync. But I was unsure if disk2 would be bootable after. Jan 31 20:54:02 bootable/could replace disk1 in case of failure. Jan 31 20:57:08 it says the root file system is synced with which suggest bootable on either drive. Jan 31 20:57:54 "it says"? You mean the raid howto or something else? Jan 31 20:58:22 yes the raidhowto. Jan 31 20:59:41 * eikenberry nods. I currently use raid1 on my workstation and have found it (over the years) to be a bit of a pain. Ie. I was looking for something other than raid1 Jan 31 20:59:44 . Jan 31 21:00:08 Thanks though. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Feb 01 02:59:59 2006
