**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Jun 03 02:59:56 2006 Jun 03 09:37:42 hi i got a question. I have 3 disk with picturrs on them totaling 900 gb. I want to sahre them on the nework with a NSLu2. But when i connect even one disk it just ratels a lot , like it's searching for something. Mind that on one disk there are over one million files. Is the NSLU2 making a index file??? or is it the standard 30 times mount checkdisk? Jun 03 15:08:44 hello Jun 03 15:09:18 anybody here can help me build debianslug image on colinux running debian? Jun 03 15:11:10 the build fails every time while building package 'linux-libc-headers-2.6.11.1' with some stupid cp error Jun 03 21:16:51 Morning all :) Jun 03 21:21:15 morning Jun 03 21:23:32 Everything ok in this room..it has been a long time that i read here Jun 03 21:27:20 not much activity lately Jun 03 21:27:50 it's becoming summer ;) Jun 03 21:27:56 so? ;) Jun 03 21:28:24 are they going to ditch their cute little slugs for the summer? ;-o Jun 03 21:28:26 most ppl prefer beeing outside ;) Jun 03 21:29:11 24/7? Jun 03 21:30:45 sure, there's always sunshine somewhere around the world Jun 03 21:31:46 gives a whole new meaning for "catching some sun"... Jun 03 21:32:29 Yes it is true but where is the summer ..still worse weather here Jun 03 21:32:51 but it's getting better, 18°C Jun 03 21:33:53 Dont know today it was beter.. i hope tomorow too so i can go to the zoo with the kids Jun 03 21:35:56 windows isn't going to make this easy for me - trying to split my partition (which they had defined as one at the service) but windows wants to stash something at the very end :-\ Jun 03 21:37:51 So it is easer for e new Harddisk in your pc :) Jun 03 21:38:04 hm? Jun 03 21:40:16 you mean add another one on the side? Jun 03 21:41:58 yes Jun 03 21:42:36 well, this is laptop :P and besides I think 90+GB is a bit too much for a system partition Jun 03 21:43:43 Yes that is true..but can partition magic not do the job for you ? Jun 03 21:45:14 you missed the point here - hard to split when there's still some apparently crucial system data at the very end of the partition (after defrag) Jun 03 21:47:24 ...or not. hard to say. Jun 03 21:48:13 phew these modern laptops get bit hard for the groin area.. Jun 03 21:56:43 Yes but is the data at the end a problem for partition magic ? he wil move it to the front of the disk or not ? Jun 03 21:57:07 I'm not sure partition magic offers such feature Jun 03 21:57:46 are you sure? or just guessing? Jun 03 21:57:48 I think it is avant .. Jun 03 21:58:00 and i had never problems with it.. Jun 03 21:58:24 But when i work on partitions i always backup first personal stuff Jun 04 02:27:47 anyway care to help a linux newb? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Jun 04 02:59:56 2006
