**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sun Apr 08 02:59:57 2007 Apr 08 06:40:07 wow. just completed a debian etch installation on NSLU2 . it went without a hitch Apr 08 06:40:20 kudos to the developers Apr 08 08:56:41 am I missing something painfully obvious or is there a reason /var/log/messages just seems to be filling with "do read capacity!!!" using unslung? Apr 08 10:43:04 having problems installing debian on an nslu2 using a 2GB usb stick. I cant partition the pen drive properly within the installer, so I partitioned it on a different linux machine but the installer does not seem to be able to see the partitions. Does anyone have any advice? Apr 08 10:45:41 Did you load all the necessary extra tools on the first screen of the installer? Apr 08 10:49:00 I think so, I followed the instructions from here -> http://www.cyrius.com/debian/nslu2/install.html Apr 08 10:50:40 Did you go down the list and press space or whatever to select Apr 08 10:50:41 ext3-modules-2.6.18-4-ixp4xx-di: EXT3 filesystem support Apr 08 10:50:41 partman-auto: Automatically partition storage devices (partman) Apr 08 10:50:41 partman-ext3: Add to partman support for ext3 Apr 08 10:50:41 scsi-core-modules-2.6.18-4-ixp4xx-di: Core SCSI subsystem Apr 08 10:50:41 usb-storage-modules-2.6.18-4-ixp4xx-di: USB storage support Apr 08 10:51:15 yes Apr 08 10:51:38 it grabs all the stuff it needs, I get a warning from GNU partman about the usb disk being over 2gb Apr 08 10:52:06 then it cant see the partitions, and the pen drive only shows up as being around 500 MB Apr 08 10:53:43 when I select 'manual partition' and tell it to use the existing partitions on the pen drive, it says 'no root partition defined' Apr 08 11:29:26 <^IcE-bOy^> hi Apr 08 11:29:43 <^IcE-bOy^> is possible to shut down a USB port ? Apr 08 11:30:25 <^IcE-bOy^> i have a media HD for watch films on TV, but when is usb connected (not necesary mounted, only connected) doesn't work Apr 08 21:48:07 Hello, I want to use asterisk on my nslu2. My question is whether the needed drivers are included in the kernel? I am reading this wiki page: http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/OpenSlug/Asterisk and there is written that CONFIG_ISDN is not enabled. Did this change? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon Apr 09 02:59:56 2007
