**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sun May 27 02:59:56 2007 May 27 16:25:10 Hi guys. Has anyone using Debian on the NSLU2 tried to install Jabber? I can't get it to work and I was reading that there was a bug in the install. Has anyone been through this and managed to find a workaround? I can't find one anywhere. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me. May 27 16:41:56 im running debian, but havent bothered with jabber May 27 16:45:11 Supposedly some bug with it running on the arm processor. Just wondering if anyone had been through the same thing. Thanks for responding. May 27 18:30:33 I've been using a slug for a while runing unslung, but want to set up a raid system, I know raid 1 and raid 0 are supported, what I'd really like May 27 18:30:54 to do is set up raid 1+0, does anyone know if this is possible ? May 27 18:34:22 So your after 4 disks NSLU2-IRC? May 27 18:34:27 Also, can you please change your name May 27 18:35:39 nick mpardoe May 27 18:36:55 You should be able to do 4 disks... you'd need a usb hub i suppose May 27 18:46:41 I wonder if you need special kernel support to get raid 1+0 May 27 18:46:53 or is it already required to compile a custom kernel for raid 1 or raid 0 ? May 27 18:47:06 oh, he quit already May 27 18:47:07 hmm May 27 18:47:10 yeah May 27 18:47:16 i know hteres raid 0/1 packages... May 27 22:32:21 is my understanding correct that the stock firmware for the nslu is not going to backup all the files from the root of a given drive? i understand that it wont touch "$*$" files. i was really hopeing that i could find a workaround that would keep me from having to use backup software on each machine. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon May 28 02:59:56 2007
