**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Jun 13 02:59:57 2007 Jun 13 06:25:47 does unlsung have any shadow files for setting up user accounts with no login? Jun 13 11:54:06 anyone here that runs rtorrent? Jun 13 12:03:02 I do :-) Jun 13 13:21:20 Lunar_Lamp, I have changed the port attribute Jun 13 13:21:25 in the conf file Jun 13 13:21:39 but it does not make any changer Jun 13 13:22:26 uses one of the default port anyway Jun 13 13:22:27 [Throttle off/off KB] [Rate 0.0/ 0.0 KB] [Port: 6921] [U 0/0] [D 0/0] [H 0/32] [S 0/1/768] [F 0/128] Jun 13 14:12:13 bad-h, I presume you restarted rtorrent? Jun 13 14:12:19 Which conf file? Jun 13 14:12:44 Do you also have an ~/.rtorrent.rc file? (not sure if the rc is there or nto() Jun 13 15:38:43 hi all, I have a drive not recognized an don't know what to do Jun 14 00:17:04 Can any1 tell me if there is a shadow file for user accounts used to run services only and do not need password on unslung? Jun 14 00:23:25 any1? Jun 14 00:23:57 usually, there is a 'shadow' file, but doing 'find / -name shadow' yields nothing Jun 14 00:25:48 That pretty much answers the question -- there is no shadow file on unslung. Jun 14 00:26:28 The shadow file on Linux is used for passwords; all accounts (even accounts for services only) need entries in /etc/passwd. Jun 14 00:27:55 If you examine the existing passwd file, you'll see that all the system accounts are in there -- just duplicate that *style* of entry (make sure the id and uids are unique, though!) Jun 14 00:30:21 mwester-road: good idea... did not think of copying. Jun 14 00:31:26 Use care when copying, and use a Linux reference so that you know what the fields do -- messing with the passwd file is one of the ways to render your NSLU2 unbootable. Jun 14 00:34:24 mwester-road: thanks! **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Jun 14 02:59:57 2007
