**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Thu May 08 02:59:57 2008 May 08 04:07:31 linooox May 08 07:14:36 I finally got my nslu2 up and going:) May 08 07:19:58 awesome May 08 07:20:15 what are you going to use it for? May 08 20:59:34 I'm running Debian on my slug - I recompiled the kernel to include some kernel modules, and restarted. May 08 20:59:38 It appears to come up fine (the lights on the front are all OK) but there's no network connectivity to it at all... I'm guessing I didn't include the NPE microcode stuff :-/ May 08 21:00:08 my question is, what did I miss? the instructions on the wiki only talk about the microcode in terms of the installer May 08 21:00:10 not the kernel May 08 21:27:19 what's the best way to play mp3 files stored on the debian slug over the internet in winamp / amarok / ... ? May 08 21:37:05 currently i think edna ( http://edna.sourceforge.net/ ) is a good solution, what do you think? May 08 21:47:22 gn8 May 09 00:38:49 how should I go about converting my slugos-nslu2 into a debian one? I fianlly got a memstick so I've got room for a full debian install now May 09 01:14:10 anyone? no? May 09 01:16:54 pjz: Not sure what you're asking. Just follow the instructions to flash debian and do a new install. May 09 01:17:50 there's instructions on how to flash it under slugos (instead of under the linuxsys firmware) ? May 09 01:19:27 The instructions to reflash are not sensitive to the firmware installed (only Linksys has a web gui, and that doesn't always work); see the wiki for the details. May 09 01:20:10 Start with the "using the reset button to enter upgrade mode" instructions, then use upslug2 or the windows ugutil to send the firmware to the NSLU2 May 09 01:22:52 I see, okay, thanks **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri May 09 02:59:56 2008
