Oct 07 23:50:45 hi Oct 07 23:51:01 why has my web gui messed up? Oct 07 23:51:28 all it shows is browse files. Oct 07 23:52:47 if i click on home or password or something like that it says The requested URL was not found on this server. Oct 07 23:58:08 heh Oct 07 23:58:12 well what did you do to it Oct 07 23:58:50 nothing Oct 07 23:59:07 I just turned it on when i got home and it was like that Oct 08 00:00:10 im searching the site for a fix but cant find one Oct 08 00:08:12 arthur92710 Oct 08 00:08:14 if you just got it Oct 08 00:08:21 I'd suggest just reinstalling the firmware on it Oct 08 00:08:42 what do you mean just got it? Oct 08 00:08:48 the slug? Oct 08 00:08:51 yea Oct 08 00:08:58 Iv had it for about a month no Oct 08 00:09:01 now Oct 08 00:09:24 do you have the orginal firmware on it? Oct 08 00:10:48 no Oct 08 00:10:51 unslung Oct 08 00:11:08 V2.3R63 Oct 08 00:15:28 what should I do? Oct 08 00:15:56 If I re-unsling it what will happen? Oct 08 00:40:20 uhh sorry whats the command to unsling? Oct 08 00:45:02 unsling disk2 Oct 08 00:45:05 or 1 Oct 08 00:52:05 well i guess i have to format the disk, its ok, its just the 10gb disk, nothing important, except settings Oct 08 01:17:51 the web gui does not format the disk, how do I do it? Oct 08 01:20:02 arthur92710: I'm pretty sure that is on the wiki... Oct 08 01:21:02 in order to reformat the disk if the linksys nslu2 won't do it, you need to put the disk on another system, and repartition and format it back to a single-partition disk, with either NTFS or FAT on it -- that way Linksys will recoognize it as a normal disk/usb stick and reformat it. Oct 08 01:22:02 ugh Oct 08 01:22:14 do I have to disconect it? Oct 08 01:23:50 Dunno how you would plug the disk into another system to reformat it without unplugging it... Oct 08 01:25:20 cant i do it with the slug? Oct 08 01:26:09 Maybe the wiki has some info on how to do that -- look for info on fdisk and mkfs Oct 08 01:27:23 why can't you disconnect it Oct 08 01:27:42 its not usb powered Oct 08 01:28:12 its has a power supply Oct 08 01:28:49 I don't get it Oct 08 01:28:49 cant find much on fdisk and mkfs Oct 08 01:29:27 its in a pc case with harddrives and a pc power supply. Oct 08 01:29:42 what is Oct 08 01:31:53 arthur92710, if I'm having a hard time visualizing your setup it's because you're having a hard time describing it Oct 08 02:49:34 how do i delete a file in telnet? Whats the command? Oct 08 02:51:53 telnet is just a network connection to a login session on the remote system; use the command to delete files suitable for that remote system. (in the case of the NSLU2, it's a Linux command shell, the command is "rm " for "remove" I presume) Oct 08 02:52:04 Use it with caution, of course :) Oct 08 02:57:56 nvm about that, I formated the harddrive Oct 08 02:58:18 but now the web gui is asking for a password Oct 08 02:58:24 so i out it in Oct 08 02:58:29 put* Oct 08 02:58:39 but it does not go Oct 08 02:58:42 admin admin Oct 08 02:58:45 ?? Oct 08 02:59:04 lets try a reboot? Oct 08 02:59:16 and clear your browser's cache and credentials Oct 08 02:59:22 ok **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Oct 08 02:59:57 2008
