**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Thu Jan 08 02:59:57 2009 Jan 08 09:58:19 using Unslung v.6, how can i manually enable telnet? Going to the "manage telnet" link on the web gui produces a blank page... why is that? Jan 08 10:00:05 Anyone awake? Jan 08 13:07:19 hi all, i'm trying to find the passwd utility for optware but it doesn't seems to be available anywhere. Jan 08 13:07:49 i've tried "ipkg-opt install base-passwd" Jan 08 13:08:07 any suggestions ? Jan 08 13:39:24 hello ? Jan 08 18:11:28 mwester: I think opkg or SlugOS 5.2-alpha is messed up, I can't install any ipks(repo-built, custom-built) that are stored locally Jan 08 18:32:21 mwester: installing ipkgs that are fetched through opkg from the repo work though, but when i download those ipkgs locally and try to install them, they won't install and give me the 'no Arcitecture defined' error Jan 08 20:29:24 #/win 2 Jan 08 20:53:22 Lunar :( Jan 09 01:55:37 I have a problem setting up rtorrent on my slugOS/BE, can someone help me? Jan 09 01:55:50 It was not in the 4.8 cross repository, so I changed it for the unstable one. I installed rtorrent and all its dependencies, and when I try to run it, it prints: Error opening terminal: rxvt. Jan 09 01:55:58 I tried changing the TERM variable, I tried in screen, but nothing Jan 09 02:41:15 scant: we switched to EABI; did you completely destroy your tmpdir, and rebuild from scratch? Jan 09 02:42:02 Otherwise I have no idea what the problem is; if it cropped up recently in some OE commit then I've not yet encountered it. Lack of time is a bit of a problem right now... Jan 09 02:43:43 I just talked to the devellopers and they told me I used a repo reserved for the next version of SlugOS. I will try finding another way. Jan 09 02:45:13 mwester: i deleted slugos/tmp on the build machine Jan 09 02:47:27 mwester: i'm also getting this opkg msg: "file_move: ERROR: failed to rename //usr/lib/opkg/status.tmp to //usr/lib/opkg/status: No such file or directory" Jan 09 02:49:42 The file_move error can be safely ignored. Jan 09 02:50:29 cool Jan 09 02:51:24 You'll have to tear apart a failing ipk file to see how it differs from an older version -- is the arch as defined in the ipk broken, or is opkg that reads the ipk broken? Then from that you'll need to fix either opkg on SlugOS, or figure out what's broken in your build env that generates broken packages -- but you'll need to better define the problem in order to get further on this issue. Jan 09 02:52:36 mwester: my opkg issues arises even with packages downloaded from the feed Jan 09 02:53:38 mwester: opkg will install ipkgs it finds in the feed w/o error, but if i download the ipkg file and try to install it, it gives me the error Jan 09 02:57:02 mwester: i've looked at the control file that's contained within the ipkg file and it contains an architecture of armv5teb Jan 09 02:59:35 i've also encoutered this issue as well, http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/nslu2-linux/message/22286 **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri Jan 09 02:59:57 2009
