**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Thu May 21 02:59:57 2009 May 21 10:35:29 hey guys May 21 10:35:38 i have an unslung nslu2 May 21 10:36:17 every so often it seems to turn itself off (or it could be one of my dodgy housemates doing it!) May 21 10:37:00 is there any log file i can look at or logging i can turn on that would tell me why it shutdown last or what happened just before it shutdown ? May 21 10:39:40 wow no one here huh ? May 21 13:17:52 Any idea why upslug2 of an openwrt-8.09-nslu2-squashfs.bin fails to boot, while doing the same for an openwrt-kamikaze-7.09-nslu2.bin do work fine ? May 21 13:18:21 symptoms is that the kernel seems to be booting, all leds including USB devices flashes May 21 13:18:46 but the box seems to shutoff and only the thernet led stay on, unping'able May 21 13:19:31 same symptoms with http://downloads.openwrt.org/kamikaze/8.09/ixp4xx/openwrt-nslu2-squashfs.bin or with my own rebuild May 21 13:35:57 epscylonb_, look into syslog-ng to remotely log the system messages, or even netconsole to send the kernel messages (such as a crash caused by a panic) to a remote system. Both should be documented on the wiki. May 21 13:55:25 okay like everybody else I have been fooled by the network change May 21 13:56:19 editing package/base-files/files/etc/config/network rebuild, update and no problem May 21 14:41:42 lapa cekpik **** ENDING LOGGING AT Fri May 22 02:59:57 2009
