**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Sep 18 02:59:56 2009 Sep 18 09:58:43 hi guys, i wrote some days ago about performance issues on my slug with a 8gb stick Sep 18 09:58:56 now i reinstalled debian on an other stick Sep 18 09:59:08 and - tatttaaa - everything is running fast Sep 18 09:59:55 but i don't know why the stick was so slow Sep 18 10:00:36 after killing the debian stuff, I made a new fs under gentoo and the stick is running fast Sep 18 10:00:50 (dd op results in 6MB/s) Sep 18 10:01:19 the slug debian installer did the partitioning for me, anyone an idea what this could be? Sep 18 10:02:31 with a( time dd if=/dev/zero of=test.dat bs=1024k count=128 ) i got 1,5mb/s, the command needed about 2 minutes to finish on the slug with this stick Sep 18 22:31:48 anyone active here? **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Sep 19 02:59:58 2009
