**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Dec 13 02:59:58 2014 Dec 13 04:52:14 DrJ...thanks. Have old version installed, just wasn't sure if I could upgrade. I know NSLU2 is getting old and slow. Only thing I'm trying to get it up to do is host a USB Serial port and run bottlerocket to control X10 devices (which is just my christmas tree). Dec 13 04:52:33 :) Dec 13 04:52:49 I still have my nslu2 just for old time sakes Dec 13 04:53:05 many many fun hours/day spent with it in the past Dec 13 04:53:25 The last few years I would dig out my X10 stuffs and use it with our tree and plug the firecracker serial controller into my server. Decided the server was using too much electricity and my desktop could handle it's load, so away it went. Dec 13 04:54:15 I had the server hosting a small PHP page with the ability to send commands to bottlerocket. I'm trying to get similar functionality set up on the NSLU2. I figured it could handle that much so I dusted it off. Dec 13 04:54:52 got bottlerocket working and can control the tree by command line (I'm such a geek) so far...now I just need a new web interface unless I can get PHP running Dec 13 04:56:02 then I found there's a heyu package for openwrt and promptly smacked my head into the desk after an hour or more trying to cross compile bottlerocket. got it working...THEN found the heyu package...go figure. Dec 13 05:00:04 my NSLU2 got shelved years ago. Was working on the USB Device side hack. Wanted to set up a system where I could have it mount ISOs for file-backed storage device. Wanted it to look like a CD/DVD-ROM device to a PC so I could select different bootable media, hook it up, and boot from it. Dec 13 05:00:09 never did get it to work **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sun Dec 14 02:59:58 2014
