Feb 21 21:24:15 I could do it 2 days ago, but not today Feb 21 21:24:50 happens immediately when doing a make slugosbe-image and yet the make update that I did right before finished with no errors Feb 21 21:26:32 I did some web surfing to see if I could figure out what caused it and only thing that came up was perhaps a problem with the monotone db... so for now I'm regenerating the cache just to see if that will do anything (sloooooo process) Feb 21 22:58:19 aadamson: it's never a problem with the monotone db - it's always just a problem that OE is a moving target so things get broken by other people Feb 21 23:10:50 rwhitby: thanks, yes I totally understand... one another topic. I can't seem to update via the ipkg stuff on the 4.9 version. Actually, i can update, I can't upgrade as there is a conflict with tinylogin and busybox. Did the later in it's latest version replace the need for tiny? I've held off just replacing the image on that test slug until I got down the road and have been updating if via ipkg Feb 21 23:11:27 there was talk about that on the OE mailing list. I guess it went through. Pity they didn't do it in an upgradeable way :-( Feb 21 23:11:56 You can do a -force-depends or something like that ... Feb 21 23:12:03 (just do a flash backup before you start) Feb 21 23:12:13 (or a disk backup if you've turned up already) Feb 21 23:12:58 well, because it's basically a scratch unit, I'll probably just try the -force-depends... guess i'll go look at the maillist first to see what was discussed. Thanks Feb 21 23:14:08 aadamson: join #oe - I'm asking mickey now Feb 21 23:14:12 k Feb 21 23:20:56 rwhitby: thanks bunches... we'll see what a few days bring :) Feb 21 23:24:37 always good to talk directly to the source :-) Feb 21 23:25:26 yep, I'd say so... thanks again...
