Does that mean that the kernel version was floating and hence not fixed at that point? Aug 06 23:33:16 yes Aug 06 23:34:09 rwhitby: So the best way to remedy that versioning issue would be to flash a stable release then, I take it... Aug 06 23:34:17 yes Aug 06 23:34:37 rwhitby: Thanks :) Aug 06 23:34:53 we support N and N-1 stable releases Aug 06 23:35:11 * abraxa_ nods Aug 06 23:36:06 and you can build most historical releases using the releases targets in the master makefile (which builds them from our svn stable release repos rather than the monotone repo) Aug 06 23:41:00 rwhitby: Yeah. I tried building the kernel using OE by editing the bb recipe to match the kernel version / SVN revision with the one I have installed, and that worked. Only funny thing is that the modules I created that way still ended up having a different versioning string. They work when I force to load them, though. I just thought there'd be a better way but I guess I asked for trouble when installing the beta :) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Aug 07 02:59:57 2008
