**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Wed Oct 10 02:59:58 2012 Oct 10 06:34:55 Hello everybody Oct 10 06:37:13 Hi guys, I've got a problem. I've created a working Angstrom distirbution o partition A. After a while I was looking for the kernel sources but couldn't find them. Eventually I figured out I had to disable rm_work option. Then I ran out of space on partition A. So I've tried to do every step again on partition B. But some how it keeps refering to partion A. Does anyone know how to build Angstrom again on a different partition? Thanks Oct 10 06:40:09 how do i tell oe-core to not download a source package but use the exisiting one .. oe-classic was happy when i provided the source.tar.bz2 and its md5sum file Oct 10 08:04:41 rob_w: maybe the .done file? Oct 10 08:04:52 morning all Oct 10 08:08:10 bluelightning, I have this packages in deploy: Oct 10 08:08:57 qdbusnetworkmanager-dbg_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp.ipk qdbusnetworkmanager-dev_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp.ipk Oct 10 08:09:19 qtcardiopad-dbg_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp.ipk qtcardiopad-dev_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp.ipk Oct 10 08:09:48 ok, so neither of the packages were actually produced then, those are only the dev and dbg packages Oct 10 08:15:07 bluelightning, for the Qdbus is ok so, because I want only lybrary Oct 10 08:15:10 bluelightning, for the Qdbus is ok so, because I want only liubrary Oct 10 08:15:31 bluelightning, for the Qdbus is ok so, because I want only dynamic library Oct 10 08:16:43 silvio_: yes, but the library should be in the main package, so it should not be empty Oct 10 08:16:51 ok Oct 10 08:34:40 I hate libav recipe Oct 10 09:02:42 good morning Oct 10 09:54:58 gm Oct 10 09:55:28 hi mckoan Oct 10 09:58:04 hi silvio_, all Oct 10 11:29:47 hi all Oct 10 12:19:44 hi pb_ Oct 10 12:59:17 bluelightning, I have all the packages (), but still have errors in the image creation: qdbusnetworkmanager-staticdev_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp qdbusnetworkmanager-dev_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp qdbusnetworkmanager-dev_1.0-r0_armv7a-vfp.ipk Oct 10 12:59:44 silvio_: no, you still do not have a main qdbusnetworkmanager package Oct 10 15:16:09 amount of rebuilds in OE can sometimes be insane Oct 10 15:16:34 agreed Oct 10 15:16:38 I changed autotools.bbclass and 'bitbake slang' == 871 tasks involving rebuild of many packages Oct 10 15:16:42 seems like every time i pull even natives are being rebuilt Oct 10 15:16:46 for no apparent reason Oct 10 15:17:07 kergoth: try using gcc following svn head... Oct 10 15:17:24 kergoth: and in a middle of day you get one commit there... Oct 10 15:17:51 i'm tempted to stop using basichash for development, and use it just for release/jenkins or whatever, where the slight possibility of breakage would be more of a concern Oct 10 15:18:05 the solution is, don't expect to build against a development branch and pull while you're in the middle of developing something, surely... Oct 10 15:18:23 whether i'm in the middle or not, waiting another hour is stupid Oct 10 15:18:35 we do have the means to tune the signature generation however Oct 10 15:18:38 bluelightning: problem is I need those fixes Oct 10 15:19:41 the trouble is, and I'm sure this is pretty obvious, but the build system cannot intrinsically determine if a fix to autoconf for example would actually require everything using autoconf to be rebuilt or not Oct 10 15:19:47 not the way the system currently works anyway Oct 10 15:20:08 anyway -b exists for such case ;D Oct 10 15:20:29 tomorrow morning I will switch gcc again anyway so new fresh build Oct 10 15:20:42 either it must assumes that a rebuild is always necessary (i.e. include it in the hash) or it is never necessary (i.e. don't include it) Oct 10 15:50:32 bluelightning: it might be interesting to see how Gentoo's revdep-rebuild judges such cases Oct 10 16:30:57 bb Oct 10 17:08:36 hi Oct 10 17:15:32 whats the deal with meta-oe denzil branch and indentation errors ? Oct 10 17:17:11 rob_w: are you using denzil of OE-Core and meta-oe together? Oct 10 17:17:27 yes Oct 10 17:17:45 hmm, I wouldn't expect to see any then... Oct 10 17:20:10 bluelightning, that was my repo default.xml which broke parsing in some pidgin.inc and more <- https://github.com/rob-w/mibtec-bsp-platform/blob/denzil/default.xml Oct 10 17:20:36 so then i go back searching in my stuff ... Oct 10 17:23:33 rob_w: right, you have master there for poky Oct 10 17:26:42 return (TRUE) Oct 10 17:26:51 * rob_w retrying Oct 10 17:58:07 bluelightning, one beer for you , thanks Oct 10 18:07:00 rob_w: glad I could help :) Oct 10 18:07:09 bbl Oct 10 18:27:25 beer? where? Oct 10 18:32:05 each hint to rob_w is worth a beer ! Oct 10 18:32:21 the least ! **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Oct 11 02:59:58 2012
