**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Jan 18 02:59:57 2019 Jan 18 03:06:02 pantheon is pretty neat ElementaryOS uses it as default Jan 18 12:13:39 Hi, is there an easy or automated way how to determine why sstate mirror cache on our build isn't used? I've been using bitbake-diffsigs and manually downloaded stuff from sstate mirror so far. Jan 18 14:46:49 tnovotny: not really. if you have its contents locally, you can use bitbake -S printdiff to compare current to the closest match in SSTATE_DIR, but obviously there's not much it can do with a remote mirror, it checks for the existence of the path it needs, and if it's not on the mirror, it can't use it Jan 18 15:04:59 kergoth: thanks for pointing to "bitbake -S printdiff". I just tried on some local stuff and I see something already. Jan 18 15:49:48 nice. no problem, it's a useful command Jan 18 15:50:00 iirc diffsigs nowadays can do similar stuff, but i think that's only current master Jan 18 15:50:32 printdiff will check both sigdata/siginfo in stamps, i.e. to check changes from one bitbake to the next, as well as checking sstate_dir for existing archvies Jan 18 15:50:50 sometimes i'd like a second one to check stamps only.. should probably add a command for that at some point Jan 18 15:51:51 btw what do you mean 'diffsigs' in current master? Some tool, lib function? Jan 18 15:52:20 bitbake-diffsigs, the command you mentioned. i think there've been some recent work on it, but not sure if it was merged. just going by what i saw on the mailing lists recently Jan 18 15:52:31 and using my admittedly flawed memory, so.. :) Jan 18 15:52:56 ok, thanks, I missed that there was some improvement. Also good to know. Jan 18 15:53:23 that's great tool anyway ;-) **** ENDING LOGGING AT Sat Jan 19 02:59:56 2019
