We'll arrive in Paris on the 25th Jul 10 11:28:51 perhaps we can talk about it then Jul 10 11:28:58 mickeyl: it's not short at all Jul 10 11:29:00 it's an idea Jul 10 11:29:02 We have all the time we need Jul 10 11:29:40 Ainulindale: $ opkg install pyphonelog Package pyphonelog (0.16.3-r0) installed in root is up to date. Jul 10 11:30:01 tasn2: did you bump rev? Jul 10 11:30:08 yay? Jul 10 11:30:10 isn't pyphonelog autoreved? Jul 10 11:30:23 How could it be? Jul 10 11:30:27 You specified a revision Jul 10 11:30:30 Not a gitrev Jul 10 11:30:54 I clearly remember mrmoku told me it's autoreved! Jul 10 11:31:05 ptitjes: you got nothing in last nights image :) Jul 10 11:31:18 Ainulindale: ffs Jul 10 11:31:42 tasn2: it's not autoreved Jul 10 11:32:03 Ainulindale: mind fixing it then? (as I don't have OE write access) Jul 10 11:32:06 Or at least Jul 10 11:32:09 Not in the sense you mean Jul 10 11:32:11 That is Jul 10 11:32:15 If you bump gitrev Jul 10 11:32:18 or commit on git Jul 10 11:32:22 PV will stay the same Jul 10 11:32:22 how do i decrease font inpidgin Jul 10 11:32:31 So it won't be upgreadable Jul 10 11:32:35 F4t-Moko1: somewhere in settings :) Jul 10 11:32:42 Ainulindale: mind fixing it? Jul 10 11:32:43 It should depend on gitrev Jul 10 11:32:55 Yeah I will but not now Jul 10 11:33:07 so please manually bump it now Jul 10 11:33:10 and fix it sometime else :) Jul 10 11:33:14 0.17.0 ;] Jul 10 11:33:40 Can't now Jul 10 11:33:49 I will in two minutes Jul 10 11:33:50 Or more Jul 10 11:33:55 or more, lol ;) Jul 10 11:33:57 hehe okie. Jul 10 11:47:02 tasn2: done. Jul 10 11:47:13 Ainulindale: also rebuilt? :) Jul 10 11:47:16 No. Jul 10 11:47:20 * tasn2 is getting greedy Jul 10 11:47:20 :) Jul 10 11:47:24 hehe thanks though. Jul 10 11:47:48 Ainulindale: just to make sure, did you manually rev it or added git autorev? Jul 10 11:48:33 git autorev Jul 10 11:49:04 ok back to this one... Jul 10 11:49:29 anyway, is there an opera browser for the moko? Jul 10 11:50:02 Ainulindale: oh, sweet, thanks. :) Jul 10 11:50:07 F4t: not that I know of Jul 10 11:50:12 though midori is decent (webkit) Jul 10 11:50:19 and minimo is also ok ;) Jul 10 11:50:29 and once I finished adding rtl support for dillo, it'll also pwn :) Jul 10 11:52:01 midori and minimo are bad... no shrinking of pages etc... Jul 10 11:52:17 there's woosh Jul 10 11:54:00 F4t: you don't need to shrink pages Jul 10 11:54:03 you can just scroll... Jul 10 11:54:06 :) Jul 10 11:54:12 (j/k, I know what you mean) Jul 10 11:55:55 btw I use midori Jul 10 11:55:59 though it's not perfect Jul 10 11:56:13 so I sometimes use minimo... Jul 10 11:58:45 tasn2, yes, using the tiny scroll bar, Jul 10 11:58:54 tiny? Jul 10 11:58:59 are you sure you use shr? Jul 10 11:59:04 cause shr ships with a decent gtk theme Jul 10 11:59:04 scrolling for ages on big pages... Jul 10 11:59:13 oh. Jul 10 11:59:44 no quick zoomout and stuff like in normal mobile phone web browsers Jul 10 12:00:04 this is not a normal mobile phone web browser, it's a desktop web browser :) Jul 10 12:00:12 but I get what you mean Jul 10 12:01:30 We should really do that testing update we talked about. I can't do it all by myself, I already asked for some help and nobody answered Jul 10 12:02:13 testing what? Jul 10 12:02:22 a desktop browser on a mobile device is not so easy to use... need special stuff like scrolling by dragging the page... Jul 10 12:02:41 quick window creation, quick zoomin and out to several different levels Jul 10 12:03:00 right click with holding the finger inplace... Jul 10 12:04:16 F4t: I agree about scrolling by dragging the page, once we manage to compile eve (enltmnt + webkit broweser), we should start thinking about changing the viewport there to a finger scroll supporting viewport Jul 10 12:04:37 actually, same goes for midori and gtk-webkit, we should really think about changing to a finger scrolling supporting viewport Jul 10 12:04:43 that shouldn't be that hard Jul 10 12:05:07 just s/viewport/finger-viewport/g :) Jul 10 12:05:45 better scrolling via gestures Jul 10 12:06:40 tasn2: it's there Jul 10 12:06:49 ipk/armv4t/pyphonelog_0.16.3-gitr63+64ec05e004afe8bc3d738bd9ffda7be126005a6d-r0_armv4t.ipk Jul 10 12:07:40 wheehee :) Jul 10 12:07:40 thanks Jul 10 12:07:51 Gorbusch: no offense Jul 10 12:07:58 but this ideas sucks :)) Jul 10 12:08:08 @tasn2, why? Jul 10 12:08:25 I hate gestures Jul 10 12:08:27 too clumsy Jul 10 12:08:28 :) Jul 10 12:08:42 I'm talking about acclerometers gestures Jul 10 12:09:23 tasn2: wanking gesture is usefull Jul 10 12:09:28 we could have both, and users choice what he use Jul 10 12:09:33 fredrin: :) Jul 10 12:09:51 ;() Jul 10 12:10:16 ptitjes: new pyphnonelog is now in the repos :) Jul 10 12:10:40 a good day to do upgrade to lateste unstable? Jul 10 12:10:57 fredrin: not that good Jul 10 12:11:02 fredrin: an image has been generated yesterday Jul 10 12:11:06 so I think it might be good Jul 10 12:11:12 though I'm too scared to do it myself :) Jul 10 12:11:33 i.e it's never a good day to upgrade unstable :) Jul 10 12:12:16 mmmkay, i b0rked paroli in nand yesterday, so now it's only shr on sd that's is working, so i guess i'll wait untill paroli is working again Jul 10 12:14:47 tasn2: lol Jul 10 12:15:04 DocScrutinizer: you know I'm right ;) Jul 10 12:15:10 yup Jul 10 12:15:15 which reminds me of ticket #545!!! Jul 10 12:15:19 http://shr.bearstech.com/trac/ticket/545 Jul 10 12:15:58 It's easy as hell (implementing it) Jul 10 12:17:30 sounds like a good idea, i like to live between testing/unstable land, since i only have the Neo as phone, it sucks to not hava phone, but then agian i love new stuff, aiiii selfcontrol Jul 10 12:18:11 so far having paroli om2009 in nand and shr-unstable in sd works, Jul 10 12:18:25 not been offline for a good time now Jul 10 12:19:10 fredrin: eaxctly Jul 10 12:20:02 I only use shr :) Jul 10 12:20:09 I don't use nand Jul 10 12:20:27 flashing nand is too time consuming Jul 10 12:20:59 true, but havent flashed nand for a long time, opkg upgrade has been working Jul 10 12:21:08 DocScrutinizer: is it possible that someone will improve echo reduction on the gsm modem sometime soon? Jul 10 12:21:14 fredrin: I c. Jul 10 12:21:15 :) Jul 10 12:21:29 I like my good old 8gb sd :) Jul 10 12:21:40 probably when my phone will get stable enough Jul 10 12:21:47 I'll move to nand for stable Jul 10 12:21:52 and sd for unstable Jul 10 12:21:56 both sharing the same home dir Jul 10 12:21:59 or something like that. Jul 10 12:22:00 sd is faster though, for some strange reason Jul 10 12:22:15 fredrin: yeah, it's a lot faster here as well. Jul 10 12:22:18 tasn2: not beyond finding best AT%N setting Jul 10 12:22:25 DocScrutinizer: ;( Jul 10 12:22:42 DocScrutinizer: are we getting there yet? (finding the best AT%N setting) Jul 10 12:22:52 s/yet/soon/ Jul 10 12:22:52 tasn2 meant: DocScrutinizer: are we getting there soon? (finding the best AT%N setting) Jul 10 12:23:20 no way to ever work on that. DSP code with AEC isn't disclosed to us. Jul 10 12:23:51 (best AT%N) no idea. Jul 10 12:24:30 DocScrutinizer: :( Jul 10 12:24:34 Seems users are reluctant to play with that. Always just adjust statefiles Jul 10 12:24:43 are somebody working on reverse engineering the gsm firmware? Jul 10 12:24:45 I fucking hate stupid GSM Jul 10 12:24:47 and it's stupid NDAs Jul 10 12:24:57 is it possible? Jul 10 12:25:17 DSP code is in rom aiui Jul 10 12:25:29 no way to even reflash a blob Jul 10 12:25:44 fredrin: I think software noise cancalation is the way to go, a lot less time consuming Jul 10 12:26:03 and we don't have source either. for the rest of it we don't need much reverse engineering Jul 10 12:27:19 tasn2: I think optimizing AT%N is a better path to follow, than jumping into sw-dsp Jul 10 12:27:29 DocScrutinizer: of course. Jul 10 12:27:33 I mean if that fails Jul 10 12:27:37 meant* Jul 10 12:27:52 DocScrutinizer: btw, I can change it while in a call, right? Jul 10 12:28:00 and then there's also all the parameters that can be tweaked in user audio tables Jul 10 12:28:03 (using mterm) Jul 10 12:28:10 yup Jul 10 12:28:17 DocScrutinizer: we should try to bruteforce it ;) Jul 10 12:28:20 that's the tale Jul 10 12:28:52 DocScrutinizer: I think I'll just ssh to my phone from another room while in a call Jul 10 12:28:55 put on speaker Jul 10 12:29:00 and bruteforce AT%N Jul 10 12:29:52 I recently sent a excerpt of the code where meaning of the bits is somewhat explained Jul 10 12:30:14 so you could do rather educated tests easily this way Jul 10 12:30:20 tom@stosb.com Jul 10 12:30:27 please forward it :) Jul 10 12:30:51 nah, please skimm the ML Jul 10 12:31:02 tracfeed: Ticket #549 (Python libs) created Jul 10 12:31:15 hm.. got any helpful keywords to give me? Jul 10 13:32:36 that's the paradigm of dbus having 2 busses Jul 10 13:32:58 what's user hot swapping? Jul 10 13:36:50 or can it work simultanously? Jul 10 13:37:13 I think each session has it's own session bus Jul 10 13:37:22 *simultaneously Jul 10 13:37:34 and there's only one system bus Jul 10 13:37:43 DocScrutinizer: I c. Jul 10 13:38:43 and sim-backend live on systembus or the like Jul 10 13:39:00 (backup) exactly Jul 10 13:39:22 that's the foundation idea of it all Jul 10 13:39:43 DocScrutinizer: the use of the sim-backend vs sql-backend should not be visible to the user Jul 10 13:39:52 I mean Jul 10 13:39:56 yes Jul 10 13:40:02 opimd should jsut move to the session bus altogether Jul 10 13:40:09 TAsn, phonelog doesn't show any call for me :( Jul 10 13:40:23 but somehow opimd has to access a system resource called SIM Jul 10 13:40:25 Sharwin_F: ls -l /var/db/ Jul 10 13:40:38 DocScrutinizer: it does that through the framework Jul 10 13:40:58 btw, same issue for phonelog ;-P Jul 10 13:40:59 which runs on the systembus Jul 10 13:41:06 DocScrutinizer: what did you guys do? Illume doesn't show the wifi app - even though it's checked off in illume-settings Jul 10 16:33:21 I'm trying 0709 now.. to see if it's any better Jul 10 16:33:30 or I'm flashing it.. :) Jul 10 16:34:00 FiXion_: there's a lot of shelf-gadgeds that don't behave Jul 10 16:34:03 FiXion_, you mean the gadget in the topbar (wifi)? Jul 10 16:34:22 mrmoku: yes Jul 10 16:34:34 here also yes Jul 10 16:34:36 it shows it only if you are actually connected... and it does that for me Jul 10 16:34:45 I am connected. using iwconfig Jul 10 16:34:47 enabling wifi is not enough to make it appear Jul 10 16:34:50 hmm Jul 10 16:35:03 mofi would not connect to my wep wlan Jul 10 16:35:19 mofi suxx Jul 10 16:35:35 btw, how to DISconnect after connecting? Jul 10 16:39:26 it's really nice on my laptop. after resume I never notice I was actually disconnected while suspended Jul 10 16:39:36 I only have to reconnect to my screen session on my server though :) Jul 10 16:40:25 also neovento has a crap 2.6.28 kernel which takes ages to return from suspend Jul 10 16:40:37 but it's all fixable ofcourse.. just not on nand :) Jul 10 16:40:48 shr/om fits better in that environment Jul 10 16:40:56 why not on nand? o.O Jul 10 16:41:06 min. neovento install is ~210M Jul 10 16:41:32 I tried to add some debian sid sources etc. to get the other apps I'd like.. wasn't room for the package list Jul 10 16:41:37 DocScrutinizer: my shr install is also not in nand. 256m is not enough. Jul 10 16:41:58 shr is small enough for me on nand Jul 10 16:42:07 but I can't have navit cards etc. ofcourse :) Jul 10 16:42:19 but I can wait till I get my sd and make a data partition for that Jul 10 16:42:40 * Q-Master has a 8Gb sd Jul 10 16:42:42 8) Jul 10 16:42:47 * FiXion_ ordered an 16gb Jul 10 16:43:08 cool Jul 10 16:43:11 nice to see that you can build shr on your laptop for armel Jul 10 16:43:18 no problems cross compiling? Jul 10 16:43:32 atleast that's what I understand from the shr build page Jul 10 16:43:50 * Q-Master cant Jul 10 16:44:03 I have a powerpc laptop Jul 10 16:44:33 I have a plain amd64 - with 32bit environment Jul 10 16:44:49 sorry - intel duo core it seems :) Jul 10 16:45:08 just so used to being on amd64 on servers :) Jul 10 16:48:31 why is flashing sooo slow? Jul 10 16:48:43 is the nand just slow for writing Jul 10 16:58:02 FiXion_: USB 1.1 Jul 10 16:59:21 hey guys, how do i have illume call my function after a certain amount of time? Jul 10 16:59:30 illume = ewm Jul 10 17:02:25 I seem to have a problem with freesmartphone services. I'm looking at paroli.log (I don't have a framework.log either...) and it complains about missing services. All of them (GSM, GPRS, SIM, SMS), apparently. Jul 10 17:02:33 FiXion_: dos1, nope that's not USB1.1 slow Jul 10 17:02:48 ChristW, is ophonekitd running? Jul 10 17:03:08 I opkg upgraded this morning. Running Om2009u Jul 10 17:03:28 doesnt mean ophonekitd is running.... Jul 10 17:04:59 ChristW: did you upgraded configs? Jul 10 17:05:14 I answered 'Y' to all config upgrades. Jul 10 17:05:25 so dfu protocol or dfu-util is just blindingly slow :) Jul 10 17:05:34 dos1, theres some trouble with the upgrades, i had to reinstall ophonekitd for it to register itself to run at startup.... Jul 10 17:06:13 At the moment, I don't even _have_ an ophonekitd! find ./* -name '*ophonekitd*' -print returns zip. Jul 10 17:06:44 doesnt fso need the ophonekitd? or its just in SHR? Jul 10 17:07:07 fso needs it, I guess... And since Om2009 is based on it. Jul 10 17:07:15 F4t, ChristW: only SHR Jul 10 17:07:23 ophonekitd is only in SHR Jul 10 17:07:30 I'll update again, and see what's happening then/ Jul 10 17:07:53 reinstall the frameworkd with -force-reinstall Jul 10 17:08:15 dos1, oh, didnt know that Jul 10 17:12:48 F4t: DO I also need to re-install the -conf? Jul 10 17:13:23 ChristW, i think so... Jul 10 17:17:45 And I guess I also need a reboot afterwards :-) Jul 10 17:19:07 where's the connmann config file? Jul 10 17:19:27 I'm thinking it works kinda like wpa_supplicant? Jul 10 17:19:39 (which isn't in the opkg repositories that come with shr) Jul 10 17:19:43 :8 Jul 10 17:19:45 :( Jul 10 17:23:35 FiXion_: wtf? connman uses wpa-supplicant Jul 10 17:25:37 opkg search wpa gives no hits Jul 10 17:25:58 am I missing something in it's search function Jul 10 17:26:25 FiXion_: Try "opkg search '*wpa*'" Jul 10 17:27:16 I see the /etc/wpa_supplicant/ folder is there Jul 10 17:27:30 if I restart connman service - will it start wpa_supplicant and up the wifi connection? Jul 10 17:30:10 where does connmann log ? Jul 10 17:30:26 do I really need to start the wpa_supplicant daemon myself? Jul 10 17:31:04 no, you don't need... Jul 10 17:31:14 if I want a wifi connection that is :) Jul 10 17:31:19 no Jul 10 17:31:28 there isn't a init script for wpa_supplicant Jul 10 17:31:35 and connmann is running Jul 10 17:31:44 but I can't see where it logs Jul 10 17:33:00 byebye Jul 10 17:33:53 blah I stil don't have my gsm operator name over the aplet ;/ Jul 10 17:35:53 alphaone: ping Jul 10 17:36:43 any one knows why ?:P Jul 10 17:37:16 soltys: you have a gsm connection? mine says the owner of the network at the top Jul 10 17:37:39 F4t: Still nothing, and this in the log: usage WARNING can't use fso usage interface service : TimeOut Jul 10 17:38:02 FiXion_: I have connection, and some number instead of name ;) Jul 10 17:38:15 I have the name of the owner of the network. Jul 10 17:38:27 perhaps the number is just what the real network operator sets as name Jul 10 17:38:29 FiXion_: 260 06. Calypso don't know name of Play network in Poland, as it was created after Calypso release :P Jul 10 17:38:42 yo Jul 10 17:39:04 calypso sux ;/ Jul 10 17:39:33 :) Jul 10 17:40:00 dos1: you're telling nonsense Jul 10 17:40:56 DocScrutinizer: why? aren't now three places, where network names are stored? network.tab in /etc/freesmartphone directory, Calypso and SIM card? Jul 10 17:41:07 arghh. is connmann supposed to start wpa_supplicant? Jul 10 17:41:16 and if so - how do I configure it to do so? Jul 10 17:41:29 I've dropped in my wpa_supplicant.conf from my laptop.. Jul 10 17:41:34 calypso has no idea or notion about network name Jul 10 17:41:48 and I could write a small init script to start it at boot Jul 10 17:42:00 how should i interpret the absolute values s3c2410 -driver returns for x and y axis? the maximum values are 1023 for both but the screens only 640x480 Jul 10 17:42:11 with Plus operator there is also difference - in Calypso is stored "Plus GSM", but recently it was renamed to just "Plus". Some time ago i have "Plus" displayed, but after one FSO commit regarding network names it changed again to "Plus GSM" Jul 10 17:42:44 DocScrutinizer: then FSO doesn't fallback to network.tab name when modem doesn't know about it. now correct? ;) Jul 10 17:47:08 ohh well. I wrote a small init script to run wpa_supplicant directly. works like a charm Jul 10 17:52:52 except wifi is down after suspend :( Jul 10 17:53:38 yep, that annoys me too Jul 10 17:53:49 it works on my laptop. Jul 10 17:53:52 well... it is up pysically, but not connected Jul 10 17:53:57 you have to reconnect Jul 10 17:54:02 yup I know Jul 10 17:54:06 I restart wpa_supplicant Jul 10 17:54:10 it didn't connect :( Jul 10 17:54:19 I can get it up using iwconfig ofcourse Jul 10 17:54:28 also there's several error msgs Jul 10 17:54:40 seems some missing features in the driver I'm guessing Jul 10 17:55:29 failed initiate ap scan is what it mainly says Jul 10 17:57:29 after suspend iwlist eth0 scan fails Jul 10 17:57:34 says it doesn't support scanning Jul 10 18:00:55 FiXion_: see /etc/freesmartphone/ogsmd/networks.tab for your "and some number instead of name" Jul 10 18:01:17 err. sorry Jul 10 18:01:22 soltys: ^^ Jul 10 18:01:42 np :) Jul 10 18:01:52 if I rmmod and modprobe ar6000 Jul 10 18:01:59 it works - until I start wpa_supplicant again Jul 10 18:02:21 DocScrutinizer: it doesn't work Jul 10 18:02:31 DocScrutinizer: Play is already listed in networks.tab Jul 10 18:03:35 DocScrutinizer: yeap it's in there ;P but doesn't show ;P Jul 10 18:04:36 hmm, no idea then. As I observe it here, it takes the network name out of some table/db (for me that's "O2-de") and after a few minutes the operator sends info about real name of network (or it's retrieved from SIM, dunno) - which is "interkom" for me and substitutes o2-de after a short while Jul 10 18:05:18 for me it's 260 06 for all the time ;/ Jul 10 18:06:23 for me it's "Plus GSM" all the time, but operator sends "Plus" and in networks.tab it's "Plus" Jul 10 18:07:35 check shrsettings->phone->modem-info Jul 10 18:08:01 and as mickey|lunch about details on operation ;-) Jul 10 18:08:34 onen also should know Jul 10 18:08:58 at least about operator codes Jul 10 18:09:25 network sends a short-name and a full-name Jul 10 18:09:51 they may differ, or miss one of both or completely Jul 10 18:10:17 DocScrutinizer, interesting... with my wife's MNet SIM it shows o2-de for some time too (they use o2 network) and then MNet Jul 10 18:10:31 network also send the numeric id, which may be more than one for same provider Jul 10 18:10:56 mrmoku: exactly the same, yes Jul 10 18:13:28 AIUI framework is showing "unknown" for a network it can't find the name of by any of the roundabout 5 methods, so if instead of plus there's some number showing, I'd guess either network or sim are delivering this as the name (obviously a bug) Jul 10 18:14:50 mrmoku: do you have a stable reconnect wifi script? Jul 10 18:15:13 it seems I need some combination of ifconfig eth0 down; ifconfig eth0 up; iwconfig ...; ifup eth0 Jul 10 18:15:19 but you need to as mickey abot details, I don't know exactly how FSO is handling this Jul 10 18:15:27 asK Jul 10 18:15:33 aboUt Jul 10 18:15:46 DocScrutinizer: i think it's SIM - when scanning available networks, it's also listed "260 06" Jul 10 18:15:55 yeap ;P Jul 10 18:16:23 in modem info there is 260 06 and no Play :< Jul 10 18:17:42 probably prio collation isn't as usual in FSO, means SIM is overriding network-longname or sth like that Jul 10 18:19:49 btw, in *my* networks.tab there's NO 206 06 Jul 10 18:20:19 only 206 01 Proximus ; 206 10 Mobistar ; 206 20 BASE Jul 10 18:20:35 DocScrutinizer: not 260, not 206 Jul 10 18:20:45 ooh, sorry Jul 10 18:20:58 there are 4 functional operators: Plus, Orange, Era, Play Jul 10 18:21:18 yesyes Jul 10 18:22:22 260 06 Play P4 Sp. z o.o Operational UMTS 2100 (< dunno if FSO cares about "bands" col Jul 10 18:23:53 obviously that's wrong anyway, as FR can't operate on UMTS2100 Jul 10 18:25:17 DocScrutinizer: that's old data Jul 10 18:25:23 DocScrutinizer: it's also operating on GSM 900 Jul 10 18:25:47 DocScrutinizer: (but only for few months) Jul 10 18:26:26 in sense - they get permission to use GSM 900 recently and are using it now Jul 10 18:26:29 so maybe you might consider to update that row in /etc/freesmartphone/ogsmd/networks.tab to see if that fixes the issue Jul 10 18:26:58 dos1: n? ;-P Jul 10 18:27:08 DocScrutinizer: i'm doing it now :D Jul 10 18:27:31 just before saying that i checked if i'm correct Jul 10 18:27:35 and i am, so updating now Jul 10 18:28:24 ;] Jul 10 18:29:46 freesmartphone.org: 03seba.dos1 07framework * r1ac9e11a6393 10/etc/freesmartphone/ogsmd/networks.tab: networks.tab: update information about Play network (Poland, 260-06) Jul 10 18:31:31 dos1: hope you mentioned my advice ;-) Jul 10 18:32:39 anyway, more interesting would be if it works now or not Jul 10 18:34:04 DocScrutinizer: I check that in few sec but I don't think that it would work ;) Jul 10 18:34:17 me too Jul 10 18:34:22 hehe dos1 sorry Jul 10 18:34:31 btw, did you see my memos? Jul 10 18:55:52 thats strange becouse few o fmy frends have phones in Play and they are showing Play as operator.. Jul 10 18:56:12 and my neo don't want to do that ;) Jul 10 18:56:39 that's actually because your neo is *better* Jul 10 18:56:40 DocScrutinizer: so what is for networks.tab then ? Ask mickey Jul 10 19:03:39 bye Jul 10 19:11:50 TAsn: are you working on Calls support in pyphonelog? Jul 10 19:12:16 actually, I have a major test this week so I don't think I'll do that today Jul 10 19:12:21 though my plans are as follows: Jul 10 19:12:28 TAsn: but that's great test for Calls domain, i'm doing it now ;> Jul 10 19:12:38 add calls support to pyhphonelog Jul 10 19:12:53 a day after: drop pyhphonelog and write phonegui-phonelog ;) Jul 10 19:13:33 TAsn: i'm editing pyphonelog to have opimd Calls support. it'll be named opimd-phonelog in opimd-utils until it gets usable ;) Jul 10 19:13:55 okie Jul 10 19:13:59 dos1, let me know when you are done Jul 10 19:13:59 :) Jul 10 19:14:15 dos1, feel free to drop legacy handling code Jul 10 19:14:16 in Jul 10 19:14:20 populateList Jul 10 19:14:24 :) Jul 10 19:14:32 a lot there is used for legacy handling ;\ Jul 10 19:14:37 that's why the code is a tad ugly. Jul 10 19:25:55 btw, the canonizeNumber function needs a fix Jul 10 19:26:10 as it's done like it's done with the zhone, which is not what DocScrutinizer told us to do ;) Jul 10 19:26:21 canonizePhoneNumber :) Jul 10 19:26:41 though I guess this can be easily done as DocScrutinizer provided us regex iirc ;) Jul 10 19:28:11 dos1, I think that's a dumb thing to do Jul 10 19:28:21 (having two names, caller an recipient) Jul 10 19:28:24 and* Jul 10 19:28:29 just makes getting data harder Jul 10 19:28:33 or more annoying to be exact Jul 10 19:29:31 dos1, just call them both 'peer' Jul 10 19:29:32 :) Jul 10 19:30:00 which is more reasonable, easier to understand, easier to remember and more importantly easier to program with :) Jul 10 19:30:08 dos1, don't you agree? Jul 10 19:34:35 TAsn: but would it be ok for conference calls? Jul 10 19:34:55 when you call someone, maybe you want to store info about that (calculating costs?) Jul 10 19:35:10 dos1 Jul 10 19:35:19 you just keep info about a direction Jul 10 19:35:23 does anyone know how do the sim-apps work? Jul 10 19:35:25 i agree having only "peer" is simplier, but maybe it would decrease flexibility Jul 10 19:35:26 and a peer Jul 10 19:35:38 TAsn: but think about Calls in general, not only GSM Jul 10 19:35:48 dos1, I know Jul 10 19:35:51 but listen for a sec Jul 10 19:35:52 :) Jul 10 19:36:10 you should just add a column for Jul 10 19:36:20 conference Jul 10 19:36:34 though even in a conference call Jul 10 19:36:40 you only have a peer and a direction Jul 10 19:36:44 you may have a couple of peer Jul 10 19:36:44 s Jul 10 19:36:49 but those are different calls Jul 10 19:36:53 as they may have called Jul 10 19:36:54 you Jul 10 19:36:58 and you may have called later Jul 10 19:37:07 and you may have use voip with gsm Jul 10 19:37:11 i.e add a voip call to a gsm call Jul 10 19:37:22 hmmm Jul 10 19:37:25 therefore you should consider having a conference id column Jul 10 19:37:32 which will be null everywhere Jul 10 19:37:40 except when this call is part of a conference Jul 10 19:37:45 then you'll use an id Jul 10 19:37:46 TAsn: you can have as much columns as you want Jul 10 19:37:50 ... Jul 10 19:37:56 and id to get by Jul 10 19:37:57 ... Jul 10 19:37:59 an* Jul 10 19:38:09 I think that's the right way to do it Jul 10 19:38:11 hi, i have an mplayer quick launcher icon on the desktop, how can i remove that guy? Jul 10 19:38:12 TAsn: hmm, i think you're right Jul 10 19:38:29 dos1, (all that said because I want it to be called "peer" and nothing else:) ) Jul 10 19:38:37 dos1, so peer it is? :) Jul 10 19:38:49 TAsn: yep, it will be peer in few minutes Jul 10 19:38:57 TAsn: but i have already working opimd-phonelog :) Jul 10 19:39:07 dos1, btw, you also keep the type of the call? Jul 10 19:39:14 TAsn: yes Jul 10 19:39:17 cool :) Jul 10 19:39:22 dos1, hm.. link me to opimd-phonelog Jul 10 19:39:24 please ;) Jul 10 19:39:35 I want to review your changes Jul 10 19:39:36 TAsn: (only refreshing and marking "unread/read" is still to be done) Jul 10 19:39:40 and maybe use it ;) Jul 10 19:39:43 TAsn: moment, i have it only locally now :) Jul 10 19:39:48 dos1, no need for that Jul 10 19:39:49 dos1, Jul 10 19:39:54 I just check read/unread by date Jul 10 19:39:55 ... Jul 10 19:40:05 hmm Jul 10 19:40:06 just watch the populate list function Jul 10 19:40:15 at the beginning and end Jul 10 19:40:21 I read/store the last read time Jul 10 19:40:26 it's easy and generic Jul 10 19:40:35 no need to store that in db as well Jul 10 19:41:04 ok, for phonelog app that's ok Jul 10 19:41:06 (and more importantly already there) Jul 10 19:41:08 dos1, btw Jul 10 19:41:09 so only refreshing :D Jul 10 19:41:16 watch the register class Jul 10 19:41:24 oops Jul 10 19:41:28 I mean signalSomething class Jul 10 19:41:36 it's designed to respond on signals Jul 10 19:41:43 just modify the signal it responds to Jul 10 19:41:44 signalmonitor? Jul 10 19:41:46 and the callback function Jul 10 19:41:48 dos1, aye :) Jul 10 19:41:53 I don't use it atm iirc Jul 10 19:41:54 yep, i noticed it already Jul 10 19:41:56 it may be commented out Jul 10 19:42:04 actually Jul 10 19:42:09 it is used Jul 10 19:42:15 (there's a config option) Jul 10 19:42:25 dos1: BTW, what format of phone numbers will be there? tel:number or just number? Jul 10 20:00:22 TAsn: i'm updating everything on NewCall signal Jul 10 20:00:33 ok, but I'm also updating on tab switch Jul 10 20:00:38 so add a flag Jul 10 20:00:41 for each tab Jul 10 20:00:47 (tabclass, forgot the name atm) Jul 10 20:00:58 actually Jul 10 20:01:03 just check if the model is empty Jul 10 20:01:08 no wait, bad. Jul 10 20:01:10 add a flag :) Jul 10 20:01:19 to know if you already probed for this tab Jul 10 20:01:46 or if you want (will increase load time, which is bad) you can just populate all tabs on load Jul 10 20:01:50 (bad bad bad, don't) Jul 10 20:02:11 again, my suggestion: add a flag, and probe on tab switch only if not already probed Jul 10 20:02:19 what do you think? Jul 10 20:02:44 (easy, just add a little check at the beginning of the tab switch callback) Jul 10 20:03:04 got what I mean? :) Jul 10 20:06:04 oh, yes Jul 10 20:06:08 but that's your work ;>>> Jul 10 20:06:17 i'm only integrating with opimd :D Jul 10 20:06:28 hm..
