Dec 13 16:21:28 PaulFertser: thanks paul :) will give that a try Dec 13 16:31:21 Wow, i can do a lot with opimd-cli.... like a lot a lot a lot!!!! Dec 13 16:34:46 nully: :) Dec 13 16:34:53 nully: thank dos1 for that Dec 13 16:35:30 I use it for adding contacts because it is so easy that I didn't feel any need to implement the functionality in fso-el :) Dec 13 16:35:45 :) Dec 13 16:36:11 Hey dos1 :) Dec 13 16:36:33 hello! Dec 13 16:36:43 Any plans to ditch dbus for something sane (and no, kdbus is not an option)? ;) Dec 13 16:37:25 hehe Dec 13 16:38:18 mickeyl recently sent a cryptic mail about him considering some kdbus stuff "very interesting" in context of fso ;> Dec 13 16:38:29 Seen that, hence asking. Dec 13 16:38:54 He was quite excited about libdbus to libqdbus move too. Dec 13 16:41:12 anyway, the plan for quite a long time now would be to make new FSO release Dec 13 16:43:46 I didn't have much time to care about what's next though, so no ideas about using/switching from [kq]dbus on my side yet ;) Dec 13 17:21:22 Another question I am curiously about, has anyone tried that free GSM firmware for the GTA-02? Dec 13 17:22:01 I know its in a very rough state, I"m trying to get a hold of a second gta-02 to play with it on. Dec 13 17:22:03 There's no free firmware. Dec 13 17:22:16 It's not really free as in freedom legality-wise. Dec 13 17:22:21 let me get the link Dec 13 17:22:27 its a semi-recent thing Dec 13 17:22:32 Or do you mean osmocomm? Dec 13 17:22:44 no... sec Dec 13 17:23:24 http://norayr.arnet.am/log/?p=113 Dec 13 17:23:26 that Dec 13 17:23:52 I know the current state is rough, I'm not really sure what needs doing still. Dec 13 17:24:34 leo2moko is not free software, and it's equivalent to the usual moko firmware. Dec 13 17:25:15 I see, ya I dont know much about it. Its just been on my radar Dec 13 17:26:09 I guess i have to look into what the blobs still are Dec 13 17:26:27 I mean, there is no source at all for the moko11 gsm firmware, no? Dec 13 17:26:37 (or am i mistaken) Dec 13 17:27:25 No source, yes. But having source doesn't make something free software. Dec 13 17:27:50 ftp://ftp.ifctf.org/pub/GSM/TI_src/Sotovik/README Covers most of my blob questions :) Dec 13 17:28:11 It seems doable, with an invetment of time :/ Dec 13 17:28:39 And makes me think I need another openmoko x.x 'cause i'ma probably blow it up Dec 13 17:31:48 It's impossible to brick calypso. But you can accidentally overwrite the calibration data, so you should have a reliable back up of it. Dec 13 17:34:15 In the README file it covers what the author thinks needs doing to replace the remaining blobs. And warns about a few places where you can damage hardware.
