**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Mon Jun 08 02:59:59 2015 Jun 08 19:59:31 Hi all: I've got a dreamplug running debian that I haven't upgraded in a while, but I needed to upgrade for a variety of reasons (including software support). I did an apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade, and its now warning me about a udev upgrade requiring a matching kernel upgrade or breakage will result... Jun 08 20:00:11 I'm so out of the loop that I'm not sure where to get a kernel upgrade, or what version I would need. I do remember that kernels were loaded manually, and that I had a heck of a time finding a "good" kernel the first go-round (3-5 years ago?) Jun 08 20:01:00 Suggestions? udev version throwing the warning/error is udev_215-17+deb8u1_armel.deb Its blocking about 50 packages to update still. Jun 08 20:25:20 Read more...aparenty I'm making the jump to Debian 8 (jesse), and jessee "fully supports" the dreamplug. Also, the only howto's I can find on installing it either say to use the debian-installer (and no special notes at the end re: installing kernels, etc), or have a hacked-up install procedure for Debian 5.... Jun 08 20:25:56 So, I gather that there are now kernel packages available for the dream/sheeva/guru, but I haven't managed to find them yet, nor do I know the procedure for setting them up...I'd greatly appreciate some support/advice for migrating to this path. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Tue Jun 09 02:59:58 2015
