**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Dec 23 02:59:56 2006 **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Sat Dec 23 04:30:59 2006 Dec 23 09:59:48 who can upload a file to the wiki? Dec 23 10:11:53 jelle: I can Dec 23 10:14:50 I want to add a script to a wiki page, but it would be confusing to add the whole script to the page Dec 23 10:16:06 rwhitby: can I pm you? Dec 23 10:16:12 how many lines is it? Dec 23 10:16:55 you could easily put that in a code segment in the wiki - it's not too long Dec 23 10:18:28 ok, I'll do that. Dec 23 10:20:39 I think my page is done. If you are bored or curious you can read it at http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/HowTo/CatchRequestsToAdServers Dec 23 10:26:17 if it is good enough we can add it to the list of HowTo's Dec 23 10:32:39 I could add a little more about the cherokee.conf and how I included an extra conf file there to handle all requests Dec 23 12:17:50 I have a problem with the intel Access Library Dec 23 12:17:55 I want to build slugos-3.10-beta Dec 23 12:18:08 but on the intel site I only fnd ixp400AccessLibrary-2_3.zip Dec 23 12:18:26 not the required ixp400AccessLibrary-2_1.zip Dec 23 12:18:31 any suggestion how to fix this? Dec 23 12:19:32 hm, just found http://www.intel.com/design/network/products/npfamily/ixp400_archives.htm in the wiki Dec 23 12:19:42 anyway, tnx for the great job :-) Dec 23 17:42:43 hm. strange. update-rc.d created a S20dnsmasq and a S20cherokee for me, but only S20cherokee will get started... Dec 23 17:43:13 is this normal behaviour? Dec 23 20:39:11 I just flashed my Linksys NSLU2 with OpenSlug-3.10-beta-firmware unslung from flash to disk /dev/sda1 and everything works the disk is mounted and shows up when i 'df' i see it. However there is no activity on the led for disk1? What did I do wrong? Dec 23 20:40:18 D1N: the leds don't flash anymore on OpenSlug 3.10 Dec 23 20:40:34 It's something to get used to, but that's how it is Dec 23 20:40:39 ignore those leds. Dec 23 20:41:06 I don't know why it was dropped. Dec 23 20:41:09 jelle thanks so much for informing me about that. I searched and spent a good while before I came in here to ask about it. Dec 23 20:41:39 Same here some time ago. maybe we should add some info on this in the wiki Dec 23 20:42:03 Yeah I think that would be helpfull for others Dec 23 20:42:10 You're right. Dec 23 20:42:18 NAiL: you here? Dec 23 20:42:23 or rwhitby? Dec 23 20:43:58 jelle yes Dec 23 20:46:11 just like to get my "no disk leds in openslug 3.10" confirmed. that is right right? Dec 23 20:46:47 that they don't light up unless you make them? Dec 23 20:46:48 that's right Dec 23 20:46:58 I'd like to put a line in the wiki, that's all. thanks Dec 23 20:47:03 thanks Dec 23 20:47:10 They still don't light up in HEAD Dec 23 20:47:38 Someone will have to write a hook for scsi and/or usb in the kernel Dec 23 20:47:58 NAiL so you can configure them to light up? I'm sorry but would you be kind enough to point me in the right direction. I would like to enable the led activity for my NSLU2 on disk1. Dec 23 20:48:45 I would like to research this and see if I can contribute something to the project since its just recently become an issue. Dec 23 20:49:22 D1N: I'll put a line in InitialisingOpenSlug to warn about the lights. is that where you would have liked to have read about it? Dec 23 20:49:37 jelle thats perfect Dec 23 20:52:13 it's there. check it for me if you can. Dec 23 20:54:03 im there right now - quote: Note: in OpenSlug 3.10 beta the disk leds do not turn on or flash when there is a disk attached. No lights. Just the power and ethernet leds work Dec 23 20:54:20 good job and thank you im sure others will find this very helpfull Dec 23 20:54:33 good. that should do it. sorry it wasn't there before Dec 23 20:55:12 D1N: use "leds" to turn them on. It won't work as an activity led until someone does the kernel bits though Dec 23 20:55:17 (and noone has so far) Dec 23 20:55:20 hey n/p im just greatfull that we have this firmware. Its really cool and this device has been really useful in my day to day life. Dec 23 20:57:24 its funny how i found the NSLU2 because im a huge fan of openwrt for the linksys wrt54g and one night around 2am i was in a walmart near my home browsing around and I found this before i even knew about openslug and decided to get it. It was on clearance too! I've had it now for over a year and its been so much fun to play with. Dec 23 20:57:44 oh and the next day i found the firmware on google. :D Dec 23 20:58:14 D1N: feel free to leave a donation at http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Main/Donate - we're raising money to purchase some new server hardware for the project autobuilders Dec 23 20:58:15 its almost as cool as my modded xbox Dec 23 20:58:43 rwhitby i will do that after the 5th you have my word Dec 23 21:13:38 rwhitby: good reminder.
