**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Sep 11 02:59:56 2007 Sep 11 08:05:39 Hi, wondering if anyone can help. I've been building openslug under debian on a ppc mac without problems. I'm now trying to build the same code on an ubuntu AMD-64 machine and am hitting an error I can't understand. During do_rootfs() on slugos-image-1.0-r28 I get "ipkg: Cannot create directory `/usr/lib/ipkg': Permission denied". I guess that some prefix that should be in front of that isn't defined. Anyone seen the before? Sep 11 08:25:41 I've seen that before, but it never stops a build Sep 11 09:25:48 rwhitby: Must be something else actually stopping it then. I'm waiting for a clean build, so I'll post some more details later if it happens again. Thanks. Sep 11 12:02:43 Right, still seeing the same problem, can anyone help diagnose what's happenning? http://the.earth.li/~toby/log.do_rootfs.13937 Sep 11 12:02:54 NOTE: package slugos-image-1.0-r28: task do_rootfs: failed Sep 11 12:03:44 all the Cannot find package ... errors are the real problem Sep 11 12:05:14 and 'ht5' and 'php' are not part of any standard slug image, so I'm assuming you're modifying the image during the build, and those modifications are causing the problem. Sep 11 12:06:11 ahh, I hadn't spotted that they were different errors at the bottom. Sep 11 12:06:52 Yes, I've added my own app (ht5) and php to the build. Strangely, this builds fine under debian/ppc, but is failing here under ubuntu/amd-64 Sep 11 12:07:05 I have something to look for now though, so thanks. Sep 11 12:17:03 np Sep 11 12:25:47 Ok, so, taking out my new packages from local.conf, it still complains about all the other missing packages and fails :( Sep 11 12:33:57 Comparing my two trees, in the good one, there are plenty of ipks in deploy/ipk, in the broken tree they all seem to be in deploy/ipk/morgue. **** BEGIN LOGGING AT Tue Sep 11 13:31:46 2007 **** ENDING LOGGING AT Wed Sep 12 02:59:56 2007
