Aug 29 09:02:31 this happens when 3g dongle decides to reset for whatever reason. kernel log shows ttyUSB devices getting removed and instantly re-added. between netifd says ttyUSB is missing and refuses to reconnect. if only ppp link is lost but ttyUSB devices stay in place it's automatically reconnected just fine. Aug 29 09:05:23 maybe the hotplug script isn't working properly Aug 29 09:11:55 of course it doesn't happen always ie. sometimes even when 3g is reset it works. Aug 29 09:13:22 i also noticed that if there's two 3g connections and pppd is connecting them exactly same time sometimes only one of links comes up and pppd just hangs for ever with no ip addresses in log or configured on interface. seen this only twice so far.
