**** BEGIN LOGGING AT Fri Sep 28 02:59:56 2007 Sep 28 03:00:23 Anybody interested in my neo/qtopia observations? Sep 28 03:02:23 yes Sep 28 03:02:42 ljp: I thought you'd answer. Here's what I saw today... Sep 28 03:03:27 which version? Sep 28 03:03:28 Since I want to receive phone calls, I didn't suspend. The battery lasted for about 6.5 hrs with the screen off. It still showed 3 bars when it died. Sep 28 03:03:54 hmm Sep 28 03:04:46 We have a cell repeater inside our office building, so I get full strength signal inside. The phone dropped my call while walking out the front door and doesn't pick up the cells outside the building. My backup phone still has full signal (from an outside tower, presumably) Sep 28 03:05:17 I got "No Network Available" until I approached the highway. Then, I got one bar and re-registered. Sep 28 03:06:08 When switching towers while driving, I would drop connection and get registration denied. When I got to the next cell, it would register, but drop again some time later (I have a 40 mile drive home). Sep 28 03:06:22 hmm Sep 28 03:06:44 During the whole drive, the backup phone shows full signal and hands off without any problems, except for the period leaving work until I get to the highway (a shallow spot) Sep 28 03:07:26 When I was registered on the network, the dialer crashed every time I tried to make a phone call. I don't know if qtopia has a log file, but here are the symptoms: Sep 28 03:07:44 hmm odd Sep 28 03:08:02 I would dial, it switched to (dialing) page. Then, at connection time, simply drop to the main page. I still was registered on the network. Sep 28 03:10:31 thats a feature to save you money in phone call fees... :) Sep 28 03:10:42 just kiddin Sep 28 03:11:01 I havent had that problem Sep 28 03:12:27 No biggie. I just wanted to share my experiences. I don't plan on developing much on the qtopia platform, but I enjoy testing it out. Sep 28 03:17:53 thanks for that Sep 28 03:18:21 Should I post on the forum or is this enough? Sep 28 03:19:31 this is enough. :) Sep 28 03:38:02 ljp: I should mention that I'm running on a recent build of openmoko's 2.6.22.5-moko11 Sep 28 04:16:06 ljp: rohanpm: i got a crash importing a vcf (with picture) http://pastebin.ca/718158 Sep 28 04:17:23 j0tt: can you tell us the name of the contact?
