Dec 25 14:14:08 Hello. Im using pandaboardES and I have some questions about booting ubuntu. Dec 25 14:15:21 I loaded the 11.10 preinstaled desktop image on SD and Panda started corectly. Then There were starting screen of ubuntu with "resizing.." undet the ubuntu logo Dec 25 14:16:06 After few minutes Panda probably restarted or something to finish the procedure and since then nothing happend Dec 25 14:17:02 I am unable to boot it or even see anything on the screen. Should I try to modify the bootloader? Dec 25 15:17:46 totalgej_, first: file a bug against the jasper-initramfs package and attach the jasper.log file from var.log to it ... second, have a look at that file if there are any resize errors ... normally it would move on into the graphical installer after the reboot (*if* and only if you didnt touch the panda during that process (i.e. a reboot before the resizing is fully done would trash the whole install)) Dec 25 15:18:52 theoretically it should all work just fine, we extebnsively test all the images we release on a ton of different cards ... but it can indeed always happen that there are cards where this step is breaking for unknown reasons Dec 25 15:19:15 so if you have a different card handy i would suggest to try with that one Dec 25 15:19:38 * ogra_ goes back to vacation Dec 25 16:31:56 Another possibilityis if this is the 4460, you may run into issues with 11.10 stock. The voltages on the board are not properly configured in the release kernel, which will cause overheating. I believe this was fixed in an updated kernel. **** ENDING LOGGING AT Mon Dec 26 02:59:56 2011
