Feb 29 05:54:28 eh doesn't mean it won't be fun to play with Feb 29 05:55:59 based on the fact that their website sucks and is down already, i doubt anyone will be buying any Feb 29 05:57:42 I seriously doubt that Feb 29 06:01:45 i could see lots of applications for the pi Feb 29 06:02:25 not desktop, but embedded Feb 29 06:04:30 meh, farnell.com is down, and that other one is like register to show your interest Feb 29 06:04:39 i hate sites like that, just stfu and take my money Feb 29 06:19:54 steev_: agreed, they just said on twitter it should be fixed at some point, keep refrsehing Feb 29 06:20:10 lopi: i have better things to do Feb 29 06:20:21 they had their chance Feb 29 06:20:28 like the XO i will not buy one now Feb 29 07:12:10 steev_, hah, I plan on getting one after the rush dies down, It is not an apple device, screw joining the queues for it Feb 29 07:13:21 lilstevie: your distributors are a reflection of self, if you choose (admittedly huge) suppliers who can't handle the load, you're not worth my time. i wasn't particularly interested overall, but i figured i'd load up and see if i could, since neither site would even load, meh Feb 29 07:16:15 heh, well to be honest I am shocked about RS Feb 29 07:16:21 huge multinational Feb 29 07:16:25 can't take a bit of load Feb 29 13:28:32 joined Feb 29 13:28:40 excuse me ! ! ! Feb 29 13:36:07 That will do it. Feb 29 13:36:33 other way ? Feb 29 13:37:12 There's no way to install ubuntu-desktop without installing ubuntu-desktop, no. Feb 29 13:38:31 yes Feb 29 13:39:05 1046 packages, how multiple packages to a package? Feb 29 13:39:50 more packed into one package? Feb 29 13:40:03 Packages have dependencies. Feb 29 13:40:21 ubuntu-desktop depends on everything required for a "proper" Ubuntu Desktop environment. Feb 29 13:40:27 yes Feb 29 13:41:18 i thinks have a way to convert more packages into one package ! ! ! Feb 29 13:41:59 Can i build 1046 packages in Ubuntu ARM ? Feb 29 13:52:32 yes thank you so much Feb 29 16:02:53 I find information on how to handle GPIO on a BeagleBoard-xm Feb 29 16:11:40 Maybe on the beagleboard web site? or elinux.org? Feb 29 16:13:42 and look at these sites and found no information Feb 29 16:49:37 ogra_: my ucm configs for pandaES didn't get in. They are not on the image. I thought you posted them last week? Feb 29 16:50:11 hmm, i definitely uploaded them Feb 29 16:52:31 And are we not doing anything with the mx5 image? I've asked multiple times on #ubuntu-release to have it added to the tracker. Feb 29 16:53:02 we should test it too Feb 29 16:53:11 not sure why it didnt end up on the tracker Feb 29 16:53:22 it is surely in the same area as ac100 Feb 29 16:53:36 I already have, and filed a bug for the newer rev board not working, but no where to post results. Feb 29 16:54:32 well, infinity claimed ownership for signing off mx5 and ac100 ... mx5 is on the manifest with his name next to it now, so it also should be on the tracker Feb 29 16:59:52 ogra_: I only added it to the manifest yesterday, mind you. Feb 29 17:00:36 err, i added it Feb 29 17:00:48 do we have it twice now ? Feb 29 17:00:59 I'm debating on failing the image. It works on older mx5 boards, but not the currently shipping models. Feb 29 17:01:22 Still not in the tracker. Feb 29 17:01:39 ah, you merged both into one line Feb 29 17:11:05 ogra_: Are you testing (and reporting) on the AC100? Feb 29 17:17:34 infinity: I'm at a quandry with the mx5 start-r rev. Do I fail the image because of this or not? I have a bug filed and marked as high (bug 943058). Feb 29 17:17:35 Launchpad bug 943058 in linux-linaro-lt-mx5 "Kernel doesn't support usb on newer rev quickstart boards." [High,New] https://launchpad.net/bugs/943058 Feb 29 17:18:00 GrueMaster: Don't fail the image, it works on most of the hardware out there. Feb 29 17:18:07 GrueMaster: But we really should try to escalate that bug. Feb 29 17:18:27 I'll see what I can do. Feb 29 17:18:52 It rests solely on Linaro. Interestingly, the SD that came with my original mx5 works fine on the newer board. Feb 29 17:19:40 Yeah, I'm sure it's a regression, not a question of new board support. Feb 29 17:20:14 Well, the shipping image is based on Lucid with a Maverick kernel iirc. I think it was entirely internal. Feb 29 17:20:53 And in talking to the Linaro guys, they don't have the newer rev boards (they started shipping in December). Feb 29 17:20:57 The image that came with my QuickStart didn't have a kernel that was even remotely Ubuntu-related. Feb 29 17:21:18 2.6.35.3-744-g27fdf7b Feb 29 17:21:29 Well. It is 2.6.35 iirc. Feb 29 17:21:34 Yea. Feb 29 17:21:36 Well, that may have some Ubuntu sauce applied, not sure, but it's clearly a Freescale internal build. Feb 29 17:23:45 yes, never said it wasn't. But I think I was told before UDS that they had branched off of our tree. Feb 29 17:30:36 GrueMaster, yes, fine to do it **** ENDING LOGGING AT Thu Mar 01 02:59:59 2012
